Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted December 17, 2002 There were some interesting comments from Chris Jericho in his post-PPV match interview on wwe.com. While he was very complimentary of the tag title match and Christian, he also make it clear he is more interested in getting back into the world title chase. Jericho said: <<"I think Christian and I will always have an alliance – we have great chemistry, we trust each other,” he said. “I’d like to start making a bid towards to World Championship again though. It’s been almost a year. Actually, I won it last year here; I became the first Undisputed Champion right here at Armageddon. I think it’s time for me to get back on that track and start putting my thoughts and my mind back into being a singles competitor.”>> I thought this was interesting because is most of Jericho's interviews lately he's said he doesn't care about main events and titles anymore. Instead, he's just concerned with entertaining the fans and putting on a good match. He seemed to talk more about Fozzy than anything. Maybe he already knew about a plan for a program between him and Michaels. But it's odd that he's done a 180 all of a sudden. Booker T also made comments that he still considers himself a singles wrestler and doesn't see him and Goldust as a long term tag team. Hopefully they won't get RVD'd over to The World now. Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Nah, Jericho's too young and non-injury prone to be a Raw title contender...
Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted December 17, 2002 shit, yeah! jericho used to be the world champion, now he's nowhere! that's kinda weird now i think about it. it's almost like someone has it in for him. seriously, he cut a fantastic promo on shawn yesterday, then later in the show he grabs the stick once again ... they go straight to commercial. FUCK OFF!!!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted December 17, 2002 it's almost like someone has it in for him HHHmmm, I wonder wHHHo that could be...
Guest Repo Man jr Report post Posted December 17, 2002 One thing I liked in the Elimination Chamber match was Jericho looked good in that. He took out Booker and Kane with his Lionsault. He got Hunter in the Walls and then just as Hunter was gonna get to the ropes Jericho pulled him back in the middle. Hunter sold it well too and if it wasn't for HBK's cheap shot he looked like he'd win. Maybe now with RVD Hunter has found someone who he hates more than Jericho and so is just focusing on him. Guest Loss4Words Report post Posted December 17, 2002 If this is the beginning of another main event push for Jericho, I'm happy, but the jury is still out on whether or not that is the case. If so, I'd like to see them actually get it right once and for all. Jericho is considered a top guy by most fans and even management, but he's not a "tippety top guy", as HHH would say. It's time to get him there by any means necessary. Personally, I'd book him strong for six months with very believable, low-key promos and lots of wins. I *GUARANTEE* you he could draw against anyone at that point. The problem with Jericho has never been that no one cares about him, it's been that no one thought he stood a decent chance of pulling anything miraculous off. He can work the crowd like a God and has been able to for quite some time, it's just that Jericho's not one of those guys that ever gets to do something so strong that people think about him when he's not on their TV screen. That's what he needs to get him over that hump finally.
Guest Repo Man jr Report post Posted December 17, 2002 I was bored of him for quite a bit but I'm really becoming a big Y2J fan again. Aside from maybe Angle I'd say Jericho is the best guy in company. He talks and wrestles better than any of the chosen main eventers and he gets the biggest reaction/heat from the crowd on Raw. His promos have been reminding me of the old heel Rocky too.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Besides RVD, I'd say that Jericho deserves to be the World Champion. Actually, I see him winning the title sometime in 2003, probably around SummerSlam. By that time, HHH won't be in the main event as much, and the WWE will be better than they are now. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted December 17, 2002 mr jeff, you are a real glass half full kinda guy, and in these desperate times i salute you for that.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted December 17, 2002 I wish I could be a glass half full guy again, but around now I am of the glass 9/10 empty sort.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Jericho-HBK at Wrestlemania has potential, and it looks like they might be setting that up. Having one eliminate the other in the Rumble would be the first logical step.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 17, 2002 I could see him winning the title...as a face. He just isn't a convincing heel champ, although poor booking hurt him last time as well. And the fans still want to cheer him. They DO cheer him. And as much as he calls himself the "King of the World," they chant "Y2J" all the time. Last night...versus Kane... He'd make a good face champion versus a monster heel...like HHH. And overcoming the odds like that...it...it just ain't gonna happen. Sorry, Jericho. You need a few more inches of height, some more muscle on your frame, and your dick in a McMahon before you have a chance of being seriously pushed towards the title ever...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER...a-gain. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Nah, Jericho's too young and non-injury prone to be a Raw title contender... He's also too over and can draw heat. He can't be in the Title hunt.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Jericho would make a better Champ face or heel than HHH ever could. If this Jericho/Micheals fued does happen do you think Jericho will end up going over, or is this the same old same old.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted December 17, 2002 With all of the "You should have overcome the odds" talk there is no way they are going to job HBK again.

Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Triple H's hair isn't even that good anymore...as you can see a noticeable bald spot showing. And, when he tries to slick it back, a hole always pops up somewhere, making his hair not look so good. Also, did Jericho used to put bleach in his hair? His hair looks more sandy blond than it did when he debuted a few years ago.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Jericho would make a better Champ face or heel than HHH ever could. We know that, but with Steph on the booking team... I'm sure we'd see something like cleaning up dog shit again.

I did notice that for a while he had the end of his ponytail tinted dark red, just like Ozzy. Considering his band's old name (Fozzy Osbourne) I think it was meant as some kind of tribute. Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted December 18, 2002 If this Jericho/Micheals fued does happen do you think Jericho will end up going over, or is this the same old same old. I would like to think Vince would realize HBK going over does nothing for anybody, as HBK's career could conceivably end during his next match, while Jericho will be around for a long time. Of course, it *is* a Kliq member and Jericho we're talking about, so...you know the rest...
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted December 19, 2002 RVD/Jericho could easily be worked just like the Triple H/HBK feud in terms of status, however the WWE only pushes who Vince wants pushed. If Vince wants to push Triple H/HBK for the next year, he will do it no matter what. No reason RVD/Jericho should not be the main attraction on Raw.
