D'Lo fightin' the good fight

This "double standard" you all speak of is one of the disadvantages of being a majority race or culture. Colin Quinn said during his Conan interview on Tuesday, something to the effect of, "Isn't it ironic that Trent Lott is apologizing for his pro-seperatism comments on BET (Black Entertainment Television)?"

Let's face it, as much as multiculturalism is being touted in the media, the US and Canada are still largely viewed as predominantly-Caucasian countries. Therefore, minority-specific outlets such as BET and even Chinatown are widely accepted, I guess sort of as an equalizer for the "White man" taking up the rest of society.

An undeserving and indirect guilt has developed through time and has been placed upon the white people of today, and that is why this double standard is able to exist so strongly.

Chinatwons, international districts, and most ghettos are throwbacks from the days of discrimination and the white flight.

I thought when the Truth did this in NWA/TNA that it was extremely extremely lame.

I find this even more annoying as it does nothing to aid D-Lo's characer.

Stupid stuff

I don't know if this has been addressed, but what possible payoff could there be to D'lo's railing against the white establishment? Will he get a token title squash against HHHeMan, then slink back into Heat obscurity? Will this build him into a character that anyone can relate to? I doubt any angry young black men will sympathize with him simply because he's just not charismatic or talented enough to pull it off.

I say play on the educated wrestler deal and keep him teamed up with Nowinski. They could probably make up for what the other one lacks (D'lo's wrestling, Nowinski's heat).
