Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted December 18, 2002 http://www.411wrestling.com/news/newsboard...hp?news_id=5136 TNA Interested In Sting, Mick Foley Posted By Widro on 12.17.02 With the successful return to action of Sting on the latest WWA tour, where he is now champion, there is once again talk that NWA:TNA would like Sting to work a few dates. Sting was approached early on for an appearance in TNA, but nothing has been worked out. Jeff Jarrett reportedly talks regularly to Sting. Mick Foley was also approached by Jerry Jarrett for a TNA appearance, and with the recent expiration of his WWE contract, there is once again talk he could sign with TNA for some kind of role. Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter Oh good days maybe here again. Id LOVE to see Cactus and Sting have 1 last match. Thats a money draw right there. Just let Foley Foely figure out the reasons why, and you got money. PS does NWA-NTA have plans to release commercials videos? They really should.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Foley should stay retired like he said he would. He has no one to wrestle in TNA
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted December 18, 2002 I vaguely remember Foley writing somewhere in his book he'd like to a match with Sting one more time...
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 If Foley came in I doubt it would be as a wrestler. I could see him doing something for the old school side against Russo's group. Hell, maybe even doing some booking. Sting would be a good pick up as well since he's one of the few old guys that could still go.
Guest caboose Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Well I saw Sting recently on the WWA tour here in Britain. Apart from the fact that I finally got to see my favourite wrestler ever live, Sting. I really don't hope he comes back out of retirement. He was in good shape, but you could still see the half heartedness in him from the last few months of Nitro. He performed as though it was a farewell run for him. Foley could be used as a spokesman role, but Sting should retire. And it pains me to type it.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Doesn't Foley have a new book coming out soon? If so, he'll just shill on PPV, and probably nothing else.
Guest William E Report post Posted December 18, 2002 What about Mike Awesome, is thier any word on whether he is going to be working in TNA ?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Mike said in an interview he would be meeting with the Jarretts soon.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 I have no desire to see Foley wrestle again. He finished his career on his terms, and won't be remembered as a legend who didn't know when to hang it up. It would be cool to see Foley as an authority figure or maybe even a third announcer, although I'd rather see West and Tenay stay by themselves.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Foley as a color man would make me pay $30.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted December 19, 2002 Seeing Foley pick his nose is alone worth $10.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted December 19, 2002 Maybe bringing in Sting to take it to Jarrett for a one off contest would work. I'd pay to see it, anyway. Anything is better than the WWE at the moment...anything. Illusion - Can strut like Jeff
