Matches/shows you've always wanted to see...

Recommended Posts

Guest papacita

Are there any matches or shows that you've always wanted to see, but for some reason you haven't? To this day, I haven't seen Royal Rumble 92 or Survivor Series 96. Also, while I've seen a few matches from SummerSlam 92, I've never seen the Savage/Warrior match. I've always wanted to see that match...not for the wrestling itself, but I was really into the storyline surrounding the match and always wanted to see how it played out.

And believe it or not, I've never seen Backlash 2000. I was pissed off at the WWF after WM2000 and didn't order the show out of protest (the one show I decide not to order and CHYNA GETS STRIPPED! BULL!).

Anyway, respond before I kill you.

I've never seen Austin vs Hart -the double turn match.

I would have done just about anything to see Flair vs Steamboat live in the late 80's but they never brought the match to Detroit.

::Tries not to mention my seeing of most of those::

Anywho-

RR90

Survivor Series 97 (I will in a few weeks)

A lot of the Clash of the Champions

There's a match on a Dustin Rhodes shoot with DBS v. Dustin that I HAVE TO SEE!

Never saw Jarrett v. HBK, Southern Boys v. ME, Liger v. Pillman from the house show and Flair v. Bret go 60 minutes.

Also never seen Bret v. Benoit either

Canadian Stampede

The Vader Eyeball Match against Stan Hansen

That legendary Texas Death match from Memphis where the guys supposedly got up after 27 falls and started dancing.

Wild Eyed Southern Boys v. Midnight Express

I have it on tape, well Turner Home Video one, its a good Jim Cornette sytle match, I really see nothing special in this match. I think the big surprise here is that Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers were a good tag team in WCW.

Survivor Series 97 is overrated because of the screw job finish in the Main Event, the over all show is lackluster, you get to see Bull Bucannon 1st gimmick.

I want to see the Brett vs Benoit from WCW Mayhem when Brett became champ, I found a download of it but its only the last 10 minutes of it! The nWo run in does kind of ruin the match. As for the Brett vs Benoit on Nitro for the Owen Memorial its the 2 of them just working hammerlocks, headlocks, some matwork then Sharpshooter, plus Tony Schiavonie adding some pointless announcing, but the Brain saved the day.

1) don't bother seeking out the mayhem match, it isn't worth it. by the end of the tournament they were both TIRED, and all they did was work boring submission stuff without any real rhyme or reason till the end.

2) from your description of the owen match, it sounds like you only saw the first 10 minutes of THAT one. the whole match is a lot more than just hammerlocks and matwork. watch it again, it's all in the timing & the excecution of the moves.

ive been a fan since 86 and have seen everything ive wanted to see pretty much live or on tape

the few things i could think of though:

the Clique Action Zone match

Bret- Flair ironman

there was an AWA match that i used to look for all the time but cant remember what it was..if it comes to me ill just edit it in here

i bet the WWE tries to stay away from watching Canadian Stampede again.. they'd probably break down in tears knowing they cant have a crowd be like that again

The Clique tag match is on a tape called Slamfest 95.

It rules.

I've never seen the first WarGames either or the classic Flair v. Windham match from 1987

1st Wargames was in 1987? if it was than it is on the net at the usual places I shrill.

I need to see some Stan Hanson, Vader, Williams & Gordy, Laffan & Furnas matches from Japan.

NJPW jrs from the 90's

FWA events from UK

ROH DVDs will this ever make it to stores? I do not trust the mail order business.

A couple more for me...

ECW Barely Legal, Anarchy Rulz 2000, Heatwave 98 and 99 and the Big Ass Extreme Bash.

I've never seen the Bret Hart/Flair match where Bret wins his first WWF title (which annoys me, because I have every other title win on tape)

I've never seen the RVD/Eddy ladder match (even missed the Confidential where they recapped it)

Great American Bash 89

Living in the UK i would like to see most old WCW PPV's seeing that you can't get them over here, although we are getting to see NWA/WCW Worldwide from 1990 at the moment. Do you thing Vince will ever release old WCW PPV's on DVD?

Oh ok.

Backlash 2000 is a great show except for this one awful part where Chyna is in her bra-n-panties. I mean who would want to see that?? :P
