Shows that you really wanted to go to....

Recommended Posts

Guest kingkamala

There has been only two shows in my area(Portland, Maine) that I wanted to go to but couldn't. The first was a house show in Feb. 95 that had a double main event a Bret Hart-Owen Hart match was the first part of the main event and the second main event was supposed to be Diesel Vs HBK but Diesel got replaced by the Undertaker. JUST for the main events alone that show would've been awesome. Forget the fact that WWF's undercard sucked ass in 95, I would have loved to see Hart-Hart again(I saw them against each other in a dark match at a Superstars taping in July 94) and I really would've liked to see Undertaker-HBK....but alas it was not meant to be.

The second show was the famous 12.8.97 RAW, I originally wanted to see it for the dark match main event, Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock and the LOD Vs The Rock, Faroooq and the New Age Outlaws(It was originally supposed to be Mark Henry and Kama instead of the NAO). But looking at the card and what transpired on the show I wish I was there live. One of the first Rock-Austin matches, Vince McMahon's heel turn(sorta but not really) and the debut of KURRGAN!

Any shows you had the opportunity of attending live but didn't?

I was going to go to Wrestlemania 19 but I lost my job not too long ago so those plans have been cancelled.

I want to go to Wrestlemania this year, but can't because I 1) can't get there and 2) don't have any money. Damn age and lack of money!

The first Raw in Philly where they teased Austin Vs McMahon. I literally begged my parents to let me go, but they wouldn't because it was a school night.

Wrestlemania XV. First off, tickets sold out before the on-sale date, so I couldn't get seats. Then, on the day of the show, new seats opened up and my mom gave me her credit card so that I could call the box office and reserve seats. They had one seat available in the $100 section and I was about to order it, but didn't because I didn't think my mom would like me charging that much on her card (she was thinking the tickets would be like $30-60). Then of course, when she got in later that night, she makes it 10 times worse by saying she wouldn't have cared if I got the $100 seats...

You didn't miss much there. If my memory serves right Undertaker chokeslammed D'Lo within a minute and a half. I think the entrances were longer.

I suppose I'd like to get out to some of the local Indies in Portland more often, but I never hear about the shows until the day it happens.

I was supposed to go to WM X but my mom wouldn't let me borrow her credit card....I STILL haven't forgiven her for that.

That's why I originally wanted to go but once I saw the seeds of McMahon's heel turn being planted, DX's strip poker game and Rock Vs Austin I REALLY wished I could have gone to that RAW.

Oh and if you want to know dates for local indys visit www.ewaprowrestling.com if you like up and comers or visit www.maineeventwrestling.com, they're having a show on the 28th in Saco main evented by Jim Duggan.

Well this kinda is and kinda isnt this thing.

First off i was checking the internet the otehr day and i found an ECW site that said tehy used to go to Danbury Connecticut every other week. I WAS SO PISSED. I used to live 10 minutes away from where they went. I am so bitter.. lol.

Anyways Raw comes to Mohegan Sun all the time, but i never go, i wish i could though.

Seeing as how I'm 15 and can't drive and after the last WWE show he vowed never to drive me to any wrestling event ever again I guess I'm not going to any WWE shows till I can drive in a few years. Ah well I could always go to indy wrestling up the street(literally one of my local indy's main base is up the street from my house)

I've NEVER been to an ECW show...and I live in Philly. My friend's uncle was supposed to take us to House Party 96 when we were 12, but he cancelled at the last minute...and that was it.

I've missed out on Raw / Smackdown tapings for various reasons (can't get anyone to go/no money/wait till the last minute/ect.) but fortunately, none of those that I've missed have been earth-shattering compared to the ones I have been to.

One time when I went to vacation we were going to be in Philly for about 2 days. Just in time to see an ECW show. Would have been awesome. It was the September 20th 1997. I could have seen lots of cool shit that made ECW great at that time. I will never forget my mom for making us go back to Pittsburg because she forgot some luggage causing me to miss the show. That was the closest I ever came to seeing an ECW show. So so close.
