Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Does anyone else think this is beyond retarded. It's not like it says WWF, it's a logo that looks so much like the WWE one you can barely notice. And the Raw 10th Anniversary show, are they going to blur every single thing to that? I picked up the newest Raw magazine and none of those WWF logos were blured out or anything. Fuckin Pandas...
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Fucking Vince for not buying them off, which is all they wanted in the first place. Vince had to do things his way, and he got fucked over because of it. I have no sympathy for him.

The ones I remember were on pics of the Big Eagle WWF title (1998-2001), where the logo AND the words "World Wrestling Federation" were blacked out.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Vince has "The World Wrestling Federation" trademarked. I don't know why he would have that censored.
Guest Ram Report post Posted December 21, 2002 They still show the old WWF logo though, so I'm not sure what's the big deal with the attitude WWF version.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Never mind this post... I shall comment to give it SOME relevance DAMN THE PANDAS!
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted December 21, 2002 I think the World Wildlife's logo is VERY similar to the WWF's scratch logo, nearly identical. Which is where I think they thought the confusion would be, the block logo is totally different...
Guest Ram Report post Posted December 21, 2002 I thought their logo was just a panda with WWF written under it.....?
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted December 21, 2002 I thought their logo was just a panda with WWF written under it.....? it is. Looks nothing like the scratch logo.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted December 21, 2002 I think Vince could still use the "attitude" WWF logo in the U.S. if he wants, but I guess they figured if we're going to air those retro-RAW clips overseas, might as well edit the "attitude" logo instead of showing it in the U.S., then editing it out before they send it overseas. Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2002 What's the big deal anyway? It's not like the logo has any specific references to the WWF. The Raw 10th Anniversary is going to be a little crappy with all this blurring of logos
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted December 21, 2002 I have no idea why they can't use their editing tools to replace the WWF logo with the WWE logo... that kind of confuses me. It doesn't look like it would be that hard. Almost as easy as placing the blur over it anyway
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Ram Posted on Dec 21 2002, 11:08 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They still show the old WWF logo though, so I'm not sure what's the big deal with the attitude WWF version. The WWF's lawsuit claimed that only the 'attitude' version of the logo caused confusion, while the 'block' logo was distinct enough to be kept. So, WWE can: -use the 'classic', or 'block' WWF logo -refer to themselves as 'the World Wrestling Federation', but can't: -refer to themselves as 'the WWF' -use the 'attitude' logo with the letter F intact. Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted December 21, 2002 Even the Attitude turnbuckle logos have been blacked out of the magazine. Sheesh!
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 21, 2002 If they can use the block logo, why change to WWE? Why not use the block logo and only call your self "The World Wrestling Federation"?
