Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted December 21, 2002 Report Posted December 21, 2002 I know I don't usually post here, but these cards actually got me wanting to pimp them before watching them. Guest J*ingus Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 The cards look interesting to say the least, but what the hell is with Hash's new revolving gimmicks?
Guest Jubuki Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Mistake # 1 - paying attention to Patrick McGovern...
Guest ChaosTheory Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 " The cards look interesting to say the least, but what the hell is with Hash's new revolving gimmicks?" These two cards are supposed to be composed of mostly foreign wrestlers. So Hashimoto/Ohtani are doing gimmicks like they are not from Japan- Mr.Ohtani is billed as being from England Hashif Khan from Mongolia and so forth. Is it just me or could they have made these matches much better? The only thing that stands out to me is AJ vs. Low-Ki on the first card-it will be interesting to see how a Japanese crowd responds to their match & The Togo/Hidaka tag-matches should be good.
Guest PlatypusFool Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Hashimoto used to use the gimmicks when he worked with various federations in the USA, so he's rehashing them for these USA themed shows.
Guest PlatypusFool Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 pun semi-intended and everything...
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 According to Wildside owner Bill Behrens, the cards at the beginning of the thread are wrong, as Jason Cross is sadly not booked for the tour.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Who's Patrick Mcgovern? How often do they do this, as in getting a bunch of gaijin wrestlers to come along for one show? It looks....interesting, I guess.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Patrick McGovern is a writer over at www.puroresufan.com that covers Wildside & Ring of Honor. He's a huge mark for Jason Cross's brainbuster.
Guest Evil Ash Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 I'd be lying if I said I don't want to see these shows. They look like they were high on fun, and at least middling on quality.
