WWF: Rock/Austin for Wrestlemania XVII. I must have watched that video package from the Smackdown before Wrestlemania twenty times, I was so psyched for it,

Don't know enough about the others to comment.

ECW: Dreamer/Raven at Wrestlepalooza

WWE: HBK/Austin (just because of Austin's first title run)

WWE is way too tough to choose, but for some reason Rock/Austin for Mania 15 had me PUMPED. I mean, really pysched.

Ahh...the good old days of being a mark.

But if your looking to make a textbook or something called "How to build up a money match", you want it to focus on either Rock/Austin (Mania 17) or Bret/Austin (Survivor Series 96).

Isn't this in the wrong folder?

WWF/E: Austin v. Rock WM X-7

WCW: Flair v. Sting GAB90

The build up for the Cactus-HHH street fight at Royal Rumble 2000 was phenomenal. Seeing Mankind transform into Cactus Jack was one of the best mark out moments ever. Nothing can touch the buildup for that match.

You know, with the possible exception of Jericho/Rock, there hasn't been a good build up for a WWF title match since Austin/Angle at Summerslam.

And the best part about Rock/Jericho was the fact there really wasnt a big angle or anything to set it up. Just set up the "jericho can't win the big one" storyline then let them handle the rest on the mic.

Jericho v. Rock- all three matches definetly.

I wrote a paper in sociliogy about it

Actually, it was "Anyone in the Rumble thinks Rock is winning"

Hogan/Flair over ten years in the making, even if they weren't in the same organazation.

Hogan/Sting is the winner for the best buildup for a feud with the worst payoff.

Brock/Angle will be talked about for years in this category, IF they don't fuck it up.

Bret/Owen was built up PERFECTLY.

How have they possibly fucked it up? You can't possibly mean because Heyman is with him, can you?

Match 1 was: Jericho can't win the big one/Yes I can

Match 2 was: It was a fluke/No it wasn't

Match 3 was: I can beat the hell out of you anytime I want/Go ahead

Match 4: I will win and go to WM/Considering I've beaten you twice in a row- take me seriously mmmmmmk

Okay. Angle/Brock is classic. But then, that means HHH/Jericho is classic as well. It's the same fucking feud. Unless, of course, they totally change something, which would further confuse the feud and eliminate it from this category anyway.

And yes, Heyman destroyed it. There is no way this can end well.

Yeah, how did they fuck that one up? It has barely started.

Austin/Triple-Juice NWO 2001 - Zero Tolerance was just insane.

Angle/Triple-Juice Unforgiven - It was a great build up, but a shitty delivery. When Triple-Juice won, I was just like, what, that doesn't really make any sense.

Undertaker/Kane - The whole thing about Kane was interesting, and when he finally came out, wow, that was an entrance. Yes, the matched sucked, but it got me going.

I have no idea how they managed to fuck up a feud so early. It basically wrote itself. And then in one show, it all goes down the shitter.

If you're call Triple H 'Triple-Juice' might as well do the same for Eddy and Benoit as well.

Anyway- totally agreed with Austin v. HHH. Them mindfucking each other for a month was awesome

And Angle and Edge (Come on, he's bigger) But they can still move.

I think they f'd up the Lesnar/Angle match already too.

It went from what should have been Angle, the biggest potential star, having a face turn and finaly unseating the unbeatable monster in the main event of Mania (Brock should have held the title till then), therefore finally making Angle the top guy.

Instead...Angle played tweener leaning towards face...then turned back for no reason and now ducks Lesnar. So Lesnar can go over at Mania....

and correct me if I'm wrong...but Lesnar is the guy that Vince opted to have drop the strap to the Big Show because it made sense to him at the time.

Just watched Stone Cold/ Dude Love from Over The Edge 1998 on DVD.

Now THAT was a great feud, encompassed by the whole Austin/McMahon angle that worked itself into the feud. And shit, it was started by a simple Mick Foley "goodbye" promo, when he felt his efforts were being overshadowed by Austin...

Along with Booker T, Scott Steiner, Hogan, and more that I can't think of.

I call him Triple-Juice because it goes along with the name. Would like like me to call Eddy-Juice? No, that doesn't sound right.

Plus, Triple-Juice does suck, and because of the Juice, he is slower than a turtle.

Booker T is on the juice?? I've never really noticed him to be that muscular.

They're all on the juice though

What was so good about the buildup for Austin/Rock at X-7? Wasn't the best thing they could come up with some nonsense about Vince assigning Debra to be Rock's second?

Guest caboose

For me the best thing about the Austin-Rock WMXVII buildup was that the payoff actually made sense in relation to the build up.

A lot of the build was on Austin working hard to get back, but Rock was now 'The Man'. Austin really needed to win to prove he was still the man, and Rock needed the win to cement his place at the top. And when it came down to it, Austin knew he couldn't beat Rocky, so he got Vince's help. And the rest is history.

Austin's remarks about the title being "his drug of choice" added another facet to the angle. He would do ANYTHING to get that title, which even meant seeking Vince out as his croney to help him get that title back into his possession. It worked on several levels...

In my mind, this was the last GREAT feud I've seen. Angle/Austin was good, although it was disappointing in how it was built up, considering their chemistry together.

Right now Angle/Brock is what the Two-Man Power Trip/Rock feud would have been if Rock hadn't left to do Scorpion King. Angle is being treated like the star client, not the lackey. That would be Big Show. And before you say "Paul said Big Show's his favorite!" asnwer me this: Why would Heyman choose Angle over the Big Show? Angle's the champ, Big Show is nothing.

Well, we really don't KNOW for a fact that any of them are on juice.

However, look at his back on Raw tonight. You will notice some pimples on his back, thus my guess he is using juice.

I think every wrestling probably juices at least a little.

......Except Gillberg.
