Well from what i understand my match for the Hardcore Title would have won, only the end portion of the match got cut off by the PM system, so once more something happens to screw me over, 13,852 words down the drain.

Here we go...

Excellent Hardcore contest from Ash Craven, though I would like to see yours, Stryke.

Great Submission match with a great finish from Mental.

Well, bad luck for my Carnie teammate, but Annie fell to a terrific, dramatic match from Danny.

A bit short, but good for what was there, Zenon. "And now, WHOOO!, we go to school!" deifnitely made me smile.

Odd ending to the Orochi/Kibagami match, but I'm sure it's to further the storyline. Everything leading up to it was beautiful, though.

Thugg's match was an excellent example of Sports entertainment and a damn fine match to boot.

I won't say anything about the Main Event, other than that Flesher wrote it.

Really nice show, although a little promo-light from my view.

Well, I read through Danny's match, and to say that I was impressed would be a gross understatement. I liked how he played up the importance of the US Title at the beginning (in what I'm sure was a reference to my joke about it being worthless, over on the community board ;)). The in-ring action was unbelievable and captured Annie's Hardcore Queen persona to a T. Also, the Dynamic Kick and Roaring Elbow spots were written really, really well. The Deathbomb spot had good suspense despite the fact that no one's kicked out of it yet, and probably won't for a while.

Let's just say that, in my eyes, you've improved a whole lot over the past few months and it's good to have you back writing for us.

The forgotten show. :(

Despite several grammar errors, I think that Williams/Annie III is the best match I ever wrote.

Diappointed with the outcome of the Main Event, and did I mention I hate climb out rules in a cage match. But I guess the draw ending makes the most sense, and can establish an awesome Main Event fued. This was actually a great PPV, though I got the feeling it was mostly build for Clusterfuck.

I'll try to review a match or two later tonight, when I get back from work.

Yeah, let me just reiterate that the original plan was not to have a draw ending in the cage match. Apparently, fate dealt Mags a really bad hand, and because of that he was unable to write for the pay-per-view. Considering his track record for pay-per-views, I didn't feel right taking the title off him because of circumstances beyond his control, so I rebooked the finish on the fly.

Well, it's official... Sigil is dead. I have killed him.

Over the last month or so, this latest failed experiment has reaffirmed by belief that I simply can't play heels believably, or for that matter, very well.

So Sigil goes the way of the dodo, and as the rest of the league goes to break, so I must return to break.

Rankings and title histories will be released within the next couple days. Don't rush me - I'll be busy with Christmas and all - but they'll definitely be early (as opposed to the 1st) due to the break.

Eh, what am I saying. This doesn't make any difference. There are more important things brewing right now.

Happy holidays, everyone.

Sigil vs. Judge

For starters I though the submission stipulation wasn't suited very well for these characters, and at times it shows. Sigil tries to take the advantage with some brawling, but Judge stops it with an arm drag. And we start over again, which is something I really hate. Next Judge Mental releases a credible submission hold(Fujiwara Armbar), for a Dragon Sleeper. The commentary tries to make some sense, but a choke out isn't a submission. It's uh......choke out.

Sigil powers out, and we start over again. Doh! So far three spots have went absolutely nowhere. Sigil takes advantage with more brawling, taking Judge out of the ring. Odd sequence as Sigil lets Judge grab a hammerlock out of nowhere, and transition it to reverse DDT.

Back in the ring, Mental grabs a Sleeperhold which doesn't make people submit, it puts them to sleep, it also isn't a cokehold unless your cheating of course. Sigil makes the ropes, and we have the tried but true spot of the Northen Lights Suplex being reversed to a DDT. Sigil draws blood hardway, damn this one stiff fed.

Next, Sigil tries a Lariat, but after a criss cross(I think), Mental gets a knee lift. And Sigil becomes the first person in history to not bump for the move, so Mental hits the Diamond Cutter. Mental now sells the effects of the punches and DDT, not bad. Mental than grabs the Dragon Sleeper, but Sigil powers out of it. Mental than channels the spirit of Kobashi, and busts out some neck chops. But Sigil channels the spirit of Lou Thez, and hits the Lou Thez Press!

Sigil than gets the Shroud, which I have no clue what it is..........mabye the mounted straight jacket hold. But Judge power out. Wait not only does he power out, HE HULKS UP! HE POINTS THE FINGER! HE GETS THE BOOT! THAN THE LEG DR.....NO THE TRIANGLE CHOKE! Sigil doesn't submit, but the ref stops the match. If that was the case why didn't he just powerbomb the shit out of him, and force the ref to stop the match like that.

rating: *3/4

About as good as two no selling hosses working a submission match can get. They brawl and take turns powering out of sleeper holds, the crowd would be snoozing threw this. Than Judge is like fuck this, and the match just ends. Sorry dude..................uh......M7 PRIDE! (nervously smiles only to cowardly run away without looking back)

Thanks alot Tom, I always appreciate feedback. Yes, it was indeed a reference to the worthless remark, and also gave the match alot of meaning. Oh, and Renegade kicked out of the Deathbomb and the Dangerous Backdrdop. To bad he didn't stick around, cause he would have been megaover.

Wow. I actually got a * out of that match. I know it sucked. I've been deathly sick all week (Thanks to my roommate. Then again, he had it over his finals :(), and frankly I'm in the process of fixing my sleeping habits. Did the match suck? Yes. I really wanted to loss this, but cie la vie. Hopefully this break will do me good. Then again, the last one didn't do me much good either :-\...

Edit: It isn't a stip good for my character? I'm a submissions based wrestler, Danno. I know the chokeout was odd, but I wanted to avoid any sort of beatdown in the end, which normally happened after Sigil's matches. But thanks for honestly saying "Hey, that thing sucked!". I dislike false praise.

Ah, Pete, I do think that Sigil's heelosity was a great improvement over "Living Darkness" Peter MacDougal. You had the sick brutality down from the start, and that promising beginning in the hardcore title match never really faded out.

You do write face better, though. Here's hoping for a return, eh?

Oh my bad, not many submission based 250 pounders out there. Albright maybe, but most of his stuff is Suplex based. Didn't read either guys stats before the match, sorry.

No worries. Unfortunately, I didn't know much about wrestling beforehand, so I've been learning a lot along the way (Especially styles, movesets, and character creation). And slowly but surely I've been making the Judge diet, so I expect him to be down around 240-235 by the end. Gotta exercise and slim down, right :D?

I'm surprised you even remember "Living Darkness," Edwin...

...but in all seriousness, thanks for the comments. Maybe another time I'll get it down. And as far as a face return? Maybe. I've got a couple weeks to think about it.

Oh, for anyone that cares, in storyline, Sigil and LDP are NOT the same person. I had considered Sigil being Pete under a mask, but ultimately decided against it. So for anyone that needs to know that, there you go.

Ugh, just got back from a Christmas Trip to Santa Barbera... and I must say, I don't think I'll be reading this PPV, simply because I need sleep. But I promised Tom I'd read his match, and if Danno says that Danny/Annie beats Danny/Sydney... well Jesus. *reads* I'll give ya both feedback by tonight, hopefully, unless I fall asleep at the comp. ;)

Better late than never comments:

Starting with the HC Title match…very nice! I’ve always liked Ash’s hardcore style, except when he goes overboard. I don’t think he did that this time…and I was impressed with the quality as usual. I also like how the first post ends climactically, leading you into the second post. Either that was great planning, or just a freaky coincidence. Either way, that was a damn good match…

Rating: 4 / 5

Sigil vs. Mental was also a decent contest, although, I would have liked to see a more exciting ending. I mean, I was getting amped up when Mental broke Sigil’s hold, but then, just like that, it was over. I would have liked to see a Rocky like sting of moves there to get the crowd hyped, and then…wait…who was the face there? Meh…still, I would have liked to see the match go on for just a little while longer.

Rating:: 3.5 / 5

My marking for Danny continues…Whew! What a match! That was tight yo! Even though at the end, Annie had no shot at a comeback, the way you wrote it made it seem like somehow, she would make that comeback…and the missed dropkick was a nice touch as the last vestibule of hope for Annie. In my mind, it’s time for Danny to move on up a bit...ICTV? Yeah.

Rating: 4.5 / 5

I’ll get to the rest later…

PS – Can Danny do one of his patented reviews of my match. I know it blew cause it had like NO wrestling in it…but I’d really like to know how much it sucked and where the rust is so I can work on it. Thanks.

"NOTE to Danny: Go to Grammar School, now, please. "

I think I did good up until the end, where the grammar just landslides down hill. This can best be contributed to redoing the ending so many times, that I accidently left a few sentences that should have been deleted, and rushing to do the final ending that I ended up turning in. Looking back, I wish kept the one where I finished Annie off with the Ganso Bomb. The other alternate endings sucked though.

1.) What was the "sucky" alternative ending?

2.) I was 110% kidding with the grammar thing, Danno... It really doesn't bug me too much. If you just give each of your matches a once-over in the editing process, the errors could be cut in half, though evidentially you didn't have much time, this time around. Aside from that, the only really noticeable error that you constantly make is saying "I'am"... it's "I'm," dammit. The point of an apostrophe is to SHORTEN the words, not connect them. But yeah, other than that, I was just joking around.

Woo. In typical TNT fashion, I promised myself that I'd read the PPV two days ago... and now, two days later, at 3am... I've read... the main event.

Fuck.

Well, here's a quick feedback review on it, for Taamo's sake.

Great match, overall. Witty commentary and an overall clever style, while still maintaining the seriousness that this type of match needs. Little subtleties like the "Yeeouch's" and spacing for the final statement [regarding the draw] really made the match fun to read. Great pacing... not as good as your Ground Zero match's pacing, but meh. Cage-Climb attempts got a bit repetitive, but they were necessary, as the point of the match is to escape the cage. The story that was told was good-great, but got a bit mish-mashed at times... Tom goes from working Magnifico's legs to his ribs to his balls... switched around a lot, though it read well enough so that I didn't really notice while reading, heh. Other than that, the ending seemed sort of tacked-on, but way less tacked-on than it usually would if a lesser writer had been doing the tacking-onning... and the finish was necessary, as winning the title via no-show would have caused me to kick Flesher in the sternum many, many consecutive times. Hmmmm, and that's about it, really... I salute you for building up the psych so that the cage-dive from ELM seemed realistic [i wasn't wondering "Why the FUCK did he jump? What a dumbshit!" because ELM's reasoning was well-explained, and other than that... good match. Not your best, but eh, your best is Godly, so that would make this just semi-Godly.

Aaaand, sleepy-time now... I'll try to read Thugg/Bayawolf and Danny/Annie tomorrow, though... if I can open my eyes properly, uuuuugh...

Thugg vs. Bayawolf Analysis

Bayawolf attacks before the bell but Thugg gets the advantage, which makes sense because he's the bigger and stronger wrestler. Thugg tries to take it back into the ring, but Bayawolf comes back with a shoulder block and a Pescado. Good transition that gets Bayawolf over as the faster and more determined man. But's it's not enough to turn the tide, and Thugg regains control. Very smart to have Thugg roll into the ring, the second time. Wolf tries to come back again, but is stopped with a Powerslam. I like how Wolf keeps trying to mount an offense, but can’t seem to find anything that works.

Bayawolf finally gets some where by going after the knee, but Thugg breaks up a submission attempt. Thugg goes for a the Stinger Splash, but Bayawolf gets out of the way only to take a Lariat. King gets involved allowing Bayawolf to get a low blow. This finally allows Bayawolf to take the advantage. Thugg counters the Spear with a Powerbomb, a bit akward but not too bad of a strong guy counter. More predictable guest referee nonsense follows. The roll up, big boot sequence flowed very well. THAN THE LEG DROP! That's the combo that beat Randy Savage! But King places Bayawolf's hand on the rope.

Great tease with Thugg trying to Chokeslam King. Bayawolf takes over with the Spear! Hot near fall. He goes for the Cruel Fate, but it's countered into a Bear Hug Slam! Thugg goes for the Last Stand, but Bayawolf reverses with a Hurricanrana! The double knock out seems unnecessary here, and kills the huge momentum this match was gaining. And I don't think anybody bought the near fall either, this comes off as the infamous Kurt Angle forced suspense spot. It just isn't needed. This could come off that Thugg is out of shape and needed a breather, but it still doesn't make it work.

The brawling and Tornado DDT spot was good., there is no reason it shouldn’t have followed the Hurricanrana. Bayawolf grabs a chair, and more heel ref nonsense follows. ELM saves the day even though Thugg wasn’t really a face in peril, and takes out Stubby and King. With all this chaos going on, Bayawolf gets a hot near fall with the Cruel Fate. ELM busts out every high spot he has on Bayawolf and King, the most entertaining spots in the match are by a guy who isn’t in the match. Hot near fall follows in a clever but goofy spot, where ELM uses King’s hand to count. Thugg hits the Last Stand, and a blind King makes the count. King blinded so Thugg could get the win is very creative, however it’s obvious King could see someone being pinned, yet he couldn’t see enough to distinguish a seven foot black man from a little white guy. But oh well, an interesting way to get yourself out of the corner you were painted in.

rating: **½

The match started off very well, but just when things started to heat up......The match turns into a circus. While it worked from a storyline perspective, it was still goofy and made Bayawolf look insignificant. The climax of the match saw it’s focus shift from Thugg/Bayawolf to Thugg/ELM vs. Stubby/King, losing Bayawolf’s importance in the shuffle. Overall it wasn’t bad for cluster fuck booking involving five people, and the nearfalls at the end were also well done.

This is why Danno is the man! You called the match to a T...exactly what I thought about it. I thought it started well, but I got sleepy while writing, and that always leads to dullness, and in the end, it leaves me at a loss as to what has actually happened previously in the match. And then I forget who has the heat and all that jazz...and it just turns into a circus. Also, I did paint myself into a corner, with Muzz writing to win and my Plan B non-existant, this was a MUST win. IC, it was just hard to make Thugg believably win with all the odds against him, considering that King would never count Bayawolf down. I didn't want to do the overused ELM or Thugg uses King's hand to count, but i wanted to use that as a near fall. I guess it didn't come off as believable as I thought it would. And the blinding thing...yeah...you see what I tried to do, but I suppose that I didn't even think about the fact that Thugg is a HUGE black guy and Bayawolf is a small, much lighter-skinned man. Go figure.

Thanks for the feedback man...sometimes it's just really good to get that kind of feedback on a match.

Well, after actually PRINTING out the match and reading it over a bowl of Rice Krispies... I'm finally finished with Annie vs Danno. Heh.

All I really have to say about this match is... wow. I mean, I read Danny's return match against Xero, and saw his change in style... but comparing THIS to his old stuf... WOWZA. He's really gone overboard in completely altering his writing style. Regarding the actual match... I'd say it's about on par with the Main Event [maybe better, even, I mean, it was GREAT,] and comparing it to Danny's other matches... it's a tad better than Sydney/Danny [which WAS his best match, in my opinion.] Match starts off with some basic stuff, and really evolves into a story revolving around the nose/rib thing, and how Danny just doesn't give a shit that Annie is a chick, he's going to kick her ass anyway. Love the build-up, and how the match just keeps building [(Y) @ no starting over spots or anything like that] until the final Deathbomb. Near-falls were believable, and I really liked the Diving-Elbow/Chair-Shot spot. The constant references to their previous encounters, as well as Danny/Renegade and even Danny/Sydney at times [Annie NOT getting the bulldog after the failed backdrop driver, the german suplex reversal, Annie holding down the female sex with his vicous elbows, ect.] was genius and well-done. Overall, just a really good match, with not too many flaws, aside from the aggrivating grammar, and the kendo stick spots seeming... I dunno, just sort of awkward, somehow... Either way, MOTN, I'd say. That or 2nd place to the Main Event.

Both, obviously. ;)

They were both really well-written matches... so in all actuallity, I think that that MAY have very well been the deciding factor. It blows, it does... but, um, yeah... this is obviously somehow Stubby's fault.
