Guest notJames Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I never really thought of D'Lo as being 'special', just good in the vein of a Jeff Jarrett or Ken Shamrock. Where they were able to have effective feuds in the midcard and usually did, I would never tune in just to see them and had no interest in their uppercard advancement. And now that they're all in reduced roles or on TNA, I don't really miss them anyway. Hear hear.
Guest AfricanAmerican Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I dunno bout the rest of ya'll but I'm "Down with the Brown" I dunno why but i thought his skit with Stacy was pretty funny... not because of what he portrayed (ghetto black man bein held down by THE MAN) but instead how he portrayed it. Living in what most would call the ghetto, it's nice to see us portrayed. I saw many people in the Raw thread saying Cena could act more black than D'Lo... Sure D'Lo aint freestylin or nothin but his acting in the skit on Monday seemed pretty good to me, probably because thats how most of the people round here act/talk... Only problem with D'Lo is that his pants weren't baggy enough (dont nobody wear that tight).. and he needs to walk down to the ring in a North Face coat or somethin... Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted December 26, 2002 D-Lo...he is nothing now. But once...o, for those far gone days, the days of wonder and beauty...once, D-Lo was indeed one half of the Greatest Tag Team ever Seen. Yes, for Lo-Down did indeed rule. D-Lo is nothing without Chaz, NOTHING I TELL YOU! They formed in mutual recognition of their dual greatness and were instantly gods, pulling good matches out of everyone from the Acolytes to an insane schizophrenic Viscera, who kept tagging himself in as King Mabel, ranting about Royal Plans left right and centre. And still Lo-Down would triumph. Then, they were joined by another. The greatest manager and most EVIL heel known to all. TIGER ALI SINGH. Magically, Lo-Down became denizens of some non-specific area of the Asian subcontinent and together with Tiger they battled against evil foreign hatred and ignorance of the aforementioned unspecific area. D-Lo and Chaz wore Turbans of UnYielding Courage. Unbelievably, they became even more supreme wrestlers, pissing on Chris Benoit from a great height. And then, on that fateful night...Tiger Ali Singh and Chaz disappeared. No one knows how or why, but some suspect the Man was involved. Even more disturbingly, some believe that the Iron Sheik murdered Tiger and Chaz for using his entrance music. D-Lo only escaped because he was sharing a room with Ron Simmons, who was masturbating furiously when the Sheik arrived to take vengeance on D-Lo. Even the Sheik ran screaming from Simmons' grotesque grin of self-induced ecstacy. And D-Lo was left alone. 'Tis a sad tale indeed.
Guest NYCTA Bus No. PA1767 Report post Posted December 27, 2002 D'Lo has the type of heel charisma that Eddie Guerrero allegedly has but I have yet to see. I remember a couple of years ago, while he was working heat, he had a match with Al Snow, he had the crowd eating out of his hands. He would do a move, look at the crowd menacingly and they would go crazy. Or he would just yell something and the crowd would boo him. If nothing else, D'Lo needs to be a heel coach, teaching some of the wrestlers how to get over as heels the old fashioned way, not the "Kurt Angle Cheap Heat" way, or the "Brock Lesnar Monster Push Until I Get Over" way. Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted December 27, 2002 D'Lo is just plain annoying that's why people hate him. He can turn it into good heel heat or negative heat. And if he acts as thug as the people in your area, that tells you about the people in your area
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted December 27, 2002 What's funny about all this is that D'Lo is an accountant. I think John Cena is more "homeboy" than he is.
Guest Mole Report post Posted December 27, 2002 What's funny about all this is that D'Lo is an accountant. I think John Cena is more "homeboy" than he is. No way Cena is better being black than D'Lo. Hell, Cena isn't even black. If anything, Cena is WANSTA.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I know you used that bit of hyperbole for effect, but please don't lump me in with the unwashed masses who want to diddle Test's sloppy seconds.
