Cheex Incarnate 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I was checkin' out the recent Invasion topics on this forumn, and I felt that it would be a superb way to introduce myself to the board. This is how I would have booked the failed WCW invasion angle of the Summer of 2001 First off, I would have let the fued between Vince and Shane heat up over the months of June and July. No actual invading would be happening, but Shane-o-mac would leave subtle hints. These are the champs as I would have made by August 2001l Current WWF Champions: Steve Austin (WWF Champion) Kane (WWF Intercontinental, beat Albert) The Hardy Boyz (WWF Tag Team, beat Dudley Boyz) Jerry Lynn (WWF Lightheavyweight, i would not have fired him) Rhyno (WWF Hardcore) Raven (WWF European, beat Matt Hardy) Current WCW Champions: Booker T (World and US Champion) Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire (WCW Tag Team) "Sugar" Shane Helms (WCW Cruiserweight) Contracted WCW Wrestlers: Booker T Dallas Page Buff Bagwell Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire Mike Awesome Lance Storm Chris Kanyon Shawn Stasiak Hugh Morrus Shane Helms Billy Kidman Mike Sanders Jamie Knoble Evan Karagious Stacy Kiebler Johnny the Bull The Wall Mark Jindrak Elix Skipper Kaz Hayashi Jimmy Yang Shannon Moore Lash LeRoux Reno Jason Jett Kid Romeo Ric Flair (if you check, he's the only one that was not contracted from the start in my list) Invasion begins: Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon have been waging a war since WrestleMania, and after numerous confrontations and hints, Shane finally starts the WCW Invasion. Buff Bagwell and Kanyon run out during a RAW and attack Kane and Big Show. Booker T runs out and attacks The Rock (who at this time has returned from Hollywood, and fueding with Kurt Angle). Angle doesn't know what to do so he helps the Rock. In the nights main event, Steve Austin vs. Chris Jericho is abruptly ended when Dallas Page runs out and attacks both. During the brawl, the WWF locker rooom empties out and attacks DDP. The WCW crew (comprised of the top names contracted above) join the fray. Soon the WCW outman the WWF and take control of the ring. Shane comes out and instructs his boys to completely destroy the arena. They commence by tearing down the ring, throwing Jericho through the announce table and collectively tear down the Titan Tron. At the following SmackDown, Vince heightens security around the arena. Despite that fact, in the opening match of Jerry Lynn defending against Scotty Too Hotty and Crash Holly is interupted by Shane Helms, Billy Kidman, Kaz Hayashi, and Jimmy Yang. Shane appears on the Titan Tron and informs the fans that the men in the ring make up a real cruiserweight division. The 4 WCW wrestlers steal the LHW belt from ringside and ransack it the middle of the ring. Throughout the rest of the SmackDown broadcast, there is a sense of paranoia as to when the next attack will happen. Vince calls a locker room meeting and is shocked when he sees how low morale has taken control of his men. He decides he needs a speaker to get them riled up, and Paul Heyman is just the man to do it. At the next RAW, Paul Heyman announces that he is the "General in command of the WWF Army" he says that no one hates WCW more than he does. He inlists Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer as his admirals, and the other wrestlers who are closest to him (i.e. The ECW crew). Heyman's faction is RVD, Dreamer, Tazz, Dudley Boyz, Justin Credible, Rhyno, and Tajiri. He approaches Raven to join, but he declines, saying that the WWF has done nothing for him, and declares himself a free agent to both WCW and WWF. In the following weeks, it seems as business is usual, with WWF guys continuing their fueds with eachother, and every once in awhile, a WCW attack is thwarted by the "ECW security". In the main event of a RAW, Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, The Rock, and Kurt Angle are billed to face eachother, and it is a mega-main event indeed. After about 15 minutes of action, Booker T runs down the aisle and takes out The Rock. DDP comes from the crowd and Diamond Cuts Stone Cold. Y2J and Angle try to fight them off, but are attacked by Palumbo and O'Haire. The show goes off the air with the WCW men raising their hands at each corner in triumph. At the next SmackDown, Vince is furious at Heyman. He claims that they failed that night. Paul E. says that it must have been Raven, he is the only one who has the information and connections to pull off that stunt. Vince goes out to the ring and brings the ECW guys with him to surround the ring. He calls out Raven and says that he wants an explanation. Raven appears on the Tron and says that Paul was right, Raven has joined WCW. But what Heyman failed to mention was that there were a few more defections. Suddenly, the camera pans over to reveal Paul Heyman and Shane McMahon shaking hands and laughing. Vince is horrified. He sees that the entire WCW roster is filing in. The have completely covered the area between the backstage and the arena floor. On the tron, it become apparent that the path to get out through the SmackDown curtain is blocked with a WCW 1 truck. Vince hears someone call from behind, he turns around and someone throws a chair at him. On instinct, Vince catches it and is immediately hit with a spin kick to the face, the Van Daminator. Vince is bloodied, and the defected ECW crew roll him to the outside. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are ambushed from behind and replaced with Paul Heyman and Shane McMahon. WCW has taken over the show. for the rest of the night, it is a WCW program. The matches are as followed; Jimmy Yang/Kaz Hayashi lose to Evan Karagious and Jamie Noble The Wall def. Hugh Morrus Mike Awesome def. Spike Dudley, who had been captured and sacrificed to Awesome Palumbo/O'Haire def. Lance Storm and Justin Credible Raven def. Tommy Dreamer in a No DQ match Rob Van Dam draws Jerry Lynn Booker T NC Dallas Page Throughout the night, vignettes are shown of the WWF roster trying to get to the ring. As the Booker/DDP match is coming to and end, Stone Cold gets in his truck, and Undertaker gets on his cycle and drive through the mass of WCW wrestlers, sending them scattering. The WWF roster follows them, and the show ends in a huge arena-wide brawl. Thats it so far, ill continue if you guys like it. cheers
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Hmmmmm... not that bad... it's definitely better than how the WWF did it.

Guest Mole Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Very very good idea. That something Vince should of thought of, and it actually made WCW credible. How long did it take for you to think of it?? However, there is already a thread for this. Plus, there is a fantasy booking forum, so put it in there next time.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Yeah, it's a great idea but for the numerous already mentioned reasons it just didn't work out, no need to beat a dead horse. Oh the only addition I'd make is once Paul Heyman and Shane turn on Vince Eric Bishoff walks out onto the stage smiling...
