Guest Downhome Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Anyone got a non-spoiler match listing? It can't be any worse than RAW, as Smackdown usually doesn't dissapoint me, so let's get to it... ...the Angle/TBS/Lesner/Heyman feud is my favorite fued in years, woohoo! Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 im watching the first hour downhome, then im dancing so ill not read spoilers and comment here
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Non-spoiler match listings: John Cena vs. Chuck Palumbo Crash Holly vs. Bill DeMott Chavo & Eddy Guerrero vs. Edge & Billy Kidman for the WWE tag titles Rikishi vs. B2 Chris Benoit vs. Big Show Comments: It's kinda funny how everyone was saying Chuck needed to get out of the gay angle......and yet, without it, he's nothing. Billy was right on that one Smackdown...... "I've been carrying you ever since you got here!"--to Chuck Crash.....DeMott.........SNORE EDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHAVO!!! :wub:Can it get any better? YES!! EDGE!!!!!! AND KIDMAN!!!! In all seriousness though, this match should be awesome. And not just because of the hotties involved....Eddie, Edge, Chavo, and Kidman are very good excellent wrestlers, and just like Chris's vs BookDust, I have a feeling this tag match will pretty much save the show. Rikishi vs B2..........SNORE Benoit vs Show..........Hmmmm, I'm thinking somewhere between a SNORE and a DECENT match. It all depends on how much offense they let the Rabid Wolverine get in.
Guest Downhome Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Non-spoiler match listings: John Cena vs. Chuck Palumbo Crash Holly vs. Bill DeMott Chavo & Eddy Guerrero vs. Edge & Billy Kidman for the WWE tag titles Rikishi vs. B2 Chris Benoit vs. Big Show I can only assume you already spoiled something, as I thought it was Kurt Angle Vs. TBS. :D I don't care though, I'm GLAD they have inserted Benoit into my FAVORITE ANGLE IN YEARS. This card seems a lot better than RAW did, even on paper, so I'm satisfied.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Yeah, thats why I didn't give the match preview as it would kind of spoil something.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Looks decent. Seeing Los Guerreros is always a treat, and I mostly enjoy Cena and Chuck, so that should be decent. At least they are sticking DeMott with Crash, so at least I know that I can just go get something to eat during that match. I have been wanting to see more of Bull Buchanan, actually, so I am glad he's on my tv. I believe Funaki does an interview which somehow involves Al Wilson. I know I'm pumped for that!
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 SmackDown! preview for Dec. 26, 2002 A GIANT WWE Championship Match is on tap for the day-after-Christmas edition of SmackDown!, airing tonight at 8 p.m./7 CT on UPN! Last week, after Kurt Angle introduced Paul Heyman as his new agent, Heyman abruptly canceled the Angle-Brock Lesnar clash that Angle had promised Brock for tonight's show. Instead, Heyman announced that Angle would be defending the title against his other client, and the former champion, the Big Show! Will Angle be able to survive this GIANT challenge? The WWE Tag Team Championship will also be on the line, as Los Guerreros defend against Billy Kidman & Edge! Crash takes on the man who he teamed up with last week, Bill DeMott, in one-on-one action. DeMott assaulted his tag team partner last week, so Crash will no doubt be out for revenge tonight. In other singles competition, B-2 -- accompanied by his sidekick, John Cena -- will step into the ring with Rikishi! Plus, when SmackDown! kicks off tonight, we'll be just one week away from the wedding of Dawn Marie and Al Wilson. What will these two lovebirds be up to tonight? What will Al's daughter, Torrie Wilson, have to say about the whole ordeal? Torrie is at SmackDown! tonight, and the SmackDown! No. 1 announcer, Funaki, plans an exclusive interview with her. Don't miss all the action, tonight on UPN. Credit: WWE.com
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I believe Funaki does an interview which somehow involves Al Wilson. I know I'm pumped for that! Oh, don't you KNOW you're excited to hear more of Torrie's thoughts on this horrendous angle? It should be SOOOOOOOO exciting! I'll try to contain myself until I see Torrie get more air time.... *runs and hides from the blonde bimbo* I can only assume you already spoiled something, as I thought it was Kurt Angle Vs. TBS. Sowwy! I just copied the listing from LordsofPain.net.....it's their fault!
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Sowwy! I just copied the listing from LordsofPain.net.....it's their fault! No worries, it's cool. I'm in the mood to see Benoit fight tonight, and I'm even in a mood to see him fight TBS. I just love the angle, so I'm pumped for it!
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Hope you put out a good TE recap, Yuna. I look forward to reading it.
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Oh that's RIGHT!! TE's on tonight! *gets a tape ready* Hey, I'm a blonde, folks. I'm sure I can use that as an excuse *reads Kotz's profile* Spoony! Why haven't you been posting recently?!?!?
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I am on strike from watching TE this season after the last one... ...I just wanted to share that.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Well, I'll be out so no live thoughts from me (Awwwww...). However my VCR is set so assuming there's no cable outage like there was Monday night I'll throw down some thoughts later tonight. I second the thoughts about the TE recap it'll be all I've got to go on until I can catch a replay.
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 < Obligatory Edge Hatred > I wonder if Los Guererros and Kidman will pull off an awesome match despite King Nothing being there to screw things up. Spear prediction: 3 or more < /Obligatory Edge Hatred >.
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Oooooh...pressure on me! Hey, that's a good thing. Maybe I'll actually FINISH a project that I start.....unlike some things. :coughstoriescough:
ChrisMWaters Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I just hope that the last Smackdown of the year will be pretty cool. It should be interesting to see what happens.
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 < Obligatory Edge Hatred > I wonder if Los Guererros and Kidman will pull off an awesome match despite King Nothing being there to screw things up. Spear prediction: 3 or more < /Obligatory Edge Hatred >. I truly, with all of my heart, wish that Christian was getting Edge's push instead, I really do.

But first, they have to GIVE CHRISTIAN BACK HIS F'N PYRO!
Guest BoboBrazil Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Tough Enough isn't on tonight.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Tough Enough shouldn't have gone beyond 1 season, IMO. Maven, Nowinski, and Nidia are enough. We didn't need Jackie and Linda...and I don't see anyone that I really want from TE3 in WWE. So...NO MORE TE!
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I agree, I feel they did as good as they are going to do with TEOne. All three of the guys have show potential to grow into superstars, and I feel they should end right there. I think it's time to *gasp* start looking at those who have truly dedicated their lives to the sport now, strugling in the indys.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Oh, don't you KNOW you're excited to hear more of Torrie's thoughts on this horrendous angle? I actually enjoy this angle. I just love the pure absurdity of it all. It has no point, the acting is hideous, the payoff will be horrible, but somehow I love it. I hope they keep it going for a few more weeks.

Yeah, and "CHRIST-IAAAAAAAAN...CHRIST-IAAAAAAAN...at last...you're on your oooooown" kinda loses its meaning when he's been put in tag teams again.

Guest Angle-plex Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 John Cena vs. Chuck Palumbo- Craptacular Crash Holly vs. Bill DeMott- Craptacular II Chavo & Eddy Guerrero vs. Edge & Billy Kidman for the WWE tag titles - Yay Rikishi vs. B2- Craptacular III Chris Benoit vs. Big Show- *Prays for Benoit to win*
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Ooooooooh....no TE3? *sniffle sniffle* Well, at least the Latinoz will save the "craptacular" show
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Am I the only one who can actually enjoy a hoss match, I mean really.
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 *thinks* Depends on the hoss, really. I like watching 'Taker and Nash's matches....
Guest Downhome Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I like Bill DeMont also, I like his style. I don't like that he destroyed the cruisers last week, but I DO like his style. He can't helped how he's booked, so I do not hold that against him. I like Albert here lately, I like Test a lot right now, etc... I do not like Kane or Taker right now though, I really really don't like them. I also love TBS currently, because I feel he's playing his role PERFECTLY in his current angle.
