Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 30, 2002 Yeah, I saw New Orleans play today and they didn't deserve a spot in the playoffs at all. I've been really impressed by both New York teams--particularly Pennington and Jeremy Shockey. I'm awfully glad that Tampa's not going to have to play the Giants next week, on account of their bye. Phew.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted December 30, 2002 And, the Bucs don't have a Superbowl ring either. Not after this year... Great defense and sucky offense don't win Super Bowl's. Neither does great offense and sucky defense. *points to Saints* Tampa Bay ain't winning shit, but a plane ticket back home.

Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 30, 2002 I think the Baltimore Ravens might have something to say about that first one, Flyboy. And anyway, Tampa's offense is efficient and mistake-free when Brad Johnson plays. IF he can play in the playoffs, they've got a chance.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted December 30, 2002 That's IF they beat Chicago tonight and give Brad a chance to heal.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted December 30, 2002 May the Jets get stomped in the Wild Card. If the Superbowl is Giants-Jets, I will puke in disgust.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted December 30, 2002 Don't be so sure about that bye. I was sure the Packers would have home field after Philadelphia lost, and look what happened. Chicago might want to get in on the spoiling game also. The weak division the Packers are in is really a tainted gift if you think about it. It lets them win a lot of easy games, but it also allows them to clinch the division title and then have uninspired play for the last five or six weeks of the season. The last life that the Packers have shown me was in the San Francisco game. The teams that were in tight divisional situations or playoff seedings played championship-caliber ball, sez I. Just look at the effort Cleveland put up against an Atlanta team which had already clinched a spot. Here's hoping that Tampa loses tonight so the Pack can at least have a first-round bye to learn how to play the game again. We'd better step it up now that every game seperates us from going home with nothing. It's absolutely insane that neither the Dolphins or Patriots made the playoffs. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted December 30, 2002 Which one of their last three losses gives you that idea? Their wins over Tampa twice, Green Bay, Niners does. During the off-season our defense will get better. So will Brooks and our offense will be insane. Just wait.

If anybody needs us, Me & Flyboy will be at the bar drinking away our sorrows. At least it wasn't Ricky's fault. EDIT: Fuck the Packers, too.
