Child's Play was good I think, but 2 & 3 were just pieces of crap. Hellraiser series abandoned the CLive Barker vision after part 2. Scream was intended to be a satire of the horror genre and it was a success, but the fact that there were sequels even made was an insult and made the whole concept of the original Scream a satire in itself. ....and Finally, The Night Eyes series lost the steamy nudity "dirty little secret" appeal after the first couple. The amount of Nudity was cut in half azif anyone was watching for the dull plot.

First one is in my top twenty, second one top fifty. Third one is one of the worst movies in a while. The fourth one redeemed the series a little though. Okay, not really, but it was okay-ish, and therefore better than the third one.

Certainly Brosnan's finest performance in the role. My favorite Bond is Dalton, though. He reminded me more of the Bond found in Fleming's work than anyone else. Die Another Day almost seemed like a parody of the franchise, despite it's attempts at being dark in the beginning. It wasn't a bad popcorn action movie, but I don't feel it was a great Bond movie. But agreed. Overall, the Bond franchise has suffered greatly, especially over the last several films. They've moved away from the darker nature the character should have.

Who cared about a guy going to 1985 in 1991? It was already the past for god's sake. The second movie was also quite dreary and dark. That said I do wish I had that sports almanac.

The three films run back to back and likely only encompass a few weeks of time. Dismissing them because one has to remember that bit of chronological information doesn't seem like a valid reason to dismiss a story that took time to tell. But, to each their own.

Part 1 was a charming action comedy, part 3 is a fun western, and part 2 I love because of Thomas Wilson's portrayal as Old and alternate Biff.

'Candyman' was one of the best horror films of the 90's but the sequel was poor and completely throwaway in comparison. To my knowledge the series ended there but it wouldn't shock me if there has been further DTV sequels.

Schreck is Bruce Wayne corrupted, Catwoman is the spirit of vengeance inside Batman corrupted, and the Penguin was the freak inside him. Instead of letting the villains steal the film, their used to help us understand Wayne. Franchises that went (noticably) downhill: Jaws Exorcist Rocky Lethal Weapon 007 (To some extent, although it's had it's peaks and gulleys.) And I think that Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes was horrible. If they only changed the ending I would hail it as excellent. But being a hard fan of the Planet of the Apes series, I was unbelievably disappointed and mildly homicidal after seeing that ending.

I mean, I can watch it, it has a decent pace and the story isn't horrible . . . but it's just . . . I dunno. I have this, "It's just there," vibe from it. Are there plans to continue the franchise under his direction? Hey Zsasz, here's a question: Do you count the Animated Batman movies up there with the live actions entries in the franchise? In my opinion, Mask of the Phantasm stands out, and ranks right up there with Batman Returns as far as getting to the root of who Batman is.

And you know what? Most people agree with me. Oh, and Solider takes place in the same universe as Blade Runner, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

The three films run back to back and likely only encompass a few weeks of time. I'm not sure I understand. In real time, the BTTF trilogy happens over the course of a maybe two weeks. The LOTR Trilogy takes place over a period of over a year from the time Frodo leaves Hobbiton. I know it isn't stated implicitly in the movie, but they spend like two months in Rivendell and about the same amount of time, if not more, in Lorien. Ah Batman, one of the great geek litmus tests. I liked the first one a lot, although I thought Kim basinger was annoying as hell as Vicki Vale. I just don't like Batman Returns. Frankly it should have been called "The Penguin, Catwoman and Christopher Walken Attack Gotham! Featuring Batman". I thought Batman Forever was really good, and a nice change from the dreary, annoying, overly dark Burton (who I do not like) crap. My biggest issue was brought up here and that is the misuse of Two-Face. A crying shame. Batman and Robin was so close to being good that when it failed, it did so with gusto. All of the elements for a good movie were there. Cloony was a great Batman / Bruce Wayne. O'Donnell was a decent Robin. Arnold could have been a good Mr. Freeze. There were moments where you thought, "Wow. Why couldn;t the whole movie been like this?" Batgirl? Suck. Poison Ivy? Suck. Bane? Double Suck. Schumaker? Huge Suck. A shame really. And Star Wars... Yeesh. Give it a rest already. Star Wars should have won Best Picture in 1977. Empire was exactly what the series needed to keep it moving. Jedi was a rousing and mythical finale. Phantom Menace was good for what is was, the very beginning of a long, long story. Attack of the Clones took the setting of Menace, started to twist it and change into the setting for The Trilogy. I am so tired of reading how Empire was great, A new Hope was merely good, Clones was OK and Jedi and Menace sucked. now Jaws... yikes...

I have always been in favor of movies that reward the viewer for seeing the earlier installments. BTTF and LOTR are great examples. No recaps, copious references to the older movie and a stright line narrative. Great stuff.

It had one of the best plot twists in animated film history, great animation, aKILLER performance by Mark Hamill and it had the Joker beat the shit out of Phantasam (Who sucks) until Batty distracts him. (Everyone says that they knew it before but they're lying, I didn't recognize who the chauferre really was until the second viewing.)
