Recommended Posts

Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop

Just wanted to let you guys know that I just posted an interview with Jimmy Rave at SmarkTalk.com. In it, he discussed the Sweet Science 16, Air Paris, Ring Of Honor, CZW, and a lot, lot more. Please read it (link's in my sig.)

Do only 9 people care?!?!? I'm trying to pimp my latest "whore", so to speak, and no johns are taking at it? Man, that sucks.

(That whole thing was a joke, by the way.)

The only time that I have seen Rave was vs. Ruckus in CZW. Considering who he was working with, it was a good match, with not a ton of spottyness from Ruckus. I am surprised that Rave was as positive about CZW as he was, since Ruckus nearly broke Rave's neck trying to do a Falcon Arrow while standing on three chairs. I was impressed by him though, and Rave/Acid would be a good match.

I never saw that match. The botched Falcon Arrow may be partially Jimmy's fault, too, since he was sicker than a dog that day (and he said he threw up in the ring). Rave/Acid was booked for a show at one point, but Jimmy was unbooked at the last second.

The spot was that two chairs were set-up, with a third chair bridged across them. Ruckus was standing on top of the chairs, and trying to lift Rave, who was on the ground. He got Rave to the vertical position, when the chair slipped and Ruckus dropped Rave head-first onto the open chair. It could have easily been a career-ending injury. I've seen Ruckus do the spot clean on Sonjay Dutt, but it still is an incredibly dangerous spot, and I don't think Ruckus has attempted it since, but I may be wrong.

BTW: Since Sonjay has worked Wildside, try and get an interview with him. He's gotten megaover in the past few months in CZW, and I'd like to see what he's got to say about everything.

First off, can't do an interview with Sonjay. I've heard he's pretty good, but I haven't seen him work, and know little about him. As for him and Wildside, I don't think he'll be back (Bill Behrens is cheap, and won't pay for any outsiders coming in that won't draw fans).

As for the Ruckus-Rave thing, I was talking to Jimmy yesterday, and he admitted that it was really dangerous, and Ruckus almost killed him.

This may sound dumb, but what is your connection with Wildside then? You seem to get great interviews with wildside workers when other dont?

Simple: Guys read my reviews, e-mail me to either compliment me (Prazak, Rave, Michaels, Wilson, "Mr. Delicious" Jacey North), or to say they absolutely hate me (a certain "Ticking Time Bomb" did that once). I e-mail back, eventually we start talking regularly online, and then the interview just sort of comes up. (Actually, not to sound brash, but Dan actually asked me through Prazak, not the order I listed above).
