So here you are. SJL European Champion, and you lost your match before the break.

 

Janus mused as he sat on the couch, a silent behemoth in what appeared to be the living room of his house. Fresh as if from the shower, he flicks wet hair from his face, fingers probing his bandaged left shoulder, which gave little to no response. He murmured to himself as if answering his own thoughts.

 

"I was in pain. Injured. And I couldn't shake off a shot to the head like that..."

 

Couldn't, or wouldn't? In your heel days, you were so much tougher - remember the sort of shots you took back then?

 

Without a word, the giant rose from his chair and picked a video out of his collection. After a pause, he looked at what was scrawled on the tape, at the urgings of that little, destructive part of his mind.

 

??/??/00-01? - Finisher Through A Table Match - Janus vs. The Dudley Boyz

 

There were only a few clips that he remembered on the tape. Countering out of a Bubba Ray Cutter and hoisting him up over his head, before delivering to what all intents looked like a Last Ride elevated powerbomb over the ropes and through the table - except this version of the bomb had Bubba taking the full impact on his neck and head.

 

The second was the counterattack by Bubba Ray much later in the match - he had been brawling with D-Von and had been surprised by the eliminated Dudley and powerbombed through a table. The Dudleyz had celebrated.

 

He had no sold that powerbomb like it was a slap, chokeslammed Bubba Ray, and then hoisted D-Von up and plowed him through the announce table with that stiff head-and-neck impacting Last-Ride-style elevated powerbomb.

 

"I remember that...it was in one of those old feds. I can't remember the name anymore...but I was nowhere near nice."

 

And your Dark Bomb...remember that? You injured so many with that move....

 

"And the reason I was so aggressive...is because I was a heel."

 

And then there was Krohnos and the others in that later fed...do you remember the whole 'dark Ministry' thing they had going?

 

"Yes. Evil. Cold. Dark. Causing pain and destruction. I lived by that motto. But that group just pushed it too far."

 

Janus leaned back on the couch, looking at nothing in particular. He ran his fingers over his injured shoulder - after watching the tape of his heel days, his mind now wandered to today. He was a good guy now. Fighting against everything he had done in the past as a heel.

 

Just because someone is a heel does not make them evil. As Ejiro said, they may cheat and be underhanded, but they are honest about it. Be honest with yourself. You know you will do anything you can to win.

 

"Within the rules"

 

For now. Think more on what Ejiro said. You'd do well to go back to your old ways. Do whatever you deem necessary to win.

 

Janus shook his head and rose to his feet, looking at the Smarks Junior League European title belt sitting on the table before him, and frowned faintly.

 

"We'll see. There are still the holidays to think on this."

(I figured I could lump in a bit from ancient feds where I'd used the -then heel- Janus before. I had to to get the idea out. Criticise me if you deem it is necessary )
