Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I went in to it thinking it would show complete matches, I guess I went stupid for a night or something, but I did. I realized at first that it would be clipped, and began to think about not watching it. I then realized that the lineup included the Taker/Hardy ladder match, and thought to myself... ...if they added THIS match to this show, then damn, this WAS bad year. I thought this was a BEST of 2002, not a WORST of 2002. It was at this moment that I decided to not watch RAW tonight. I flipped to it just to see Rock/Hogan and Angle/Mysterio, and I caught the Owen Hart thing, but for the most part, I didn't watch any of RAW really. Am I alone here, or did anyone else do the same thing? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 31, 2002 It wasn't so bad. Too much Jeff Hardy.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't sit down to watch it no. I went over to my friends house and played Magic the Gathering and he flipped it on in the background.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted December 31, 2002 Half way through the show I was wondering to myself why the hell was I watching it. I'm pissed they didn't show the Rey/Edge vs Angle/Benoit tag match.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't watch it at all. I almost did because there was nothing good on TV, but then i found a tape with some movies i taped during Halloween week.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I just wanted to see Rock/Hogan again thinking it was the whole match, so it was constant flipping till they showed it then once it was done, I was gone.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted December 31, 2002 Does anyone else think the blurring of the old WWF logo is beyond retarded? That really annoyed me durring the show, they'd show extreme close ups just to avoid a WWF logo. I think the blurring is more to hope the fans forget the WWF ever existed then it is getting backlash from the Panda humper group.
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't I went to a Nashville Predators game. Had more fun there than I have had watching RAW in a long while.

I almost didn't want to watch ANYTHING because it pissed me off so much. Not so much that I'm pissed at their doing it, as I understand why they are doing it (ok, not really), than as much as it is a HUGE obvious eye sore.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't watch it, which makes for approximately the 20th week of Raw in a row I did not watch. See, I know how to not watch shitty programming.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't watch it as I was watching Back to the Future...with spanish subtitles. Why would they show anything about Owen in a best of 2002 deal? Dames

I hate how it's treated like it was always WWE except for the Anthology CD commercial. And shame, because WWE really sucks. I miss the WWF.

Eyesore indeed...it looked ugly blurring the shirts of the guys wearing WWF shirts snapping shots ringside. And when you'd see the wwf.com logo on the side of the ring. I mean damn, the Raw anniversary show is probably going to have a ton of this too
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I turned it on about ten or fifteen minutes into the show, and saw Coah and Terri talking about UT or something...I had enough. I just spent that chunk of time playing NHL 2K3, instead.

Guest Mole Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I watched it, I never miss a Raw. Espeically after ECW came back. Blurring out the WWF logos is a good idea on Vince's part. If you think about it, they want to get past that part of their business. They are no longer known as WWF, but as WWE. Being hardcore fans, that annoys people. But as a business stand point, you have to understand. WWF is never coming back. It sucks, but you have to acccept that. I am already used to calling it WWE. It is just the way things go, that is all.

Guest jester Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I didn't watch all of Raw. I caught the Owen tribute, that's it. Oh, and guys, they have to blur the WWF logo. They have no choice in the matter. They can't use those initials, period. Boy Vince, bet you felt like you had a big dick when you ignored that deal with the WWF. How big does your dick feel now? Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I did not watch it. I really had no interest to watch it. I usually find 'Best of" things to be rather bland, kind of like Raw usually is.

Guest Mole Report post Posted December 31, 2002 If you think about it, they want to get past that part of their business. a.k.a. The "successful" part. Yeah, it doesn't mean they can't be "successful" now. Hell, they were in the shits before they even changed their name. I am already used to calling it WWE I refuse to. Well, then why the fuck are you still watching? You have to accept it. For example, a few years ago, the Houston Oilers left Houston and went to Tennessee and became the TennesseeTitans. That is like saying "Oh, I won't accept the fact that they are the Titans. They are still the Oilers." Well, no they aren't. They are the Titans now, and it will stay that way. You still can watch Steve McNair go out their and kick some ass. WWF is never ever coming back. They are WWE for the time being, unless they change it to something else. I mean, good god, it is only one word. I still turn on the TV and watch Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit wrestle **** matches. I still turn Raw, Smackdown, or a PPV to see wrestling. I am not a fan of wrestling because of the word Entertainment or Ferderation. It is all the same. Deal with it, because if you can't, then your aren't a true fan.If half of the fans across the country can accept it, then you should too.

Guest Danny Dubya v 2.0 Report post Posted December 31, 2002 ...I didn't watch it because the people in my house were hogging the two TVs and would NOT get off. Well, until around 10:30 or some bit after... damn TLC4 and suicidal snorter video.
Guest mickberna Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I am not a fan of wrestling because of the word Entertainment or Ferderation. It is all the same. Deal with it, because if you can't, then your aren't a true fan.If half of the fans across the country can accept it, then you should too. I'd consider myself a hardcore wrestling fan, and one of the more positive ones at that. However, I still believe that the one little letter made a big difference... World Wrestling Entertainment. What the hell is that? It's like basically ditching the whole idea of suspension of disbelief by saying, "we're only here to entertain you, so don't take this seriously." Personally, despite the pyro and lighting and video packages and everything else, I'd rather watch a well-booked indy show than WWE these days simply because there's too much "entertainment" and no damn wrestling. And with the official company name change, they seem to think they can start venturing into other forms of media that will no doubt prove disastrous. Blame who you will about the current plight of the company... but as much as I like his character, Eric Bischoff the producer ruined modern big-time wrestling. He turned it into a TV show, the "male soap opera", instead of the quasi-sports event it used to be. And Kevin Dunn ripped him off. And now everyone thinks it's the way it should be. Maybe my point is lost here somewhere, but Anglesault, stubborn bastard that he may be, is right. WWE is lame, and should not be acknowledged. WWF has a long and colorful, and if I may say, amazing history. The fact that they have to blur all their own logos, censor their own speech, and the very fact that they never even explained the goddamn issue on one of their major shows just adding to the lameness. Ok I'm rambling..... enough.
