Chunk 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2003 Lynn/Storm is a match right out of the FWA book. Does anyone know if Lynn had a hand in getting the FWA guys (Fliesch, Zebra Kid, Jonny Storm) in the XPW door? ChUnK!
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted January 1, 2003 I'm dead disapointed in Fleisch for agreeing to work for that scumbag Lynn too
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted January 1, 2003 Jody Fleisch hasn't worked for XPW. He worked for ROH and CZW during his last U.S. stay.
Chunk 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2003 I'm dead disapointed in Fleisch for agreeing to work for that scumbag Lynn too Yeah I agree with you. But we come back to the Joey Styles arguement. You can't really blame him for doing it. He wants to break the American scene, and so you can't blame him for taking any chance he gets to work in the states. I guess with Lynn its the same. He has to earn money some how, and he has heat with ROH. So a guys gotta do whata guys gotta do. ChUnK!
Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted January 2, 2003 hey 1inch, it shouldnt matter, lynn vs storm will be a good match. who cares who they work for, they need earn money. you dont even live in america so i doubt that you have even seen an xpw tape. just take it for what it is, wrestling, leave the politics alone. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Youthanzia (mdogg20 and josh prohibition) vs Mexicos Most Wanted for the TAG titles Name-stealing-spot-monkey-backyard-bastards. I didn't like these guys in CZW....now I can like em even less. I just hope I don't get "Cool name, are you an M Dogg mark?"
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted January 2, 2003 You may not like Rob Black, but you run what wrestling promotion again? OH yeah NONE. Atleast hes got wrestling for us to watch, and the banking to possibly go national. Atleast he does something for the business, like employ wrestlers.(Fine fine, Ill use the word loosly.) Atleast hes got wrestling for us to watch, and the banking to possibly go national. Atleast he does something for the business, like employ wrestlers.(Fine fine, Ill use the word loosly.) Well, XPW was shit in 1999-2001...I haven't seen any 2002. So I'll check back in 2005 and if they're decient I'll start over with a clean slate. And Rob Black? He's trying to monopolize the Philly area now and get talent away from other indy companies...he's a cancer to the scene and has done nothing to support it
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Youthanzia (mdogg20 and josh prohibition) vs Mexicos Most Wanted for the TAG titles Name-stealing-spot-monkey-backyard-bastards. I didn't like these guys in CZW....now I can like em even less. I just hope I don't get "Cool name, are you an M Dogg mark?" YNA, you should have seen the hate directed at these guys at the CZWFans board, there were at least 15 threads about them leaving for XPW. I feel bad in some ways- one because I liked both guys, and I thought JPro especially had the tools to become a major indy star, but they basically fucked over their futures in the business for easy money now. I call it the "XPW stigma" theory: once you're known primarily as "an XPW worker," you're fucked, because of the perception that a) you suck and b) work for a company that makes videos that would make Larry Flynt puke, and thus a PR nightmare. Consequently, no national promotional will take a look at you. For example, let's look at guys who started out in CZW, or are most famous for their work there, who have been booked for NWA-TNA: SATs, Amazing Red, Jay and Mark Briscoe, Divine Storm, the Backseat Boyz. Now let's look at guys who are mainly associated with XPW who have been booked for TNA: 0 So, if their backyard pasts didn't do MDogg and Josh in, "XPW stigma" sure as hell will now. I feel bad for CZW too, because I thought those two guys really were the glue of their midcard, but I have faith they'll find somebody to replace them. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 2, 2003 I post at the CZW fan board every now and then...but since I don't see the tapes till months later I don't keep up well on events. So I don't post there a lot. I really didn't like the guy's matches anyway. Jo Pro was alright I guess, but didn't do much for me. Kid weighted nothing and tried to be a badass. Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted January 2, 2003 malice worked tna, lynn worked tna. i think storm may have but i am not sure. i think hamrick worked tna as well
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 2, 2003 malice worked tna, lynn worked tna. i think storm may have but i am not sure. i think hamrick worked tna as well But none of them are XPW originals...all had made their names before XPW...unlike the CZW workers who went on to TNA

Chunk 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2003 YNA: I never really thought about it like that, but youve got a great arguement there. XPW seems to damage careers as well as the indy scene I fear for Zebra Kid, who is a quality british heel, and has been working for XPW lately. ChUnK! I dont give two fucks about Jonny Storm, i care about Fleisch since ive seen him live (Chris Daniels jobbed to him, in England) and i dont think he should lower himself to working for a porn distributor who wanted to feed a live puppy to a snake
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Fleisch HAS NOT worked for XPW in the past, and that notice SAYS NOTHING about Fleisch working for XPW on their next shows! I'm on the CZW boards, and if Fleisch was working for XPW, there would have been the usual uproar about it. I know Jonny Storm and Zebra Kid have worked for XPW. Jodie Fleisch has not worked for XPW. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted January 3, 2003 malice worked tna, lynn worked tna. i think storm may have but i am not sure. i think hamrick worked tna as well I think he meant before going to TNA. The names you listed were established stars that started in TNA before XPW, except Hamrick who is another ECW alum
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted January 3, 2003 I have nothing against indy wrestlers working for XPW, especially since they seem to be turning into a half-decent promotion now (from reading various show reviews). Once again, "XPW stigma" all goes back to Rob Black and Extreme Associates' porn vids. Here's to Josh Prohibition realizing the errors of his ways and going back to CZW. Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted January 5, 2003 How much does XPW pay compared to the other companies? It must be a few times more, because I doubt most of the indy guys they're trying to get would put that stigma on them for peanuts. And didn't Zandig give a little speech about Prohibition and M-Dogg at the CZW show? Man, that would've been fun to hear. Finally ... who has XPW taken from 3PW/CZW/ROH so far? I only know of Joey Matthews and Youthanazia.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Jingus said that XPW is the top paying indy in the country, sometimes going 3 or 4 times as much. At the last CZW show at Viking Hall (One More Time) the Backseats came out dressed like M-Dogg and Josh Pro and ripped on them, as well as Zandig. XPW also stole Boogaloo from ROH (1/2 of the Natural Born Sinners with Homicide). I think he's now one of the Dead Prez. Emax would know more about that then me.
