WWE Stars as Movie Stars

Recommended Posts

I'm just curious... who else, besides me, thinks almost all the WWE superstars could be great in movies? I'm not just talking about action movies, ie, Rock. For instance, I think Raven would be EXCELLENT as one of those psycho-killers in a movie.

Sooooo, name a few stars you think could "cross over" into the movie world.......

At the moment, I can honestly think of no one that I'd like to see give acting a try. Maybe later.

HHH would be perfect as Conan.

I could see Big Show in a comedy flick. He's a funny guy.

I'd kinda like to see Greg Helms get his own television series...

Starring him as a super-hero.

If they didn't cast who they did, I could ALMOST see him playing Spider Man.

...maybe he could be a movie version Kyle Rayner Green Lantern.

Jericho could be a good villain.

And I'd watch a comedy with Booker T in it :D

Booker T in "Friday after Next Friday"?

Doesn't matter. I already laugh my ass off if I just see him walking around with his eyes wide open, staring at his hand. If he had his own movie I'd probably die from laughing. I love the guy.

Insane, that is a GREAT Team Angle banner.

I can't see anyone else make it over to the movies.

And I really don't want to see anyone make it. I love the Rock. I think he is a good wrestler, good on the mic, all round a good performer. I miss him, he's good for the business.

Basically, I don't want to see another great wrestler leave the business. Kudos to them for going on to better things. Making more money, and getting mainstream success.

I hope the Rock does well outside of wrestling. It will bring him success, money, and more fans. Hell, he can always come back to wrestling.

Thank you. I wanted to add some effects to it (which I suck at), but everybody seems to like it the way it is. So I guess I'l keep it until they ruin the angle (hopefully long).

Who said they had to leave? Remember that lil project WWE is starting up? Something like "WWE Films" or whatever? Personally, I think it could be veeeeery interesting, if it's not ruined!

If Booker is in anything he has to have a sword.

Damned right he does! Yay, that means I'm not the only one who remembered "Goldust and Booker T @ The Movies" where they reviewed Scorpion King!

I caught ya, CC...and I'm just wondering...

What have YOU been smokin'?

(you KNOW that shirt will go into print soon....besides, it makes a better catchphrase than "HLA" or "I love my testicles!"))

Earlier this year, I was thinking about wrestlers that would be good in movie roles........

HHH as He-Man

Brock as The Incredible Hulk

Bischoff would be great as a jerk or boss or someone slimy the main character has to put up with

A lot of other guys could really thrive with minimal background character roles. Not many lines coupled with the look that most of the wrestlers have could land a few roles for them.

Yes, they will have to leave to do movies. Look at the Rock. Is he around right now? Nope, he left to do movies. Yes, he comes back for a few months in between movies, but it isn't the same.

Let's say, for instance, that Kurt Angle gets into movies. The best wrestler WWE has, IMHO, he goes off every for a 5 month period to film movies. When he is gone, he LEAVES to film the movies. Yes the wrestlers have to LEAVE to film the movie. You must be retarted not to get that.

And you are the only person who thinks WWE films is a good idea. Look at the other things Vince has done outside the wrestling business. XFL? Yeah, that did well. Smackdown Records? Went out of business, selling jack shit. The World? Lost tons of money. Vince should just stick to what he knows best, wrestling. WWE Films would be a big mistake, a big money loser. If wrestling isn't even doing well, how can a movie about wrestling do well?

I hope they do put HHH in a movie so I can not go see it.

Jericho seems to have a good talent for showmanship in general, so I think he'd be good in a variety of roles, particularly anything comical or villainous.

Booker T has a good action hero look. He can get out his GI Bro costume again!

Steven Richards I think would make a great psychopath. I wish they'd bring it out in him more in WWE.

Jericho, Booker T, and Bischoff would all be good, as others have said.

And Van Dam has already been in martial arts flicks already. He'd be fine with that, because so far what I've seen his acting is too bad for even most comedies, although I could see him in a pothead comedy easily.

HHH= HHHulk, or Conan's son easily. Can't be worse than Ah-nuld at acting. And not like I'd be watching anyway.

Goldust = comedy at the very least, maybe drama.

Bubba Ray = Curly in a new Three Stooges, just shave off the beard.

Molly = voice work and likely a comedic/light drama role. Probably a pretty good range, but she'd be more likely to be given a shot when she was a blond. :P

Big Show = any role that calls for a big, goofy guy. Tough huge role a natural as well. As long as every other line isn't "I'm SEVEN FEET...FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS..."

Trish = porno. :P

Torrie = not even a good enough actress for porno. Shitty b-movie flicks that call for a dense, pretty-looking blond.

Stacey = The Miss Handcock character probably was ripped right of a porno Russo was watching. Although, for the moment she'd have to co-star with Test (shudder), so a dippy secretary role works.

Al Wilson = A horror movie; he'd make an excellent corpse.

Vince McMahon = an aging megalomanical sycophant billionaire or a rich old man slipping into senilety while his daughter squanders his fortune. Both he's had experience with.

Jerry Lawler = Perverted old man role, although he'd want to host a kid's show.

JR = football commentator role. Let him live his dream for just a bit.

Benoit = Wolverine, new X-men flick if Hugh Jackman doesn't do it.

Triple H as He-Man -- I've been saying this for a while now. But I first got the idea back when HHH still had long, flowing hair. He could still pull it off though, although he'd totally no-sell Skeletor's evil.

Undertaker -- He could play the same character he plays in WWE. A bad-ass, Walking Tall-type good guy.

Kevin Nash -- He could play Brian Bosworth's role in Stone Cold 2

X-Pac -- He could play the bad guy in a jail movie.

Booker T -- A smarter version of Debo in the next Friday installment.

Vince McMahon -- THE DEVIL HIMSELF, if JR knows anything. And you know Vince would get a huge kick out of playing the Devil.

Big Show and Paul Heyman -- My Giant, the sequel.

X Pac? Nah. Put him on Oz. Vern Schillinger would have him in make up and bent over a pool table before he made it to his cell.

We'll all find out soon enough, what with WWE making those straight to video movies with WWE stars in them...

When he had his hair Kurt Angle was the spittin image of Captain Marvel (aka Shazam!) I think he'd be a better choice for that role than Patrick Warburton.

Kurt + Winnebago = BOX OFFICE RUNAWAY~!

I really wish they'd start a User Fiction forum here, because I have tons of cool stories that I don't think most literary types would enjoy, but that might catch on here. I've written detective, western, war, super-hero, crime, spy, and science-fiction.
