The Bishoff/Steph kiss: Did I miss something...

Recommended Posts

Guest Downhome

I seriously don't remember if they ever did anything with that or not. I don't recall them ever mentioning it again other than at the two shows after it happened, so did it ever actually mean anything, or did they just drop it along with so much other stuff like they tend to do?

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I think it was just another in a long list of angles that have been dropped with little to no explanation.

They had some kinda staredown or something on the Heat before Survivor Series, but besides that, I don't remember anything ever coming from it.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure. I hope they don't just "bring it back" out of nowhere since they haven't done anything with it so far, I really hate when they do that, even more than when they just drop something out of nowhere.

Well, whatever happened to the briefcase at King of the Ring?

Oh ya, this is the WWE...

Wasn't that Bossman?

Well, whatever happened to the briefcase at King of the Ring?

Wasn't that Bossman?

It was the Bossman. On the Heat prior to the PPV, Vince and Shane "booted" the Bossman out of the Corporation, for costing the stable matches and such.

The stipulation in the ladder match, "was that no member of the Corporation could interfere, or else Vince and Shane would be disqualified".

The next night, Bossman was reintroduced into the Corporation stable.

And yes, it seems like a great angle, yet the WWE never capitalized on it, or made light on the ingeniousness of the angle.

WWE Writers: Kiss? What kiss?

EDIT: Stupid HTML tags.

Wow, that Bossman angle makes perfect sense. Well done for remembering that. But not well done on Vince for not even mentioning it.

Or maybe it was Russo's wacky idea for one to figure it out on their own type of deal. I dunno.

I wished something had come out of it....it was really interesting.

And it was quite a shocker when it happened..or at least it was shocker for those that hadn't read the spoilers. As soon as "Vince" started talking, I knew it was Bischy. It was like....hmmm...okay Bischy is bragging aga--holy shit, he's kissing Steph!! And she likes it!!! Or maybe that's just my teenybopperish ways marking out. Silly me.

I know that ignored/dropped angles are annoying, but think about it: Would you WANT anything to come of the Bischoff-Steph kiss? All it would lead to are matches involving non-wrestlers, main event storylines focusing on non-wrestlers, and less TV time for matches because they're doing more skits on that angle. This is one angle I'm totally cool with WWE ignoring.

The kiss was supposed to lead to a romance between Steph and Bischoff that would lead to the much hyped return of Vince, who would kick Eric off of Raw, sending him to SD and setting up Steph vs Vince Round 33....

If Bischoff would have kissed her, but Steph backed off and wanted no part of it, then it would have been reasonable to forget about it, but the fact that they MADE A POINT to show Steph at first accept the kiss, then embrace it, and then kiss back, shows that there still may be something more than meets the eye.....or.....it was dropped....hehe WWE

I'm sure they're still trying to find a way to work HHH into the angle, most likely with him beating both Jericho and RVD at the same time, while HBK adjusts his crotch in the corner praising Jeebus.

I always figured that the whole kiss wasn't part of any ongoing story, but a way for the McMahon's (including their soon to be son-in-law) to privately, and disgustingly, humiliate Bischoff. Since HHH is at all tapings, I figure big Steph gave him oral sex a couple minutes before they filmed the kiss, and then everybody got a big laugh about it.

...or maybe I'm paranoid and shouldn't have thought of that...
