Here's a use for Hogan

Recommended Posts

Why not make him the GM of SD!, and have Bisch and Steph unite. It would let him just talk, which is what the fans love about him, and it would the other two CRAZY OVER~! as heels.

I'd rather Hogan take over for someone at the commentary table. He could talk about how *insert wrestler here* would've won had he used the three demandments: training, saying your prayers & taking your vitamins. He'd have to be better than Jerry Lawler. Hell, if he spent every breath burying the talent he would be better than Lawler. At least then he would come off as a heel commentator.

I don't want Stephanie & Eric together, that's for sure. Hell, I didn't want Steph to come out with Heyman during the ECW reunion. I didn't want Steph & Shane to unite during the Invasion angle. I mean, Steph is attractive, so she has to have an on camera role, I just don't know what it should be. Why can't she just be a Miss Elizabeth type valet? You know, one who doesn't try to steal the spotlight, and just sits there and looks good while standing besider her man. It would work for me.

Well, if Steph and Bisch united against Hogan we would have clear-cut face and heel GM's for the first time, and that could help this angle's devolopment. Plus InVasion failed because it was supposed to be WCW vs. WWF. It had been dreamed of for years. This could be anything. Steph/Bisch don't have to try to take over the WWE, just use dirty tactics to try and beat Hogan's side.

I don't think Hogan would be a good commentary man. He'd probably talk about his favorite subject too much.

JR: Bah God, RVD is setting up the Van Terminator! But can he make it on that injured leg? Oh my God! What an impact! Have you ever seen anything like that?

Hogan: You know JR, when I slammed Andre the Giant in front of eight trillion screaming Hulkamaniacs brother, I blah blah blah 24 inch pythons, blah blah I opened the door for Rock and Austin... blah blah blah

Don't they tell them what to say? And wouldn't the WWE try him out first to make sure that didn't happen?

..and like I said, that is still a helluva lot more entertaining that Lawler screaming sexist remarks. In fact, I actually laughed aloud when I read your reply. I think that would be great.

Oh, and JR would probably call the Van Terminator a 3D or a headlock. That man's an idiot.

Umm, he actually did call it a Van Terminator once.

And JR isn't an idiot. I mean, he isn't as good as he once was, but he still is decent out there.

You MUST be confusing JR with Mitchell Cole. C'mon, good ol' Jim Hoss ain't that freaking bad.

Every single time that D-Von & Buh-Buh Ray Dudley do the backdrop/neck breaker combo, he calls it a 3D. I've heard him call a Figure-Four Leglock a Sharpshooter. A Powerbomb a Piledriver, etc.

Sure, everyone makes mistakes, but he makes way too many. Also, I couldn't confuse him with Michael Cole, as I don't get Smackdown where I'm at. I don't like Jim Ross, but I like him more than Jerry Lawler.

I didn't ever think that I'd say this, but I think that Micheal Cole is better than JR now. Its sad really. How the mighty have fallen...

Actually I don't hate Michael Cole half as much as I used to. Just thought I'd throw that in. But getting back to the subject....

I really would rather not have Hogan commentating. I wonder how many moves he actually knows. And of course we would get:

Hogan: You know JR that Benoit could be a champion if he added the back rake to his moveset!"

I believe that is supposed to be a variation of the move, at least according to the WWE. If I remember correctly, in the Smackdown games, it is referred to as another version of the 3D.

Hogan should just do what he did with Edge over the summer, get an up and coming face superstar and be their tag team partner and play the face in peril.

It's not supposed to be a variation of the move. It's just a tag team manuever. They've been doing it since their ECW days, where no one called it a 3D. It's just like a double-suplex. Just a two man move. The 3D is a finisher. When JR called the backdrop/neckbreaker a 3D, then they don't even pin or get a two-count afterwards it makes the move seem less effective. At least it does to me.

Also, who cares WTF the smackdown games call it. They have half the moves named wrong. Sliced Bread is called Shinobi? WTF?

Why must there be clear-cut "heels and faces" for GMs? For wrestlers...usually...but for the GMs, no. Really, I don't mind that Steph and Bischoff are both 'tweeners.

*shrug* Perhaps I'm the only one...

Paul Heyman had a lot of tweeners in his ME programs in ECW.

Look where they are now.

If we're going to sit and talk about color commentaters to replace Jerry Lawler with, then I'd give manbabies for Jesse Ventura to go back to commentating.

WWE needs to stop using the commissioner/GM angles, and Hogan would get very annoying doing commentary.

I think Hogan would be used best as a manager type to get a face over, or be a non-wrestling speaker for a face stable.

I think Hogan would be best used for putting over guys who need to be put over. Nothing else.

I don't think WWE has ever had a point where they didn't have a commissioner, GM, President, or a Owner.

I honestly don't know how they could do it without one, can anyone think of a way?

Like HartFan said before, Hogan is best used with Edge earlier in the year. Just stick him in a role like that, he still has some rub to give. I mean, the casual fans still love him, so his rub is still there.

Hogan's contract comes up for renewal this month as far as I know and I can't see Vince renewing it

I mean more not having the commissioner/GM angle being an integral part of WWE, like it has been. With someone like Hogan in that position, it would be guaranteed to be a major part of the fed, thus taking the attention away from the wrestlers.

I agree completely with Dangerous A's line.
