WWE 2003 Predictions

Recommended Posts

Guest William E

It's a new year and anything can happen. I see some of the following happening this year.

Kurt Angle becomes a top superstar on the level of the Rock and Stone Cold

The Rock finally calls quits wrestling for acting

RVD might actually win a world title :P

Vince still won't retire

Scott Stiener won't be in the company due to a major injury or beating the shit out of someone for looking at him the wrong way

There's more that I'll post later. What do you predict will happen in 2003?

He should. But he should have in 2001 and 2002. And God damnit, if Vinc e needs a stepping stone for a "bright" new star, it's back to the midcard with you, Kurt!

AngleSault is right. Angle = Fodder for Brock to squash at WM, and then he can go back to the midcard with Benoit and put on ****+ BLINDFOLD matches.

HHH will be done after this year, ditto with Steiner.

UnderTaker will Goldust himself out of his funk, go back to the SWANKY Dead Man UnderTaker and get himself back to why people loved his work.

Rob Van Dam will...well, get the biggest pops and stay in the midcard. Ditto for Booker.

Big Show will win the title four times...Hardcore, European, IC, Light Heavyweight for his left leg...

Test will win the world title. I shit you not...

Kurt becomes the runaway number 1 star, with team angle as his foundation.

Jericho finally becomes a true living legend after beating HBK, HHH, Rock and Austin clean on ppv's.

RVD is built up and the summer of Rob is culminated by a main event match against Y2J at summerslam.

Ratings and business begin to increase, both brands show increases in business.

Jerry Lawler retires to a scummy strip club where he dj's the girls music, he is never happier.

JR's BBQ sauce sells out in grocery markets across the country, but by years end a feud with Paul Newman distracts Ross from is announcing duties and he is replaced by Joey Styles.

Bret heals from his stroke completely and is finally able to put his resentment aside and lives a happy life.

Nash comes back and sends everything to hell (more so). There will be little to no elevation of new stars, cruiserweights continue to be buried, and to find the good workers you better look towards the midcard. Batista will also carve through everybody, particularly Rob Van Dam, who he will beat repeatedly.

Oh, and Test will continue to be pushed. Will he finally get over? Of course not.

HBK will tear his quad in his match against HHH at Mania to complete the triangle of quad tears.

Team Angle win the tag titles by March.

Scott Stiener is gone after Wrestlemania.

The WWE finally signs more Cruisers and make a go of the division (Yeah Right)

HHH position in the company is weakened when Stone Cold and a Heel Rock return.

Jericho and RVD will be in the same position come next year.

Eric Bishoff will get sacked.

Jeff Hardy will get released

I was watching last year's Summerslam match, with Stone Cold vs. Angle. It was the night before Stone Cold Appreciation Night (which is included on the DVD as well--"MILKAMANIA HAS RUN WILD!!").

Angle was over as fuck, and even though the match ended via screwjob, I got soooo sucked into the match and the story. Angle kept coming up short, but not 3 stunners, not head-first into the ringpost over and over, bleeding everywhere, and some STIFF looking punches and cheapshot tactics could put him out, and the crowd was eating it up. Hell, the videopackages made it look like all of this was booked much better than it was.

In fact, if Angle hadn't become the hokey red-white-and-blue Austin then, and just left it be with the milk truck incident, I think it'd have all come out much better. :P

Okay, sorry, just--marking for Angle and Austin wrestling, and such. Forgive me. :P

Just one prediction...2003 will be better then 2002...cause it has to be...I don't know if I'll watch in 2004 if 2003 looks anything like 2002.

2002...worst WWF/WWE year since 1995

You never know though..

It has to be better than 2000 WCW. Oh, and I've sent away for a Wild B. Brown tape, the WCW "How to lose $80 Million in just 12 Months" tape.

Just the descriptions of some of that stuff sent chills down my spine, but at least I can laugh at it, knowing it's all over.

I hate being pessimistic, but I don't see many changes in WWE.

You're kidding yourself if you think HHH still isn't going to be GOD.

Brock will be pushed even more, defeats Angle at Mania, and Angle is buried after.

Nash comes back and totally sucks up the summer months in a HHH feud.

Goldberg is signed and blah blah blah, it doesn't look good.

Triple H will hold the RAW version of the WWE title for most of the year. He might lose it to Steiner at Royal Rumble, he might lose it at some point mid-2003, but he'll never be without the belt for more than a month at a time.

Chris Benoit, Rob Van Dam, and Booker T will NOT win a World title.

Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Steve Austin will win a World title.

The WWE Women's title wil still exist, but be largely forgotten.

Isn't that this year except for Steve Austin winning a belt? Where is your creativity? :P

Anyways, these are my predictions:

-Angle vs. Brock will be the main feud on 2003

-RVD and Jericho will hold the world title for about a month each

-Booker T will actually be a world champion contender, but never win the belt.

-HBK and Y2J will have a huge feud leading up to WM

-Big Show will slowly return to mid-card

-Kane will be pushed

-Test will be pushed

-Mattitude will rule the upper-midcard

-Edge and Benoit will be full-time main eventers

-Eddy and Chavo will be in the same place in the card as they are now

-The Dawn Marie/Torrie/Al storyline will prove that yes it is the never-ending angle.

Since they do the opposite of what I usually wish anyway:

Albert, Test, Batista, and Bill DeMott's main event pushes will continue throughout the year.

WWE releases Jamie Noble, Rey Mysterio, Los Guerreros, and Chris Benoit for failing to adapt to WWE's style.

Vince Russo is hired to book WrestleMania 19.

Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestles Debra in a West Texas Street fight at WrestleMania 19.

Kevin Nash returns as Diesel in Mid-April but will retire after going bald from a bad dye job.

Kurt Angle jobs to everyone.

Jason Hervey is hired as new head writer for RAW; he brings in his ex-fiancee Missy Hyatt to valet for a returning Bradshaw who becomes World Champion.

RAW's weekly rating drops to 0.9

Smackdown is cancelled to make room for "The Fugitive" starring Kevin Wolcholz.

At the end of 2003, Vince McMahon will sell WWE to Bill Gates who renames WWE to WCE - World Chess Extravaganza.

Angle turns face after losing the title setting up Rhyno for a push against Angle and an Angle/Lesnar re-match, face vs. face at SummerSlam.

Mysterio getst he cruiserweight belt and the division really takes off before being cut-off at the knees, effectively hurting Mysterio's credibility like Tajiri's.

Albert and Show, despite their latest pushes, mysteriously find their ways back to the bottom of the pile.

The time for Edge comes: He is either pushed to the top as a heel or the push ends.

Nash gets injured again.

I am just hoping that the WWE has a good year. The event I look forward to...........WMX9. With the potential comebacks of Rock and Stone Cold, and that rumored match (Rock vs G-berg), I am seriously hyped.
