Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 That's right, two reviews in one day. Up at SmarkTalk.com, I just posted a review of IWA Mid-South's Sweet Science 16 tournament: (also known as the Ted Petty Memorial) Night One, featuring Styles/Daniels, CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Chris Hero, and a match featuring the funniest worker in the U.S. right now. The link's in my sig. Thanks for reading.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 I've really given getting this some thought. The fact that it's 35 dollars for two tapes, instead of the usual 30 for two at SMV is the primary factor that is keeping me from pulling the trigger. My current order is COD4, COD3, and IWA-MS Best of 2002. Should I instead go COD4 and the TPI, knowing that the latter is five dollars more?
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 35 bucks? SMV only charged me 25 plus shipping. I'd go with TPI & COD4, just because the TPI rocked enough for 35 bucks.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 Their catalog says 35. You got somekind of special connection with them or something you wanna let me in on?
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 I sent my order in about a week or so after the show happened, and I only sent in 30 bucks (5 to cover S&P), and I got the tapes.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 You might want to check with them and see if you owe them any then. They are nice about that. I sent them a check I forgot to sign, and they still sent my tapes. Couple months later, they call me up and tell me about it.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Sorry for bumping this, but I just want to say that every tape, regardless of what event it is, should end with a drunken, bloody man puking into a trash can.
Chunk Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Sorry for bumping this, but I just want to say that every tape, regardless of what event it is, should end with a drunken, bloody man puking into a trash can. Was it actually alcohol that they drank then? Surely not? ChUnK!
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 It sure as hell was. Necro and Corp. each took about eight shots of Tequila, before Corp. just laid down in the middle of the ring and couldn't move. They were both wasted, cause I don't think that either man could pull off that good of an acting job.

Thay ban deathmatches, but they let that go ahead ChUnK!
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 IWA-MS isn't in Philly, but in Indiana, I believe, and there are no laws about deathmatches in Indiana. And it sure as hell was dangerous. Nothing better then a drunken wrestler taking a swing at a fan. That didn't happen, but it could have. As funny as it was, I don't think Ian will be having another one of those. Good idea in theory, hilarious in execution, but just not something that really works.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 It wasn't really that dangerous; neither guy really did any moves after they were plastered.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Neither guy could really do any moves sober, either. It was funny as shit, but knowing how Corp. likes to get into the faces of fans, all it could have taken was one ill-adivsed comment to set him off. Either way, I don't see it happening again.
Chunk Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Neither guy could really do any moves sober, either. lol. Something could easily have gone wrong though. In a big way as well. Would you work a match drunk? I know I wouldn't. ChUnK!
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I don't drink (like Punk, M-Dogg, and Josh Pro, I'm sXe) so it's not an option for me.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 sXe is short for Straight Edge.
