Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Why has Batista been paired up with Flair this long, with no explanation? They continue to push him with Flair, while Orton comes back the same night, WHILE showing a Confidental preview of a 4 Horsemen story. So, are they going through with the Flair, Orton, Batista, HHHorsement yet?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I would instantly become a fan of anyone in the group... ...that is all.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 hmm is the WWE using Confidential for foreshadowing instead of reflection? Could they be that clever? What would be cool is if Flair says , towards the end of Confidential, "you never know when we might ride again"
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 7, 2003 hmm is the WWE using Confidential for foreshadowing instead of reflection? Could they be that clever? What would be cool is if Flair says , towards the end of Confidential, "you never know when we might ride again" That would be cool indeed. I want the Horsemen back, so sue me. I've been a fan of the group since it first formed so many years ago, and YES I remember it 100%. There is just something about them when they are together, something about the group in it's every form, and something about the hand sign. It is, afterall, excellence! While I am not a fan of HHH being a part of it, I feel he could be a damn near perfect Horseman, IF he resorted back to his 2000 self, and I am not sure he could do so. We would also, obviously, have to have Flair back in the leadership role. What would more than likely happen, is Flair would be the manager (the JJ of this new group), and he'll have four NEW guys. HHH, Orton, Batista, and someone else in there. If they did it right, it could be gold, but let me say this... ...if they go and fuck it up, I'd just rather them never mention the Horsemen again, instead of joining back up and making all the new fans have their only memory of the group being that of, eh, lackluster. Even if they do form, it will never be as emotional as it was when they reformed in Greenville, SC (I was there).
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Let the 4th guy be Nowinski, I think he and Orton would be a good young arrogant tag team
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I'd rather the 4th guy be a non rookie...Orton and Batista are both really young, I think it would be a good mix that way...another young gun would reek too much of The Natural Born Thrillers
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I guess i'm the only one who doesn't want to see the Horsemen reformed. I'd rather see Jericho, Christian and Orton have a little 'Cliq' thing. Maybe Nowinski too.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 7, 2003 If they were to form it would be the HHHorseman. Could you see HHH interfering in a Randy Orton match just so he could help a Horseman out? No way. They would all be there to make HHH as over as possible. I doubt that the whole team element that came into play with the other good Horseman groups would be present here. Don't piss on the name. Let it go.

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted January 7, 2003 HHH has too big of a status to get bogged down in a stable, unless everyone in the stable is instantly promoted to the main event. Anyways, I don't want Triple H anywhere near the "4 horseman" Would be just another reason for Triple H to remain in the spotlight of everything. WWE would be best served to focus on the future, I doubt 75% of today's marks even remember the four horseman anyway, and one episode of confidential sure aint going to make them care. Guest creativename Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I guess this is our bi-weekly "HorseFlockerous Alliance" thread... Yes, but unlike the other ones, this one is quite likely to come about. I don't want to see it though; old man Flair, HHH, and two rookies? That's a terrible group. Even if they put someone else in and have Flair manage, it's still a terrible group. Of course, I would love to have a real Four Horsemen run wild on the WWE. But every stable that has really generated interest has had multiple main eventers on it--that was the magic of the original Horsemen; Flair and Arn were main event calibre, and Blanchard and Ole were known. The nWo's mystique came from Hogan being Hogan and Nash being a former WWF champ, while Hall was also very famous. If they remade the Four Horsemen with guys like Jericho, Angle, Benoit, and maybe even Eddie (he'd have to drop the Latino Heat gimmick though), then I'm sure that it would become huge. Storm has the personality to be a Horseman, but he doesn't have the cred IMO--even though he has benefitted from the HHH trickle-down effect via Regal. Same with Regal--no cred, no matter how many times they feed him Booker. Fact is, I don't think you can have a credible Horsemen group with just the guys on either roster individually. Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Batista has to be HHH's enforcer...otherwise I'm not sure where they are going. Orton in the stable sounds great too, but I agree that HHH doesn't need any more TV time and having him in the Horseman would give him just that.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I would love to see the Horsemen come back... the only problem is RAW's creative team and how they would completely blow the idea, damaging the legacy of the horsemen in the process. Look no further than the "invasion" and the "nWo" debacles of yesteryear Oh yeah, another problem is the fact that HHH would be involved... enough said. I say trade Flair to Smackdown and after Team Angle has run it's course, use Angle in the proposed HHH role' the Smackdown 4 Horsemen consisting of Angle Benoit Guerrero Brock - enforcer role with Flair playing the role JJ Dillon
Guest Brian Report post Posted January 7, 2003 And screw over the Brock/Angle, Angle/Benoit, four potential main eventers, all to elevate Edge. <Vince> Sounds like a plan to me! <Vince>
Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Team Angle is a better group that deserves the honor of being 4 Horsemen NOT HHH Ortan Bautista with Flair as errand boy if the Gang Wars are returning then Chris Nowinski should be in the middle of it
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Maybe they'll have D'Lo bring back the Nation of Domination while they're at it, if they're so eager to live in the past and not come up with new ideas.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 8, 2003 So If IV horsemen return...Who are the foils? Random Faces? Booker one month, then Kane and then RVD and then Bubba and then Ultimo underachiever Al Snow? I am not asking for a union of Faces but have some sort of balance here... A relationship between Booker/RVD/Kane and ??? needs to be established. If Vince grew a set, they have Jericho become the Top face *Ducks* and turn Christian face and align them with RVD and Booker. Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Ugh, not Horsemen talk again. People, it's a dead angle, just like NWO. And like NWO, it will fail miserably. Vince can't rely on old angles to get the results he wants.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Another thing, If HHH owns Flair, why the IV Horsemen, and not DX (his baby)? Maybe he they really are making him FLAIR V.2.
Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2003 The Horsemen are very different from the nWo. nWo's gimmick is do "destroy everything" Horsemen are just a bunch of bad-asses who want the gold

Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2003 I'm talking about back then(NWA/WCW Horsemen, not this WWE knock off)
Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Nowinski is not a NUGGET if the 4 Horsemen return than there must be an Anderson in it. Bring in Arn Anderson as a face team of IV Horseman with CW, Malenko, Corino, Test
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted January 8, 2003 The idea is fine, but you just know that WWE will be depending on the name and the angle will take care of itself, just like they treated the NWO
