OOC: Starting... uh, now, I'll be posting one old/classic match match [or "From The Vault" so to speak... has to be a few months old] the night of every show. This particular match here was suggested by TBS, and since I was on an Axis-match-marathon, and I could choose between this and Axis vs Bo... well, I chose this. Solid match, with some Pound stuff at the end, and though a big-man vs big-man cage match sounds iffy in text, Thugg sure as hell managed to pull off a phenominal match [with phenominal spacing, too]. So, here it is, in all of it's glorious glory. Comment if you will, as this is a chance for the new guys to be educated, and the old ones to go on a nostalgia trip... and you know, if just a few people find the time to read it and post a few sentences of comments, I'll keep doing it. If not... meh, I probably will anyway Enjoy, bizznatches.

"FROM THE VAULT" MATCH FOR SWF STORM, JANUARY 08, 2003:

AXIS VS H-VILLE THUGG, CAGE MATCH... FROM UH... A WHILE BACK, CAN'T REMEMBER EXACT DATE

 

IGNWF Storm returns to the airwaves with the fans absolutely jacked for the evening's main event. The IGNWF theme blasts through the arena speakers while blue lights flicker above the ring, illuminating solid steel structure that surrounds it. The fans cheer as loud as they can while they hold up their signs and the steel cage stands tall and unyielding.

 

<Curry> And we're back!! Here's what we've been waiting for folks!! The steel cage match for the IGNWF World Heavyweight Title!!

 

<NTD> Just look at that thing. Is that safe?? Has it been inspected??

 

<Curry> It doesn't matter now. All that matters is that Axis and the HVille Thugg will step into that unforgiving, unyielding, overbearing steel cage, and only one man...ONE MAN...will leave as the IGNWF Champion!!!

 

The camera focuses on the announce table where Curry is dressing a very fashionable, black, Eddie Baurer shirt, and NTD is dressed in his traditional t-shirt and...and...well, that's all.

 

<Curry> Folks, let us take you back to a week before Ashes to Ashes, where the HVille Thugg put his ICTV title on the line against Axis.

 

The televisions at home show the ending of the HVT/Axis ICTV title match, as does the IGNTron. The live fans cheer as they watch Axis defeat HVT when Thugg is disqualified.

 

<Curry> With that disqualification, Axis won the ICTV title and a shot at the World Title, which brings us to tonight.

 

<NTD> Now, I'm not trying to start anything, but from what I just saw, it didn't look like Axis actually defeated Thugg. To me, it looked like Axis won on a technicality that wasn't even Thugg's fault.

 

<Curry> I guess Thugg wants to make sure that doesn't happen tonight because I've heard that he has arranged for a little insurance for tonight.

 

<NTD> Who??

 

<Curry> No one knows, but nonetheless, this match is going to huge...the fed's two elite big men, do it one more time...and this time, they'll do it inside the confines of a steel cage!!!

 

The fans are truly pumped up as they anxiously wait, and then, it happens! "Nobody Like You" by Limp Bizkit blasts through the speakers and the fans literally erupt into a frenzy. The 6'9" wide body of Axis steps out onto the stage and the frenzy becomes fanatic as fans hoot, holler, scream, yell, clap, stomp...anything to show their love for the master of the Factor Bomb.

 

<Funyon> Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a CAGE MATCH and it is for the IGNWF World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, making his way to the ring, weighing in at 301 pounds...hailing from Adelaide, Australia...He is the IGNWF INTERCONTINENTAL-TELEVISION CHAMPION........AAAAAAAAXXXXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

 

The name itself simply makes them cheer more as they love this Aussie with an undying passion. Axis, from the stage, glances around at the splendid ovation, and then begins his march to stardom. Axis walks very confident to the ring, slapping a few hands along the way, but mostly concentrating on the task at hand.

 

<Curry> And would you just listen to the ovation from this Milwaukee crowd!! They're really behind the Aussie tonight! They want him to destroy the Thugg and bring the world title back to the side of decency.

 

<NTD> Please, this crowd would get behind anyone they thought could win the big one. I mean look at what they have to deal with. The Packers...the Bucks...come on. Nothing but choke artists in this city. And Axis will choke tonight too...or be choked out!

 

Axis reaches the ring, walks up the steps, and enters the squared circle through the cage door. Once inside, he stands in the center of the ring and throws his hands in the air, sending the fans into another loud uproar. However, that uproar is short-lived as the lights shut out, leaving the arena shrouded in darkness...that is until the orange line in front of the stage starts to glow. Some fans start to boo, but most wait as a sadistic laughs is heard through the speakers and then....

 

 

BOOM!!!!

 

 

Fire explodes up from the orange line, and then it begins...the most hated music in the industry.

 

"They don't know..."

"Who we be!"

"They don't know..."

"Who we be!"

 

"What they don't know is..."

{Bass drop}

"The bullsh*t..."

"The drama..."

"The guns..."

"The armor..."

 

With DMX's "Who We Be" destroying the speakers and the fans forgetting any manners they may have had, HVT steps through the fire to the forefront. The house lights return and show the HVille Thugg standing atop the ramp, fists clinched, head down, and looking as angry as ever.

 

<Funyon> And his opponent, weighing in at 450 pounds, from Washington, DC...He is one half of the IGNWF Tag Team Champions and the IGNWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.....THE HVVVVIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEE TTTHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

 

Upon hearing his name, HVT whips his head up and sees the pure hatred coming from the fans in attendance and can feel the hate from those at home. He begins to slowly descend towards the ring with his world title across his left shoulder and his tag title across his right.

 

<Curry> Just feel the anger and pure hatred these people have for Thugg. I bet they would kill him if they got the chance.

 

<NTD> Pfft. Thugg would squash them like a bug, much like he's about to do now to Axis.

 

<Curry> Well, Axis has had Thugg's number recently, but Thugg looks extremely focused and angry tonight, even for him. So I don't know...but what I do know is that we're in for one helluva fight here tonight. I hope you put the children to bed, cause this one's not gonna be for the weak at heart!

 

HVT stops at the gate where he relinquishes his titles to the referee who will remain outside only to determine a winner. HVT then climbs the steps and the enters the cage, while Axis waits near the far ropes. The referee closes and latches the gate, and the calls for the bell.

 

DING DING DING

 

HVT stares across the ring at his most rivaled adversary as Axis returns the glare. The two start towards the center of the ring and begin to circle, each reaching out a hand in an attempt to feel out the other. After a few moments of circling and trash talking, the two mammoth beasts engage, locking arms and jockeying for position.

 

<Curry> And they lock up. Thugg's got the strength advantage, but not by much, and it hasn't stopped Axis from defeating him in the past.

 

The grapple is unsuccessful as neither man gains an advantage, so they break, and then quickly lock up again. A second break results as, again, no advantage is gained. In they come again, but this time, as soon as they engage, Thugg grabs Axis in a headlock.

 

<Curry> Traditional headlock from the champ.

 

HVT holds the headlock for a moment, and then Axis pushes him off, sending Thugg bounding off the right-side ropes. Thugg bounces off the ropes, but then returns and drops Axis to the canvas with a solid shoulder block. HVT then steps over Axis and bounces off the left-side ropes as Axis quickly gets to his feet. HVT comes barreling in and Axis ducks a clothesline and Thugg's momentum carries him to the right-side ropes, where he bounces off, runs at Axis, and is slammed to the canvas with a nicely executed Powerslam!

 

<Curry> Some uncharacteristic high paced action from these traditional sluggers. I'm not sure who this style favors in the match, although I'm sure they won't be able to keep it up for much longer. There's almost 800 pounds of weight in that ring.

 

<NTD> Well, I don't know about Axis, but Thugg's type of game is slow destruction. He's gonna need to slow things down to his pace.

 

<Curry> You're probably right about that NTD. I think Axis needs to do the same though. While I'm sure he's a little more agile than the Thugg, he's not gonna beat anyone with his blazing speed.

 

<NTD> So it's settled then? Both these guys are so slow, they would lose a race to a one-legged, 300 pound, 75 year old Malaysian woman with asthma?

 

<Curry> I wouldn't go quite that far...

 

<NTD> Dude. It was a joke. I was trying to be funny.

 

<Curry> A word to the wise...don't make jokes. You aren't funny!

 

<NTD> That's not what your mom told me last night.

 

<Curry> Actually, that IS what she told you! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

 

<NTD> (pouting) Shut up!

 

<Curry> Oooooo! The burn!

 

While NTD and Curry bicker, Axis is up and lifting Thugg who is still recovering from that Powerslam. Axis pushes Thugg against the left-side ropes and then whips him to the right-side ropes. HVT bounces off those ropes and is knocked down by a stiff clothesline from Axis as the crowd gives a decent sized pop.

 

<Curry> Axis with the clothesline. The challenger is in control thus far, but this match is far from over.

 

HVT gets to his feet, but he is met with hard right hands that send him staggering back towards the corner. Axis pushes him back into the near right corner and then delivers another hard punch to the champs head. Axis spreads Thugg's arms across the top rope and then delivers a hard knife-edge chop to his chest.

 

<Crowd> Oooooo!

 

Another chop.

 

<Crowd> Oooooo!

 

<Curry> Axis with those hard chops to Thugg's chest.

 

HVT cringes with every chop and then is whipped across the ring to the far left ropes where he slams into the turnbuckle back first. Axis runs in, presumably for a splash, but is met with a boot to the face from HVT. The boot staggers the 300-pounder and makes him turn away from Thugg, who rests in the corner for a moment. When Axis turns around to face him, Thugg runs out of the corner and drops him with a clothesline of his own.

 

<NTD> And back comes the champ! He can feel the momentum shifting, and now Thugg's gonna take the fight to Axis.

 

<Curry> Thugg with a clothesline of his own, and he's put a temporary halt to Axis's early match domination.

 

It doesn't take long for Axis to get back to his feet, but Thugg is also quick to get on Axis with punches. After several staggering right hands, Axis backs up to the far ropes, and is then whipped to the near ropes. Axis rebounds off the ropes and runs at Thugg, who bends down and sends Axis up in the air and back down to the canvas with a Back Body Drop!

 

<Curry> Nice Back Body Drop from the Thugg there.

 

While Axis is down, HVT quickly straddles him and begins to pummel him with mounted punches to the head. After the head pounding, HVT stands up and lifts Axis to his feet. Once standing, HVT whips Axis to the left-side ropes, where Axis bounces off and returns full tilt towards HVT. Once Axis is upon him, HVT stands to the side, sticks his right leg out, and drives his thigh into Axis's stomach, flipping him over and down to the canvas holding his stomach.

 

<Curry> And just like we saw Axis a few minutes ago, Thugg is completely controlling this match right now. But he better not let up because it only takes a moment for Axis to capitalize.

 

<NTD> You know, I really like it when these two face each other. They really put on a good show and it's always fun to watch.

 

<Curry> I couldn't agree more.

 

Silence from the announce table...

 

<Curry> Whoa.

 

<NTD> That was weird.

 

Inside the ring, HVT stands above Axis and drops a knee into his chest, followed by a second knee. Then, HVT backs up and bounces off the left-side ropes, and then drops an elbow onto Axis's torso. Axis cringes in pain, but HVT lifts him to his feet anyway, and applies a front face lock to the ICTV champ. After a small strain, HVT as Axis completely vertical, and then HVT falls backwards, dropping Axis on his back with a standard Suplex.

 

<Curry> Nice Suplex from the champ. What I find interesting so far is that the Thugg has been using some very technical wrestling. Given his brawling style, Thugg is definitely not known for his technical wrestling ability.

 

<NTD> Come on...Thugg beings brilliant technical wrestler.

 

<Curry> I am so sick of people using that crappy quote from Goro! Anyway...now it looks like Thugg is looking to make his exit!

 

Sure enough, following the textbook Suplex, HVT quickly looks around the ring, and then makes his way towards the far left corner. Once there, HVT climbs to the top rope, and then begins to scale the cage as the crowd boos him. Axis stands up holding his back, and sees HVT climbing the cage in all his 450 pound glory. Axis immediately forgets the pain and runs over to the far left corner and slams a forearm into Thugg's back, stopping his progress.

 

<Curry> But Axis isn't having it. At least not yet.

 

HVT stops halfway up the cage and then begins to look to come down from the cage. As HVT finds his footing on the top rope, completely vulnerable, Axis takes advantage. Axis reaches up and locks on a Full Nelson on the big man and then pulls him off his perch. As HVT plummets towards the canvas, Axis releases one arm and then slams HVT to the mat with a hard Sambo Suplex!

 

<Curry> Dissention! Axis with his signature Sambo Suplex on Thugg from the top rope! The tide could be changing here.

 

<NTD> I must admit, I've always like that move. Very powerful, but I'm not sure it hurt Thugg all that much...with him being a huge monster and all.

 

However, NTD is very wrong because HVT now lies on the canvas, near the far ropes, holding and arching his back in pain. Axis doesn't let him rest of a minute and is immediately on him with stomps to any exposed region of Thugg's body. After several stomps, Axis backs off and wipes his brow. He lifts HVT to his feet, and the violently places the champ in a standing head scissors while facing the far ropes.

 

<Curry> WAIT!! Axis is going for it all right here!! He's going for the Factor Bomb!!

 

Axis reaches down around HVT's waist and then tries to lift Thugg. However, Thugg doesn't budge and instead pushes Axis down to his back, and while Axis falls down, HVT stands up and grabs Axis's legs. With Axis on his back and his airborne legs in Thugg's grasp, HVT stands over him. HVT then falls backwards and down to the canvas, and the motion acts like a pulley that shoots Axis up off the mat and into the air, where Axis swings his arms wildly before smashing his head into the steel cage!

 

<NTD> Counter by Thugg!

 

<Curry> Nice counter by the champ, shooting Axis's head into the steel. Did you hear that sound of bone on steel? It's gut wrenching.

 

The cage rattles from the impact and Axis falls back to the mat and holds his head in excruciating pain. HVT stands to his feet and then begins to stomp Axis's damaged head. HVT quickly gets Axis to his feet, walks a few feet towards the far ropes, and then launches Axis head-first into the steel again!

 

<Curry> And again, bone meets steel!!

 

<NTD> And you know, when bone meets steel, steel always wins.

 

Axis's head bounces off the steel and he falls to the canvas holding his head again. HVT quickly grabs him and forces him to crawl back over to the far ropes where HVT gets him to his feet again. HVT then proceeds to slam Axis's head into the steel cage repeatedly.

 

<Curry> And now Thugg's using that steel cage as a weapon.

 

<NTD> And it's perfectly legal.

 

After slamming Axis's head repeated into the steel, HVT lets him go, and Axis falls to his knees holding his head. HVT screams at Axis and slaps him in the back of the head.

 

<Curry> And now Thugg's taunting Axis. What a great display of sportsmanship from Thugg.

 

After a second slap to the back of the head, HVT places Axis's head on the bottom ropes and then places his knee onto the back of Axis's neck, choking the ICTV champ on the bottom rope. After a few moments of choking his opponent, HVT releases and Axis rolls on the canvas holding his neck and tries to regain his breathing.

 

<Curry> Thugg is completely dominating Axis right now.

 

<NTD> Yes he is, and if Axis doesn't do something soon, this is going to be a very quick match.

 

HVT gets in Axis's face and begins to scream so obscenities at him before grabbing him by the hair and lifting him to his feet. HVT kicks Axis in the stomach, doubling Axis, and places him in a front face lock. HVT looks out to the crowd and has some words for the Bradley Center crowd. However, Axis uses Thugg's cockiness against him as he uses the power in his legs to push HVT all the way across the ring to the near right corner. HVT's back slams against the turnbuckle and Axis drives his shoulder into Thugg's abdomen.

 

<Curry> And back comes Axis!!

 

Axis backs out of the corner, and then drives his shoulder into Thugg's stomach again...and again...and again!

 

<Curry> Axis with shoulders to Thugg's stomach, taking the wind out of the champion!

 

<NTD> Well, it doesn't look like Axis is going to just lie down. He's taking the fight to Thugg and won't be giving up without a fight.

 

Axis gets HVT up to a seated position on the top rope, and then climbs up the second turnbuckle. Before Axis can make his move, HVT drops a forearm to Axis's back, halting whatever offensive maneuver he was going for. However, Axis is determined, and he reaches up and punches HVT several times in the face. Axis, standing on the second rope, places HVT in a front facelock as the crowd rallies behind him.

 

<Curry> Here's a high risk maneuver from the challenger.

 

Axis, while holding Thugg, climbs up to the top rope, forcing HVT to stand atop those same ropes. The crowd's cheers halt as HVT punches Axis in the stomach, and then wraps his hands around Axis's throat before throwing him nearly halfway across the ring from off the top turnbuckle.

 

<NTD> Counter by Thugg!

 

<Curry> Did you see how far Thugg threw Axis?!?

 

HVT shakes off the pain and then turns to scale the cage. The fans boo as HVT gets halfway up the cage, but Axis is up and moves over to where HVT is trying to escape. HVT's hands have reaches the top, but as he attempts to pull himself up, Axis runs over and climbs the turnbuckle. Once he is atop the turnbuckle, Axis hits Thugg with a forearm to the back, and then stands up between Thugg's legs, forcing Thugg onto his shoulders.

 

<Curry> Uh oh! Thugg is in trouble!

 

Axis yanks back, forcing HVT to release his grasp on the top of the cage. Also, the yank back forces Axis to fall straight backwards off the turnbuckle, which in turn, causes HVT to fall backwards as well. They plummet towards the canvas and then.....BAM!!! HVT and Axis crash to the canvas with an Electric Chair Drop from the rope!!

 

<Curry> WHOA!! What a move!! Axis may have broken Thugg's back with that move!!

 

<NTD> But I think Axis took some of the impact as well.

 

Both men lay on the canvas with their backs in pain as the crowd cheers the high impact move. After several moments, both men start to rise. Axis is up first, but is followed closely by a weary Thugg. HVT runs at Axis, who's back is to the near ropes, but Axis seizes the advantage by grabbing Thugg with a two handed choke, lifting him into the air, and then slamming him to the mat with a powerbomb (Baldo Bomb)!!!

 

<Curry> What impact!!! What a powerbomb from Axis!!!

 

<NTD> The champ is in trouble now! Axis could make his move.

 

With the crowd cheering, Axis looks around and then heads straight for the near ropes, where he begins scaling the cage.

 

<Curry> Axis is heading out!! We could see a new champ right here!!

 

Axis gets halfway up the cage when HVT staggers up all fours and sees Axis climbing the cage. HVT crawls over to the near ropes, and then reaches up and grabs Axis's left leg. A hard pull on the challenger's leg forces Axis's legs off the cage. Much to the crowd's chagrin, Axis releases his grip on the cage and falls down onto the top rope!!!

 

<Curry> OH!!! Axis just straddled the top rope!!!

 

<NTD> Now that could be good for society!! No little Aussies running around here!!

 

Axis's face cringes as he sits atop the rope for a moment, and then he falls back into the ring not far from where HVT is on all fours, still reeling from the powerbomb. HVT gets to his feet while Axis is on the ground holding his groin, and then HVT begins to stomp him.

 

<Curry> And now the champ is back on the offensive.

 

HVT lifts a exhausted Axis from the canvas and pushes him to the near left corner, where he whips Axis across the ring to the far right corner. After Axis slams against the turnbuckle, HVT runs in and crashes into Axis's body, sandwiching him against the turnbuckle.

 

<Curry> OH! That's 450 pounds of force slamming into Axis there!

 

Following the splash, HVT grabs Axis and whips him back to the near left corner. HVT sprints across the ring again, and then slams into Axis with another splash! Axis leans against the turnbuckle as HVT backs up and wipes his brow. HVT grabs Axis and out of the corner for what looks like another whip, but instead, short arms him and slams Axis back into the corner.

 

<NTD> And this is why Thugg is the champ! He's taking it to Axis right now and wearing him down.

 

<Curry> Thugg's gonna have to completely incapacitate Axis if he wants to escape this cage though.

 

HVT delivers a back elbow to Axis's head, followed by a hard punch to the side of his head. HVT then grabs Axis, pulls him out of the corner, pushes him against the near ropes, and whips him across the ring. Axis bounces off the far ropes, and is then dropped by a Big Boot to the face.

 

<Curry> And Thugg with that huge boot to the face! What impact!! I heard that smack all the way over here.

 

Axis crumples to the mat following the boot the face, and HVT stands off the side cracking his knuckles. As HVT places his hand out, readying himself for his next high impact move, Axis begins to drag himself off the canvas.

 

<Curry> Wait a sec!! It looks like Thugg is preparing for the knock out blow!

 

<NTD> HELL YEAH!! We're gonna get to see the great Untamed!

 

Once Axis has staggered up, he turns around to face Thugg and is met with a one handed choke. The crowd heats the air with boos, but they quickly turns to cheers when Axis grabs Thugg's arm, pulls it off, and then forces Thugg to the canvas with......the ARMLOCK SUBMISSION!!!

 

<Curry> ARMLOCK!!! AXIS WITH THAT VERY PAINFUL ARMLOCK SUBMISSION!!!

 

<NTD> Pfft. He can't win that way! He can't win on a submission! Boy, Axis isn't that bright...but he is from Australia, so...

 

<Curry> He doesn't have to win with the move, but he could keep Thugg down long enough to escape the cage. Besides, how can Thugg climb the cage with only one working arm?

 

The crowd cheers the painful submission as HVT screams out in pain, and Axis screams with rage.

 

<Curry> Thugg's arm is gonna snap!! Axis is going to break his arm!

 

After several minutes, Axis releases the hold, realizing he can't win that way. However, he does believe that he has taken enough out of HVT to make his escape, and he moves over to the far left corner and begins to scale the cage.

 

<Curry> And he's going out!! Axis is making his escape! Can Thugg gather up enough energy to stop him?

 

Axis gets halfway up the cage when, again, HVT stumbles up to his feet, holding his left arm in pain. HVT staggers over to the far left corner, reaches up, and grabs Axis by the back of his pants.

 

<NTD> Thugg's up!! He's not going to let Axis win that easy!

 

<Curry> But does Thugg have enough to stop him. His arm has to be hurting after the ArmLock submission.

 

Axis looks down at Thugg, and then starts to kick at him, trying to force him to release the grasp on his pants. At this point, HVT is standing on the second rope and Axis is halfway up the cage. The crowd lets out a great cheer as Axis connects with a kick, forcing Thugg to release his grasp and fall back first to the canvas. On the cage, Axis turns around and faces the inside of the ring. He looks around at the crowd, who encourage him to do it, and then leaps into the air, pointing his elbow downward. Axis plummets straight towards Thugg..........WHAM!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

<Curry> THUGG ROLLED OUT OF THE WAY!! AXIS MISSED!!

 

<NTD> Not smart! Not smart at all.

 

HVT rolls a few feet to the left and Axis lands elbow first on the canvas! Axis holds his right elbow and rolls around in pain as HVT rests on one knee. HVT gets to his feet, and Axis does the same, but holding his elbow. Axis staggers about for a bit, and walks right into HVT's grasp, who pulls him to the side and slams him to the mat with a Sidewalk Slam.

 

<Curry> Nice Sidewalk Slam from the champion. That high risk move from Axis may have cost him in a big way.

 

Axis lies rather motionless on the canvas before HVT grabs him and lifts him to his feet. A whip sends Axis to the far ropes, and then he comes back, he becomes the victim of the huge Powerslam from HVT!!

 

<Curry> Huge Powerslam from Thugg!! Axis is hurt, and the champ needs to take advantage.

 

<NTD> After a match this long, both men have got to be exhausted. It may be too late for Axis with Thugg in control right now.

 

Thugg sees his opportunity now, and slowly makes his way to the near ropes. Physically beaten and exhausted, Thugg takes his time before starting to climb the cage. After a few moments, Thugg begins his ascension of the cage as the fans yell for Axis to get up.

 

<Curry> Thugg's going to make a run for it!! He's trying to climb out of the cage.

 

<NTD> GO THUGG!! Move faster!

 

<Curry> He's obviously hurting right now. Thugg's arm is in a lot of pain and it's making his climb very slow.

 

HVT, doing most of the climbing with one arm, starts slowly up the cage. When he reaches about the halfway point, Axis begins to slowly get to his feet as the fans cheer him on. Once up, Axis stumbles a bit before heading over to the near ropes, where HVT is three quarters of the way up the cage. Axis, with 2 good arms, begins to climb the cage to the left of Thugg.

 

<Curry> WAIT!! AXIS IS UP AND HE'S CLIMBING THE CAGE!

 

<NTD> It's a race!!

 

<Curry> Thugg's got that injured arm. Axis is gaining ground on him!

 

After much cheering and climbing, Axis reaches the same height as HVT near the top of the cage. HVT sees him and throws a punch that connects, nearly knocking Axis off the cage. The crowd ooos as Axis swings out from the blow, but then the challenger comes back in with a punch of his own.

 

<Curry> BY GOD! They're fighting on the side of the steel cage! Both these men want this so bad. They'll do anything to be the first out of the cage.

 

After exchanging a few labored punches, Axis gains the advantage and connects with 3 consecutive punches. Then, Axis reaches over and wraps his arm around Thugg's face. Then, a hard pull sends them both flying off the cage, and Thugg's head slams hard to the canvas, while Axis's back crashes hard as well.

 

<Curry> HOLY ****!!! INVERTED DDT!! FROM THE CAGE!!! THUGG MAY BE DEAD!!

 

<NTD> WHAT A MOVE!!! Oh, but Axis took some of that impact as well!

 

HVT immediately grabs his head and rolls onto his stomach while Axis arches and grabs his back in pain.

 

<Curry> I don't know who hurts more!! Thugg, who's head was just driven into the canvas, or Axis, who's back came down hard as well.

 

<NTD> Axis, with that high impact Inverted DDT, did some serious damage to Thugg, but he also took a serious blow to the back.

 

Both men are down as the crowd cheers like crazy from the off the cage move. After a while, Axis starts to get up, but staggers all the way back to the far ropes. Axis rests on the ropes for a minute, while HVT starts to stir while holding his head. The crowd is really on the edge of their seats as HVT gets to all fours, still holding his head.

 

<Curry> They're both moving, but they are both beaten, weary men.

 

<NTD> Whoever can score the next big hit will probably walk out of here with the world championship.

 

With HVT still on all fours, Axis stumbles over towards him, and once he's there, he places Thugg's head between his legs. The fans cheer as Axis pulls HVT to his feet, keeping him in the standing head scissors.

 

<Curry> This could be big!

 

Axis reaches deep down into his soul and pulls HVT up for a powerbomb. Axis has to take a couple of steps back to hold HVT up for a moment before Powerbombing him right onto his knee!!! HVT's head bounces off of Axis's knee and then he lies face down on the canvas, motionless from the Powerbomb into a Facebuster!!

 

<Curry> FACTOR BOMB!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? AXIS JUST SCORED THE DEVASTATING FACTOR BOMB ON THE HVILLE THUGG!!!

 

<NTD> OH MY GOD!!!

 

<Curry> Axis is going to walk out of here as the IGNWF Champion!!! All he has to do is climb out!

 

After executing his finisher, Axis falls back down to one knee and rests there for a moment. The fans are out of control, literally tearing the roof off the Bradley Center with cheers for Axis. Axis finally makes it to his feet, but still seems a bit dazed as he walks over to the cage door. As Axis moves to open it, the referee on the outside informs him that he must climb over the top.

 

<NTD> What is Axis doing?? He can't leave through the cage door.

 

<Curry> Axis is completely out of it...but Thugg is dead!

 

Axis first tries to shake the cobwebs loose, and then begins to scale the cage at the door. Slowly, one foot after the other, Axis climbs up the cage door, and then above the door as the fans cheer as loudly as they have all night.

 

<Curry> He's gonna make it!! Thugg hasn't even moved! There is no one to stop Axis from escaping the cage and finally realizing his dream of becoming World Heavyweight Champion.

 

When Axis reaches the top of the cage and starts to turn around to climb down, the cheers from the crowd turns to hate-filled boos. The camera swings up to the ramp and shows a Kendo Stick-wielding X running down the ramp!

 

<Curry> WAIT A SECOND!!! THAT'S X!! THUGG'S PARTNER IN CRIME IS RUNNING DOWN HERE, AND HE'S GOT THAT DAMN KENDO STICK!!

 

<NTD> This isn't gonna be good for Axis. Last time we saw that Kendo Stick, it had just laid out Chris Wilson at Ashes to Ashes.

 

X runs through the sea of boos and reaches the ring as Axis it attempting to climb down the cage. X sees Axis climbing just above the cage door, so he unlatches and opens the cage door.

 

<Curry> X has opened the cage door! Axis has no where to put his feet.

 

While Axis tries to find his next foothold (that doesn't exist), X rears back and crack the Kendo Stick on Axis's back.

 

<Curry> THAT SON OF A BITCH JUST HIT AXIS WITH THAT KENDO STICK!!! WHAT A BASTARD!!

 

Axis stops climbing down with his legs dangling in the cage entrance. X gives him another hard shot to the back with the Kendo Stick as the crowd calls out for the Bastard Son's blood. X grabs Axis's legs and swings them into the cage, forcing Axis to release his hold on the cage. However, Axis's momentum carries his legs into the cage, between the bottom and middle rope. With the upper half of Axis's body hanging out the cage door, X shatters the Kendo Stick on Axis's back, and then shoves him all the way back into the ring.

 

<Curry> WHAT A CHEATING BASTARD!! HE JUST COST AXIS THE WORLD TITLE!!

 

<NTD> HMPH!! That's just payback for Axis interfering in X's match earlier with Mistress Sarah!

 

Axis, pretty much out of it, tries to crawl out the cage door, but meets only steel to his head as X slams the door on his head!

 

<Curry> THIS JUST ISN'T RIGHT!!! SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS!! AXIS SHOULD BE CHAMPION IF IT WERE NOT FOR THAT BASTARD X!!

 

<NTD> Hey...cage matches are no DQ...so anything goes!

 

Axis holds his head, and then tries to get to his feet. Realizing he has just been screwed, he gets up and shouts some words to X. However, Axis backs up and turns around, walking right into a one handed choke from HVT!!!

 

<Curry> WAIT!!!

 

<NTD> That's your ass!

 

HVT lifts Axis up with one hand, does his patented 360 degree turn, and then slams Axis to the canvas with a hard spinning chokeslam!!!

 

<NTD> UNTAMED!!! UNTAMED CHOKESLAM!!!

 

<Curry> SON OF A BITCH!!! THUGG JUST HIT AXIS WITH THAT GODDAMN UNTAMED!!! THIS JUST ISN'T RIGHT!!

 

The Untamed was all the energy Thugg could muster up as he goes back down to the ground following the maneuver.

 

Outside the cage, X cheers his running buddy's finisher. However, in his celebration, he doesn't hear the cheers from the crowd and when we get a shot of the ramp, we see......

<Curry> IT'S MISTRESS SARAH!!!

 

<NTD> What's that ***** doing coming down here? This doesn't concern her at all!

 

<Curry> She's come down to get herself another piece of X. She's not done with the Bastard Son!

 

Sarah runs through a plethora of cheers, and when she approaches X, she delivers a forearm to the face that knocks X back against the crowd barrier. She jumps back up and then begins to destroy X with stomps and kicks as the crowd goes absolutely wild.

 

<Curry> Sarah...taking it to X!! X is getting what he deserves by the hand of Mistress Sarah!

 

HVT finally makes it to his feet, with Axis still down. HVT, looking very weary, doesn't even notice the fight on the outside, but instead, goes immediately for the near ropes and looks to climb the cage. Meanwhile, Sarah feels confident in destroying X and she goes under the ring and finds a medium sized steel rod.

 

<NTD> OH ****!! Sarah's got a weapon! She's gonna bash X's skull in with that steel rod!

 

<Curry> And he still wouldn't get all that he deserves!

 

Everyone thinks Sarah is going to hit X with the weapon, but instead, she walks around to the front of the ring and sees HVT preparing to make his climb. When HVT grasps the cage, Sarah strikes the cage with the steel rod.

 

CLANG!!!

 

<Curry> WAIT!! SARAH'S GOING AFTER THUGG!! SHE'S NOT GOING TO LET HIM ESCAPE! SHE'S NOT GOING TO LET HIM WIN LIKE THIS!

 

<NTD> You see...it's just like a woman to meddle in someone else's affairs.

 

HVT glares out surprisingly at Sarah, and then makes another attempt at the cage.

 

CLANG!

 

Thugg rears his hands back as to not have his fingers broken. The fans seem elated, but, that soon changes. <Curry> But would King help Thugg?? He hates Thugg for leaving the IGNWO!

 

Through the massive heat, King runs down the ramp.

 

<NTD> Duh...because Thugg promised to help him get to the PPV Main Event!

 

Sarah is still oblivious to King's presence, that is until she sees the huge grin on Thugg's face. However, she isn't even given the opportunity to turn around before King locks in a half nelson and drives Sarah's face to the floor with a well timed Half Nelson Forward Russian Leg Sweep!!!

 

<Curry> NO!!!! JOKER'S WILD!!! THE SUICIDE KING JUST HIT THE JOKER'S WILD ON MISTRESS SARAH...RIGHT ON THE FLOOR!!!

 

<NTD> NOW!! Someone finally gave that ***** what she deserves!!

 

The crowd is ready to riot as King backs away from a near dead Sarah. King backs up the ramp, and as he an HVT lock eyes, King motions to his waist signaling that he wants his shot. As King disappears up the ramp, HVT realizes his opportunity and begins to slowly climb the cage on the near side.

 

<Curry> I can't belive Thugg is going to win like this!! This is not right!!

 

<NTD> All's fair in this business!

 

After slow deliberation, Thugg gets to the halfway point of the cage, and continues to climb, despite the crowd's heat. Thugg keeps climbing until he gets almost to the top. The fans burst into cheers as....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

......AXIS IS UP!!!

 

<Curry> AXIS UP!!! HE'S UP!!! HE'S GOING AFTER THUGG!!!

Axis has staggered to his feet and is at the near side of the cage. With HVT trying to pull himself up to the top of the cage, Axis starts to climb. Realizing that he must hurry, Axis moves rather quickly up the cage.

 

<Curry> IT'S A RACE!! THUGG'S IN THE LEAD, BUT AXIS IS GAINING!

 

As HVT reaches the top and begins to pull himself over to begin his descent, Axis is close. HVT makes the turn, but Axis is on the top ledge now. HVT looks up and sees Axis, but his attempt to get down is foiled as Axis reaches out and grabs Thugg's arm!!

 

<Curry> HE'S GOT HIM!! AXIS CAUGHT THE HVILLE THUGG!!! WHAT DETERMINATION FROM AXIS!

 

HVT looks down, but it's too late. Axis pulls as hard as he can, and the torque on Thugg's already hurt arm is too much, forcing the big man to start back up the cage!

 

<Curry> He's pulling Thugg back up!!!

 

<NTD> DAMMIT!! He was so freaking close!

 

After a moment, Thugg is back at the top, but his body is still poised to go back down the outside of the cage. Axis punches Thugg while they both knees gingerly on the ledge atop the cage. However, Axis is oblivious to the boos from the crowd as X is almost at the top of the cage!!

 

<Curry> WAIT A SECOND! X IS ON TOP OF THE CAGE TOO!! GODDAMMIT!!! X IS NOT IN THE MATCH!! HE CAN'T BE UP THERE!

 

<NTD> SURE HE CAN! IT'S NO DQ...HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS.

 

Axis delivers another punch to HVT and then tries to pull Thugg back into the ring. However, at this point, X has made his way over to the action and is also on top of the cage. His smaller and more agile frame can stand on the cage.

 

<Curry> AXIS!! LOOK OUT!!!

 

Axis looks up from his kneeling position, but it's too late!! X grabs his head and leaps off the cage into the ring. Axis and X go falling...

<Curry> THIS IS WRONG!! X MAY HAVE KILLED AXIS!!! AND THE HVILLE THUGG IS GOING GET ANOTHER TAINTED WIN!!!

 

Axis is pretty much dead in the ring, as is X, while HVT is still perched atop the cage. With his adversary lifeless, HVT begins down the outside of the cage. Down he goes...

HVT immediately drops to one knee to rest for a moment before going to the cage door and pulling his friend out. The crowd is nearly rushing the ring, but being restrained by the increased security. They scream obscene things at the evil duo and then begin to throw debris towards ringside.

 

<NTD> All I have to say is wow! What a match!

 

<Curry> You bastard!! Can't you see what's happened here?!? X has cost Axis the world title! This is not right!

 

HVT and X stumble up the ramp, where HVT holds his title in the air as he nearly falls over backwards. The crowd is irate as "Who We Be" hits the speakers.

 

<Curry> This victory can't stand!! Axis has been screwed by X! The Suicide King made his presence felt as Thugg's insurance!!! This is wrong!! Just plain wrong!

 

<NTD> I'm happy.

 

<Curry> Will this victory stand up on IGNite?? What will Stubby have to say about it?? Will Axis get his hands on X for screwing him? OH THIS IS TOO MUCH!!!

 

A final shot of the fans showing their hatred for the thugs of the IGNWF is shown until the scene cuts to black...
