Ooooh good point.

Ah well, I would rather have Biker Taker than Satanic Taker.

If Taker comes back as the biker, they are going to have some very pissed off fans.

Put Russo and Steph up there while you're at it, for all their crimes against wrestling fans.

Well, he can't perform at the level of the "Deadman" Taker. He's broken down and old, remember? I'd rather he return as the grease monkey/biker Taker character.

OK just got hom from work and watched Smackdown and a few random thoughts:

1) I love Team Angle in a manly sorta way.

2) Signing the WCW 4 was quite possibly Vince's last great decision.

3) Tonight's match reaffirmed why I like watching Tajiri wrestle and kick the crap outta people.

4) Is it just me, or is Heyman kinda using the whole Dawn Marie/Love Machine thing to kinda make fun of Vince constantly having all the new young hooch at one time or another come on to him?

5) After tonight's TE, if I were Brock I woulda dropped Holly on his head too. Wrestling is about trusting the other person in the ring and Bob wouldn't inspire me to put my well-being in his hands.

1) Agreed.

2) Agreed, except they botched Perry Saturn's handling pretty bad, and shame Dean-o retired.

3) Indeed....Jamie-san still rules, mask or no, no WWE style or WWE-style. I miss Tajiri as a nasty evil dickish heel, but it's better him as a face with no promos or anything than being a jobber.

4) It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't eating up so much damn time. At least it was minimal tonight.

5) Agreed. Bob Holly is a bitter fuckhead who should have learned a lesson from that. He's gonna likely stiff the wrong person in a ring one of these days. Then he'll deserve every fucking break or tear he gets.

Can someone tell me who was in the 6 man tag on TE?

There was a 10 Man Tag:

Jonah, Matt, John, Jamie, Eric

Vs

Maven, Chris N, Nidia, Jackie, Linda

Team TE 3 won after Jamie pinned her "Crush" Maven....

Then there was also an 8 Man Tag, but I don't remember the Teams...All I know is that Bob Holly came off as a Dick and beat the Piss out of Matt. Poor Guy....

Holly is a dick.

But whats up with that dude throwing a fit over a black eye and busted lip. My friends and I box all the time and injuries like that are nothing. If I was him I would have shaken Holly's hand and said thank you for working stiff with me.

I'm glad the kid shook it off in the end, but why in the hell did he brake down crying the next day because in wrestling people are going to stiff you all the time, I now question his mental toughness. If he would have kept his act up I would have called him a putrid pussy and no one wants to be called a putrid pussy.

And why are they showing something from Raw on Smackdown? It just seems totally out of place.

Ummm...they always do that. They did it last month for the HBK/HHH match at Armageddon.

Damn, first Matty crying, then DeMott. (or near to it) I almost teared up.....almost.

I know. I just hate that. I guess I just prefer if they tried to keep both show separate. I try to view them as different "brands" and seeing Triple H on a commercial during Smackdown, or, conversely, Kurt Angle for one during Raw always annoys me. I am unsure why.

There is a difference between working stiff and using the training as an excuse to beat the shit out of a kid. They dealt with DeMott all season so they understand that some stuff hurts and if they screw up they will be punished. But they were also preached to about protecting your opponent in there so I understand why he was shocked and pissed off considering how he was treated.

And i have a real problem with all of this, "You paid your dues by getting your ass kicked, they will respect you now" shit. To be accepted as one of the guys you have to let someone beat you up and take it without getting pissed off. That is crap. It is a disgrace that Holly took advantage of that position he was in knowing that he had free reign to beat the hell out of this kid knowing that if he showed any ill will towards him he would be booted from the show at the next vote. Working stiff is one thing in the context of a match. Teeing off on a kid with about two months in the ring is absurd.

I agree Holly is a dick but my point is so are many guys in this business and you must take it better than Matt did. I still don't understand why he broke down the next day, I question how mentally tough he is.

I know he will take real shots like that at some point and that he will have to learn to deal with it. But I would imagine he was in a state of shock after what happened. I doubt that he expected after all of the protect your opponent speeches he was given that in a match involving his trainers they would watch as someone laid into him like that with little regard for his well being and having to accept it. Given a different time and place maybe he accepts the fact that things like that happen in the business, but I doubt he expected anything like that to happen during one of their matches with the trainers watching.

I will say one thing. Matt showed a hell of a lot more restraint than I would have. If Holly had legit kicked me in the face and busted me open and given me a black eye after all the "safety first" talks they've been given I would have either legit cracked him upside the head with a forearm or kicked him in the nuts and tagged out. One of his chops or if his drop kick had ACCIDENTALLY gotten high and hit fine, things like that happen. He looked like he wanted to injure Matt to show him "what wrestling was all about".

If Holly comes back from the neck injury that bitter old bastard oughta be made to go back to being Sparky Plugg until he learns that professional wrestling is not about taking advantage of youngsters and beating the shit out of them, but being entertaining for the audience.

I do agree with you guys when you say Holly was out of line.

Holly broke the cardinal sin on wrestling, if you want to stiff someone fine but always do it above their jaw, on their forehead. By punching or kicking someone in their jaw you are just asking for retaliation.

Fuck Bob Holly. I hope he felt like a man there, because a few months later he tried that shit with a Young, Green rookie named Brock Lesnar and we all know what happen there. Karma MotherFucker!

btw, I have a weird feeling the Undertaker is coming back as a Gothic Sting like Character.

As has already been touched upon, Holly got his when he tried to act the hard man with someone who could kick seven shades of shite out of him on a whim.

Candie, good point about Taker. If they don't bring him back as Dead Man Taker, I'll be *pissed* as all the rest of the fans in Boston.

Nah Holly just likes to think he is legitimatley tough I think hence him stiffing anyone smaller than him (see also Shaw Brad)

Words cannot describe how benoit totally made Sheldon Benjamin tonight. I loved that match. I want 15 minutes more of that match.

I know this is a late reply, but how did he "make" Shelton when Shelton did most of the offense in that match?

I think both Hass and Benjamin were great on Smackdown.

Because he sold his moves and made them (and thus Shelton) look credible, something other faces would not be able or not be willing to do.
