Guest Anglesault Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 No problem with the feud at all. Hell, I don't even really have any major problems with Benoit getting the mic for short periods of time to get the point across. I do have a proble with that happening too often or people trying to claim it was any good. And the Fall feud sucked. The matches were good, but they were bubmling midcarders. Now they are competant world title contenders.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I don't know if it was the fact that he was stealing one of Rock's lesser-catchphrases, or that the delivery was bad, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. Not ALL of his promos have been bad. His "all my life I've worked to be WWE Champion" wasn't bad, but if he KEEPS using it, boredom shall ensue.
Guest The Hamburglar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Be quiet, Benoit's obviously the best promo guy ever. That hype video he has in no way looks like he is attempting to give a world-class blow-job with his mouth wide open. His gap-toothed grin is not unsettling at all. Shame on you.

And nobody spouted off that it was the best thing ever either. Be quiet, Benoit's obviously the best promo guy ever. Who the hell said THAT? I don't know what the hell you're trying to talk about, but if it's about the video for his theme, that was back in September, almost half a year ago. How it's relevant to anything going on now I'll never know.
Guest The Hamburglar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Its not my fault that it keeps getting shown here in Britain. Its hilarious. Amd you're just jealous of Benoit's silver-tongued eloquence.

And no, I wasn't interested in that show at all for whatever reason. I watched High School Renuion and Surreal World. Yes, I don't know how I made it either. I'm beginning to think that this is too little too late, unfortunately. After six months ina row of shit, they are finally showing good stuff, and I'm just not as interested anymore.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Hamburgler: Much like Incandenza does, you should occasionally post a picture of... That will ALWAYS lighten up an argument and bring a smile to one's face!
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 It was still bad. Just the delivery of "Tick tock...tick tock...Angle...that's how...that's the time of length you have for your WWE Title reign" It WAS bad.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I'm not as much argumentative right now as confused. Anyway, back to the topic, if Eddie can find a way for his gimmick to be a compliment rather than a midcard anchor, then 2003 can be his year. It won't happen if he keeps screwing around with Cena and that other guy. "Tick tock...tick tock...Angle...that's how...that's the time of length you have for your WWE Title reign" That would be bad if that was actually what he said.
Guest CanadianChick Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 About the Benoit promo: It wasn't great, but it got the point across. And it wasn't long, only 20 seconds. I don't see the point about complaining about a 20 second promo done by anybody, with few exceptions.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Yes, I know those weren't his exact words. But the delivery still caused me to cringe. Therefore, making it cringe-worthy.
Guest Banky Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Eddie and Chavo will drop the straps at Rumble, then I assume he is in line for a singles push. And to touch on Anglesault's first comment, the fans HAVE always enjoyed Eddie's work. He is someone people love to give a reaction to. Also, the fact he can work any style, including the highspot-happy, crowd pleasing style ala Ladder Match (RVD) and No DQ ( Edge) will get him over big time. He was getting great reactions during the Edge match on Smackdown.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Well, I don't think Vanilla Twice is ready JUST YET for the tag titles. Maybe have Los Guerreros win at the Rumble, and then have them lose at No Way Out after Cena cheats or something.

Maybe have Los Guerreros win at the Rumble, and then have them lose at No Way Out after Cena cheats or something. Well if they are seriously going to push Eddie (which might not even be the case) they'd have to get those Tag Titles off of him immediatly. They could work an angle with Eddie getting pinned at the Rumble and Chavo getting upset over it. Then, have a Chavo vs. Eddie match at No Way Out where Eddie will win and move onto an upper card match at Wrestlemania.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I'm all for that idea as long as they build a solid tag division. Los Guerreros are obviously the Gods currently, but after Cena and B2 take the titles, who's left?

Los Guerreros are obviously the Gods currently, but after Cena and B2 take the titles, who's left? You have a point, but when, aside from the past three months and 2 years ago (E&C, Hardyz, and Dudleyz) have the WWE ever paid attention to the tag divison? It will slide back into obscurity. Its not that high on the WWE priority list.

You know, and you may not like this, but maybe have Eddy and Chavo lose to Team Angle THANKS to Angle sometime before Mania. That way, you can build up tension with Angle and Eddy to culminate after Mania. Might be fun for a while. That, and the though of Vanilla Twice holding Gold makes me sick.
Guest Banky Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 Well Anglesault, it looks like your prediction may come true. I'd be more than happy to see Guerrero put over Team Angle - especially Sheldon Benjamin.
Guest Banky Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 That was a good match tonight, but it looks like Eddie got injured. Hopefully he was alright and will be fine in the future. Also, this match seemed to be the blow-off to the Cena/B2 vs. Los Guerreros feud. Where should they go from here? Maybe Eddie will stay heel - this match he seemed less concerned with playing to the crowd. Either way, it wasn't a bad match - maybe **3/4. He's still a candidate for Wrestler of the Year in 2003. Maybe he'll win the Rumble! *holds breath* *passes out*
Guest LatinoHeat Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 His rudoness isnt the same without the mullet. Thankfully his wrestling skills stayed the same.
Guest Banky Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 His rudoness isnt the same without the mullet. Thankfully his wrestling skills stayed the same. I'm sure he'll be rocking the quasi-mullet by Wrestlemania. Don't worry, if the past is any indication, we have not seen the last of Eduardo's 10-90.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Latino Drunk for 2003 Wrestler of the Year because everyone knows hommes and esse make for good promos and zoning out between moves is cool.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Eddie will do a nice move then look completely lost out there, grab for his opponent's head, hit a forearm, look lost again, hit the forearm then go back to his regular work then he'll do it again later on.
Guest Banky Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 You're just a racist Gheyme, so spare us your Eddie hate. We all know he wasn't drunk so don't be an ass and try to claim that. Its just shows how petty of an individual you are. Find me one solid proof of evidence he was actually drunk during that match, then I'll consider your opinion - until then, keep your Latino hate to yourself.
Guest Brian Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I've hardly ever seen Eddie look lost in the ring.
Guest Banky Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I've hardly ever seen Eddie look lost in the ring. He just hates Latinos, hence he is using stereotypes to put down their work. He doesn't actually have any solid proof.
Guest HHHater Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I've seen Eddie do that forearm thing that you are talking about, but he's not lost. He's just taking a breather/break before the next sequence. Did you ever consider that maybe he is working with less-experienced workers like John Cena and needs to slow it down for them? I'll take a few forearms instead of a rest hold.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I hate Jericho cuz he's Hispanic too! Where the hell did that come from? I didn't say "OMG I hate Eddie that sp*c, I put reasons why I don't think he's that great on the mic at all and that he's not the measuring stick in the ring. B-Dub it's a known fact he was a drunk before and who's to say he doesn't drink now? Do you have proof he wasn't drunk during "that match"? Drunk during what match? Are you referring to a specific one? Because it seems you are. He sure does take alot of breathers HHHater. But let me get this when Booker T does one of those pause sequences it's because he's lost not taking a breather right HHHypocrite?
