There's a huge problem with that forum. In the directory of forums, there's a period at the end. Love, Sex, and Dating. It messes with me! I see

This is a legitimate problem! It bugs me! Fix now! FIX!

Get rid of the period in the name! It's like old things from the 1900s with unneccessary punctuation, like when a newspaper headline would be "Man escapes deadly bull." and actually have the period!

Thank you in advance for fixing this problem.

No, just a lack of things to complain about at the moment.

Do you have OCD?

Hey, nothing wrong with that. :P

And yeah, I get really nitpicking when I'm bored as well.

Ha...funny story with that actually.

I've noticed that even in IM's, I use proper punctuation and a friend of mine happens to get really annoyed by it for some reason.

When I created the folder, my instinct put a period at the end of it...I didn't realize it til it was done. I tried fixing it once, but it didn't take for some reason.

Dames, you should have inserted squiggly flashback lines and told a long and boring story after saying "Funny story with that."

Don't ask me why... don't ask me how... but it annoys the hell outta me!

It's actually become more of an inside joke now though.

For example:

TheDames7: yo eric

Viva La Poop: yo

TheDames7: .

Viva La Poop: YOU COCK

TheDames7: LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dames, you asshole.

I always feel compelled to use proper punctuation on IM, too. I know it's a waste of time, but I have principles, dammit!

You are definitely in the minority when it comes to that.

I use 90% good grammar. The other 10% is because of sentence fragments.

Why do people get annoyed with using proper punctuation in IMs? What the hell do you want, unintelligent shit like "How R U" (or it's even more annoying cousin, "i c")?

Actually, considering some of the people who do IM me, why am I still surprised?

I know people who I've talked to over messengers of various kinds for the last two and a half years, and they've actually gotten WORSE with their typing and grammar on there. It's very painful to read a run-on sentence that takes up a whole AIM window.

Posted

When people take it to extremes... such as saying "UR" instead of "you're" or "your", that's rediculous. Proper grammar over IM doesn't bother me, just something about the way Dames will use a period in certain cases tends to get under my skin.
