I saw it the other day. It is a pretty good movie. I can't believe that happened in real life though.....

EQ, a really good friend of mine in real life, highly recommended the film to me and everything he's ever recommended to me has been great. If I had money to spend like that, I'd go see it.

Previews made it look like a lot more light-hearted than it turned out to be, so I was slightly dissapointed. But on the whole, still a good movie.

excellent movie, best one spielberg's made in a long time. dicaprio is great & there's something that just feels so right about seeing tom hanks do comedy again. and the great christopher walken totally steals the movie.

I also enjoyed the movie alot. It was a fun movie with a good cast that gave great performances.

Also it was a good mix of humor and drama. They never made the dramatic scenes overly dramatic. They also didn't make humorous scenes overly funny to the point it overshadowed the drama aspect of the movie. Just a perfect mix of the two.

I've seen it, and is one of my favorite movies in the past year. There are no Awards for any of the actors, it just isn't that type of film, but it is outstanding as a whole. It made me want to be that guy, he was/is indeed smart as hell, heh.

It's great. One of the best movies I've seen this year, as echoed by the other posters, and MUCH better than both Minority Report and A.I. It was very pleasant to see Spielberg just getting a good script, a good story, and a fine ensemble of actors together again. DiCaprio is also really frickin' charming, and I bought him in this part much more than his role in Gangs of New York.

I liked it and all but.....

*SPOILER*

So the guy lives at the end and helps the FBI. Once again Spielberg can't go for a complex, possible downer ending. It would've been much cooler if Leo's character got killed in France or he killed the FBI guy, just to show that its a cynnical world and you can't trust anybody. But no Spielberg has to sugercoa........

*reads reviews*

....Oh. It's based on a true story. That's what really happened? Well......it still should've ended on a down note, but pussy Spielberg can't do that can he!

Okay bad sarcasm aside I loved the film but it ran a bit too long, still good just could've lost 20 minutes, moreso towards the end.

DiCaprio did one hell of a job in that movie. At the beginning, it said based on a true story. I still can't believe that he got away with it all that time!!

Well doing that type of thing was alot easier back then. They didn't have all the complex security measures that we have now. Back then it wouldn't take much for an intelligent con man to get away with alot without getting caught or not being caught for awhile

I'll agree with everyone else it was really good.

I think part of the reason that it was so good was that everyone would love to have the kind of life the Frank lived (lives). He did whatever he wanted for many years, spent millions of dollars, finally got caught and doing a little time, but ended up getting out and becoming a legit millionaire.

A part of the film which made me appreciate so much was the element of loneliness and friendship. Frank had everything he wanted, but he wasn't internally happy. It's such an old moral that fit really well into this movie.
