Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Austin, Rock, Taker, No one is going to be there tonight. WWE doesn't give us suprises anymore. They have to announce everything and to try to pop a Buy Rate or Ratings.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted January 13, 2003 The sad thing is... there are very few surprises left... with WCW dead and gone, and no real competition available right now, Vince has pretty much used all of his "quick fixes" with the exception of Goldberg... and that's coming soon anyway I miss the days when a wrestler would show up out of nowhere on a show, hearing the announcers scream "what's going on? He doesn't even work here!"
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 13, 2003 If such remarks came from an admitted bisexual HHH is an admitted bisexual? Clue me in here. He said it one time doing commentary, "I'm bi a lot of things, but lingual isn't one of them" when Chyna was doing commentary at the Spanish announce table. Then there was an awkward pause, and he was like "did I just say that?" It wasn't said in a joking tone, I think he accidentally let that slip.

Not that it even matters in the first place, but that proves nothing. He was in DX, and him and Shawn were just acting up and being stupid like they always do, just to further the shock value. I have that very instance on tape, and it meant nothing more than part of their DX gimmick.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 13, 2003 They don't announce everything. We spend all day looking at spoilers and potential spoilers and such. We dont care NATHAN JONES is coming because we know who he is from WWA. We were not surprised when Steiner showed up cause we knew he signed looking at the website. We know finishes in advance based on future house show cards, ppv posters and injury reports. I think we need to take some of the blame for their not being suprises anymore. niko
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Eh--I think it was a Freudian slip, and even not, you can't tell me his CHARACTER is straight as an arrow. Playing various effeminate Frenchmen? The whole semi-homosexual vibe DX gave off? Don't even get me started on the sledgehammer gimmick. I'm just saying that, intentional or otherwise, if HHH pulled what he tried to pull on Kurt Angle, it would be rather ironic considering the characters he's been playing in the so far. Again, banging Chyna? His obsession with Mr. Olympia and body building? The whole posedown thing?

Remember them saying they weren't negotiating to bring Steiner in? Well, that pretty much ended when THEY THEMSELVES broke the story. No surprises, instead we got video packages saying he'd be at the next PPV. I still don't get why anyone gives a shit about some one who is ADVERTISED to show up when he isn't going to wrestle. Who cares?

I really hope you are being kidding, and not actually judging the man based on a few wrestling gimmicks that he has played out. I could list you countless of instances that other people have played out, and gimmicks they have taken part in that would seem to have gay overtones, and it has nothing to do with the actual man. Dustin Runnels is far from being gay, and he played out one of the most gayest characters of all time, and still does so at times. Again, I hope you are just kidding here, if so we can both sit back and have a laugh.

Of course, WWE ignores previous history all of the time. I.E. Stevie Richards and Raven are virtually strangers to each other in WWE.

Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2003 I would make a comment about HHH....but I don't want the thread to turn slashy, soooo, I'll just hush up about that one. Stevie Richards and Raven are virtually strangers to each other in WWE. Ah, but don't you remember? WWE tagged them together on Heat once! Don't you know that's their "history"? Also, Stevie had a short feud with Test (or is still going?) and Raven was shown on Raw once staring after Stacy and Test...or maybe just Stacy. Sure, it was probably part of the Masterpiece...but I don't think that's the only reason they chose Test and Stacy for that segment.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Virtually strangers, not absolutely.
Guest notJames Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Another way for Regal to go over Lawler... Just have Storm hold up a picture of Stacy laughing at his weepy Christmas boo-hoo Internet love letter while she's getting the caboose treatment from some indy wrestler. Regal can then pin Lawler while he's on the mat bawling his eyes out.

Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Updated preview from wwe.com: RAW comes to you live tonight (9/8 CT on the new TNN). As RAW went off the air last week, Eric Bischoff received some news that visibly shook him. The news was that Vince McMahon would be at RAW this week. Why is Eric so upset? What does Vince McMahon have in store for tonight's show? Will we see more of Vince after tonight? Find out the answer to these questions and much more tonight on RAW! Also on RAW, Victoria, Trish and Jackie will square off in a Triple Threat Hardcore Rules Women's Championship Match. In addition, Jerry "the King" Lawler will step away from the broadcast booth to take on one-half of the World Tag Team Champions, William Regal. Also in singles action, Lance Storm will battle Booker T. Test will undoubtedly have his Testicles behind him tonight when he teams with Maven to face D'Lo Brown and Christopher Nowinski. Will the overwhelming presence of Test's Testicles be too much for Brown and Nowinski? Or will they keep their head in the game and overcome? With just days remaining until the 2003 Royal Rumble, what else does Triple H have in store for Scott Steiner? The two monsters have already competed in arm wrestling matches and pose downs. Will they finally get their hands on each other tonight? Find out at 9/8 CT on The New TNN.

Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Damn even the preview sounds really gay. Not gay as in that sucks but gay as in this show sounds very homosexual. I guess the posedown wasn't enough last week. Why don't they just put a gay porn on instead, damn and they wonder why ratings are down.
Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 13, 2003 If they really want the young gay male demographic they should sign Joel Gertner.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Vince has always loved the Gay Innuendoes As gay as the Hunter/Steiner feud has been, I'm happy they haven't fought yet or "Layed their hands on each other yet." Hopefully Jericho and Shawn will be the high light of this show. And Vince ends the Brand Extension tonight. I'm calling it first.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Okay, why the Hell are Maven and Test teaming together ? I can't wait till Regal And Storm's Tag Team Title Run fails and the WWE realizes that the fucked by taking the Titles away from the only team worth giving a Shit about. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Singles Match: -Booker T vs. Lance Storm Hey! A match I might give a shit about. What's that doing on Raw? Test will undoubtedly have his Testicles behind him tonight when he teams with Maven to face D'Lo Brown and Christopher Nowinski. What? They couldn't say "Down with the Brown" just to make that a little gayer?

Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 14, 2003 So what opens raw tonight? Will it be No Chance in Hell? Perhaps RVD jerks the curtain? Maybe a baby oil match between Jeff Hardy and HHH? Vince would probably get off on the last one. Who here would mark out if Vinces private jet went down with Steph, Vince and Hunter riding in it. I realize everyone will think I am sick but my honest reaction would be marking out big time. I know its not right to wish death on anyone but I would be happy, I am not going to deny it. Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Hopefully it starts out with Vince, but they'll try to hold that until last to make you stay tuned through the piece of shit show to see what he does. It will probably start out with a Dudley match.
