So Chyna wasn't lyin'? Heheh--I guess Steph is easy to please. I would love for them to be going to Philly soon and have them chant "LITTLE DICK!" at HHH. Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Shouldn't they be hyping the Number 23 spot...like 5 people have won with that number....
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Well, that was pretty crappy. Man, remember when Eddie and Benoit were on RAW...it was so much better back then... Jericho looked like a badass there for two seconds, when he picked number two..so, of course, we need Michaels to run in, skin the cat like he's Owen Hart or something, and make Jericho look bad. What should've happened, is have Jericho skin the cat on his attempt, then hit Michaels with a superkick, knocking him out of the ring...now that would've been interesting. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Well that was a complete waste. I like the fact Vince's big announcement was a plug for the 10th Ann. show. I knew that is what it would be, but why would you proclaim it as a big announcement pissing off fans even more and making them doubt the next big announcement. It was nice to see Jericho get punked out twice by people with the combined age of 100. I get the Bulldog-HBK rumble reference but the result is Jericho needs to get over Michaels by doing it back to him. It was also nice to see they make Jericho be number two so if he wins Michaels is still the only man to win from one. Nobody figures that the number two man starts the same time there is more glory in winning from one.

Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2003 What annoyed me most abuot this Raw is the lack of backstage segments/promos. Without that, all the matches were fillers. Hurricane and Trish could be a great team, and they could put on some entertaining promos...if only given the chance! Horny Hurricane (in a comedic way) = Ratings
Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2003 LACK OF BACKSTAGE PROMOS/SEGMENTS? ARE YOU FREAKIN' NUTS?
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 14, 2003 What annoyed me most abuot this Raw is the lack of backstage segments/promos. .... However, apparently you missed the several segments with Eric waiting for McMahon. However, all of the matches, that I saw, sucked and were short.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Exactly my point. Perhaps I should've said... "lack of promos with a purpose...as in, promos that had something to do with the matches" Still, I got to see Stevie and Victoria twice, so that's a good note. Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted January 14, 2003 Another RAW reset. Only with Bischoff in the Ric Flair role of getting blamed for RAW sucking. The best part of RAW had to be seeing Booker and Goldust, who were the hottest act on RAW, thrown out there (w/out promo time) in a match designed to build up the Dudleys - who have already turned into a Rikishi act. Why doesn't Bookdust get the first rematch? Why don't they care? The actual Rumble is completely ho-hum. Everyone knows Lesnar is winning. But even still there's only 3 possible winners - Lesnar, Jericho and Michaels. No one else has gotten any promo time to talk about the Rumble. The WWE has usually done a good job in the last couple years of building up at least 5 or 6 people who might be possible winners. Jericho's getting promo time to talk about his quest to win the Rumble, but he's still getting cut off at the knees at every turn and is clearly going to be looking up at the lights for Michaels in the near future. The whole Steiner embarasses Triple H thing was pointless since Hunter refused to act humiliated, which was the whole point of the skit. Lawler was even trying to sell that Triple H was just trying to hide his embarassment. The "cool heel" strikes again.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted January 14, 2003 I think the show can be best summarized as the kind of program one would book if they were given a couple hits of acid beforehand. It was just weird and incoherant and of course, predictably predictable. I'm not even gonna say much other than the McMahon appearance was a major bore, and then seeing Shane surprised me, but in that role (if that happens) is not going to be interesting at all. Once again we will see McMahon v. McMahon wars on the programming, oh fuckin boy, I can't wait. Unless they plan on doing some WCW resurgence, that just flat out sucked. Notice how of course Bischoff had to be subservient as all hell to Vince. I honestly don't think Eric will ever be allowed to give an upperhand on the McMahons, in fact I think this will just turn out to be that Eric is taken off Raw and is never heard from again, may just work with them in creative or something, blah. And can they just fire Jeff Hardy already? PLEASE!!! Raven.........wow good work again, RAW creative! Way to make purpose of the whole angle being put together for weeks on Heat! And what in the blue hell was that O Haire vignette about? When I mention about the bookers being on acid on this show, thats one clear example of what I'm talking about. It didn't really make me interested in this character, it just fucking confused me.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 14, 2003 I'm Guessing Randy Orton was a little Too Entertaining last week so he was forced to be shown only once with No Promo time? And where was Christian? UnFuckenbelievable! Less then a Week away and still not everyone is announced for the Rumble.
