This is from WWEbest of 2002 MAGAZINE ON SALE NOW: Superstar of the year-Brock Lesnar runner ups:Taker, Jericho,HGH,Angle I guess since Eddie is a midcarder he doesn't get nominated, but either way i would've picked Angle instead of Brock Luger. Tag Team of 2002-Booker and Goldie Runner ups-Billy and Chuck,Edge and Rey(I thought that Rey was the captain of this team),Benoit and Angle,Guerreros Bookdust was a hilarious tag team but they barely won the tag team titles on RAW and were treated like jobbers in 2002, this should've been given to none other than Benoit and Angle or los Guerreros 2002 Newcomer of the year-KNOWINSKI????????!!!!!!!You got to be kiddin' me, this magazine is nuthin but a joke.(On a funny note last year when the best of 2001 magazine came out the WWF forgot to include Newcomer of the year as far as i know RVD was supposed to be the winner that year , mmmm, coincidence or conspiracy?) Runner-ups:Rey(winner in my book or Brock)Rico and Noble. 2002 Diva of the year-who cares, next. 2002 Match of the year-Brock and Taker HITC match(lol) After i saw this i had to throw away this crap where it belongs, in the garbage, Vince loves to insult the fans' intelligence.

Of course Brock is the superstar of the year- the guy only lost one match by pinfall or submission. Again- this is a magazine designed for marks and that's who the awards were written for. No harm done

Sure they were good in backstage segments, but they barely got in the ring together until late in the year. Benoit and Angle are the best looking team on paper, but they were a team for all of I'd say 2 - 3 months. I think the award should have gone to B n C... i thought they were more entertaining as a team than any of the rest, and majority of their matches were wrestled as a team. And unlike they other teams they actually had to move up in the ranks and werent just handed the belts (starting on Heat and working up to Tag Champs)

Guest Passenger Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 If Brock won 'superstar of the year', then surely he should've won 'newcomer of the year' by default. Superstar of the year means he was the best superstar of the year, so how Nowinski has been a better newcomer is beyond me.

I have no problme with Brock being superstar of the year. The guy was defeated once since April when he started for christ sake if you dont count that DQ loss agaiunst the hardy's.

Guest bob_barron Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Yea this magazine shows how they treat their fanbase badly. Superstar of the year went to the #1 face in the company. Tag team of the year went to the #1 face tag team in the company. MOTY went to a match that featured tons of blood and was a HIAC. It seems to me that the things they chose would be very pleasing to the fanbase that reads WWE Magazine. Why would I have anger over being a fan of William Regal? And I shouldn't like him because of who he is friends with. And Regal has had good matches since jumping to the WWF so I think that statement is a bit inaccurate. I'm not the one who started a thread just to mock a magazine that no one really cares about. I don't consider myself a mark, a smark or anything- I just consider myself a fan of wrestling- just like you.
