Andrea vs Meng

I hear about how tough Haku/Meng is all the time, so do you think he could take Andrea?

If you're referring to Andre the Giant, I doubt it. I don't doubt Haku's toughness as he is THE guy in the locker room you don't wanna fuck with, but this is Andre the fuckin Giant we're talking about here. He could probably put up a good fight but I give the nod to Andre here.

Andre's toughness is way overrated. He had no mobility, no stamina or conditioning. Haku would slaughter Andre.

Why does everyone talk about about Haku being this super though guy? Same with Andre. Both wouldent last long with a trained fighter.

I have a lil fighting training...and given a good while in a reputable gym and trainer....and an added 100 pounds or so...Id still pass on the Andre the Giant brawl. Theres some people you just dont fuck with...and back in the day (re. 70s and earlier) Andre was exceptionally mobile pus obviously huge. Dont let his sad state at the end of his life fool you!

Yeah, I believe Haku is trained in some forms of martial arts or general fighting and that's why he is so tough.

Didn't Antonio Inoki or some other Japanese star once beat Andre in a shoot type setting by basically kicking his legs out from under him?

You're thinking of the infamous Akira Maeda vs Andre match, where Maeda starting shooting on Andre (apparently because Andre was no-selling his offense) and began to circle him and kick out he knees until Andre finally went down on one knee. Maeda wouldn't go in for anything because he knew that if Andre got a hold of him he'd be dead meat. Inoki eventually ran out and stopped the match by dragging Maeda to the back leaving Andre in the ring screaming that he wasn't done and he wanted Maeda back.

I hope Andrea is Andre, but if you're talking about Andrea Bocelli i think Haku would win ^_^ ............. Seriously though, Haku was trained to fight in Tonga and he's legitimate as fas as tough guys go. Even though Andre was so big, you know the saying the bigger they are the harder they fall. Get Andre off the ground and he's done.

Actually Maeda did want to go in and finish off Andre, and he would have done so with ease. He kept looking at his corner men for the OK to go in for the kill, but they kept shaking their heads. In the end, Inoki came in and pulled Maeda out of the ring.

Get him off the ground and he's done? I doubt that. If Andre was on his back and you went for a kick and he caught your leg you're fucked beyond fucked, as I don't doubt that he could probably break a leg with ease.

The big question is IF he caught his leg. what makes you think if he got him on the ground that he would immediatley go for a kick on the head. He could use low kicks on the legs of Andre to break him down physically. And, its not like Andre had reflexes of a cat. You make Andre sound like Superman. It's not easy to catch a kick with someone who is experienced with his feet.

Sumo? I'm not sure about that one. Don't sumo wrestlers need to be somewhat fat?

Sumo has different weight classes...but kinda like boxing, the big guys get the attention.

I saw a clip once of Maeda breaking Chosyu's face with a brutal kick once. Would he be considered one of those guys a promoter will use to rough someone up?

As far as fighting Andre goes, I'd much rather fight him than Haku. According to Dynamite Kid's book, Andre was really quite weak, since working out would put so much stress on his heart. DK told a story in there about Andre giving him a back body drop, and Kid barely jumped with it at all, figuring that since Andre was such a monster, he'd fling a little guy like him into the rafters. Apparently, Kid just kind of gingerly slid off of Andre's back.

When i say trained fighter i mean someone along the lines Lebanner,Hoost or Lewis.

At the end of the of the day both of their reps come from hersay and have never been proved. Im not saying they arnt though but its never been proved.

If the Big Show was around in Andre's day people would talk about him like they do with Andre.

I'm assuming that you're referring to the incident where Choshu had his opponent in a Scorpion Death Lock and Maeda just broke his face. That incident wasn't about roughing Choshu up, Maeda was pissed about being taken down the card in favour of other new guys and decided to play a little game of "Break The Bookers Orbital Bone."

That is so impressive. ;) Ya know, if i kicked someone stiff in an unprotected face it would probably do some serious damage as well. What a badass.

In Andre's defence he was very slow in the ring and if he was fighting the Dynamite Kid then it probably happened when Andre's body was in really rough shape. I would never ever want to tilt that man.

That would be the one. Does Maeda have a habit of shit like this, other than the two instances mentioned here?
