Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 16, 2003 If they announce the whole Smackdown 15 in the rumble tonight, we will have a rumble with no surprises. I mean last year we had no surprises, but at least we had some returning guys which was pretty fun. This year, we will know everybody in advance. As well, none of the big guys came back for the Rumble either. Do you think we'll get a surprise? Maybe a Rhyno or a Kanyon? Or do you think the 30 will be announced before hand. niko
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I think they're gonna try and have SOMEONE be a suprise they know that that's what makes the Rumble popular
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Rhyno would be a Good Surprise...WWE fans forgotten Kanyon. Rhyno is the one and ONLY surprise we're getting babe.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I think even though everyone would be announced their still would be surprises. Thats one of the big things about the Rumble. EVERY year there's a surprise. You could easily substitute the Island Boys or Jeff Hardy. I think realistic surprises would be Rhyno, Kanyon, Rey Mysterio, and maybe even Nathan Jones. In time mate.....in Time
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I'd love to see Kanyon come back using his old schtick. Talking about how he's the Alliance MVP not having any idea the alliance ended.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I'd love to see Kanyon come back using his old schtick. Talking about how he's the Alliance MVP not having any idea the alliance ended. Oh my God, that would instantly be one of my favorite gimmicks ever!
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Of course they could always go with Austin but I strongly doubt it or they could snag some old guy or someone to pop the crowd
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Replacing Raw Talents sounds great to me....i hope you are right. Lately if I say I want to see something, it means it will not happen. niko
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I think the only suprises will be Nathan Jones, that guy from OVW, and The Undertaker (either the fake one under the old school gimmick only for the real one to come out later and beat him up as biker Taker, or for him just to come out as the real old school taker).
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I think Taker's return is going to be an interview segment or something.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 16, 2003 If they DO get some old Guy...Make It Jim Duggan. As matter of fact Steph or Eric can even hype "A mystery Entry...A former Rumble winner". Makes us think it's Austin or Rock but instead It's only Jim Duggan. Please, the fucker would get a INSANE POP...he can come out...Go "HO!" walk around the ring throw a few a punches...Play to the fans and Jericho hurls him over to even MORE heat. It writes itself! Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 That would be the funniest thing ever

If Jim Duggan came out, I would mark out so damn bad. I've always been a huge Hacksaw fan damnit, so sue me! He'd make a hell of a crazy manager, bwahahahahahahahaha. By the way... ...it's "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"... ...and not "Ho!". USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA!!!!!!! TOUGH GUY!!!!!!! Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I love how in the middle of Royal Rumble 92 for no reason he just starts a 'USA' chant. The fans think its Hogan, Austin, Bret or Rock- and it's Hacksaw. GOLD JERRY! GOLD!
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 16, 2003 In case you didn't notice, I'm the worlds biggest Hacksaw Jim Duggan mark. Sometimes I wonder if I'm crazy, for loving him, Goldberg, TBS, liking Albert here lately, etc...
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted January 16, 2003 The OVW guy, The Damaja, is no longer in the Rumble. At the latest OVW tapings, he flipped out and attacked Rocky Johnson and Jim Cornette, so Cornette "called Jim Ross" and Ross said the only fair thing to do would be take back his shot at the Rumble. Damaja then went on to do an "I Quit" angle, which may or may not lead into him actually showing up on WWE sooner than later.

Oh well, I guess we all should have known not to take any angles seriously in acordance to WWE.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 16, 2003 You like all these guys yet you hate Edge? Anywho- that sucks the OVW guy won't be in it but if this means we get a suprise then that's over like rover. SUUUUUUUUUUUCKA
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 16, 2003 You like all these guys yet you hate Edge? Indeed, I simply can't stand his character, move set, and personality. If he had a totally different gimmick, altered his move set, etc... then I would like him. If he workd on his selling style, I'd be happy also. I know he is consistantly in good matches, many of which I have enjoyed, but small things like his selling, etc... keep me from totally being able to accept him in his posistion. Not to mention that I don't think he has the look, nor the speaking style, needed to be in the Main Event. He looks, and still sounds, like a goofy middle school teen trying to be "cool". Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted January 16, 2003 The Damaja incident is a typical WWE bait and switch tactic. God forbid we get someone new and fresh rather than Jeff "it's not body paint, I puked on myself" Hardy. And I swear Crash Holly better not be in this Rumble either. I love the surprise entrants, or even the "nostalgia pop" guys that come in. I mean, look at last year. Goldust wound up getting a contract because of how good of shape he got into, and wound up becoming one of the most popular WWE stars of the last year. Lightning could strike twice, if the WWE would let it. I would like Rhyno, Kanyon, or Austin to return. I don't expect a Goldberg debut this soon, if at all. If it's The Rock, I would care less. If it's a new guy like Nathan Jones, I'd be intrigued. That said, we'll probably get The Berzerker as a surprise.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2003 I heard from my sources that There will be a few surprises. They will be the Bushwhackers ( in an attempt to see if it s possible to possibly eliminate Luke any faster).....Also, a video on the TitanTron will play with the shadow of a bald man and the phrase "WHO'S NEXT?" pop on the screen. All of a sudden the war music starts and the pyro starts and out comes the one and only.......GillBerg!
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Are your sources a bunch of 14 year old junior high kids?
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 16, 2003 The WWE never said Damaja was coming. Its actually a bait and switch only if you are an OVW fan. They have never said on a website, TV, etc that there would be an OVW guy at the rumble. niko
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Negative on that one Mighty......They're 9 year old 1st. graders....cmon man, get it right
Guest Goodear Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Pulling Damaja out of the Rumble was a good idea anyway. Seriously, he would have just been met with complete silence anyway since no one would know who he was without some sort of introduction promo. The Rumble has to be the worst place to stick a new guy anyway. Besides Team Angle just debuted three weeks ago and this will be their first PPV. So the fresh quota will be filled by them. I also don't think sticking Austin in the Rumble would be a good idea either since it would sort of be a waste of the buy rate to bring him as a surprise in with no promotion. Plus, I would rather the Brock/Angle thing get solidified with the Rumble anyway and I don't see Austin getting dumped in his return. Oh, and all good and pure people love Hacksaw Jim. If he doesn't make you smile just a little bit while stinking up the ring, your heart is two sizes too small.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Smackdown Royal Rumble participants (official from tonight's Smackdown) Rikishi B2 A Train Bill DeMott Matt Hardy Edge Charlie Haas Shelton Benjamin John Cena Tajiri Rey Mysterio Chavo Guerrero Eddie Guerrero Winner of Brock Lesnar vs Big Show But thats only 14.. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Rhyno would be a good addition...he'd get a nice welcome back pop. Plus he could be this year's Kane and eliminate a bunch of people.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted January 16, 2003 Hacksaw getting eliminated by Jericho, and then having Chris do his Hogan impersonation would be classic. Kanyon as the alliance MVP would also be funny...because the joke is made that he's been gone since before the Alliance ended. It would be cute to have Rhyno enter as the 30# entry, that way they'd be sure to have some good heat going into the end of the match...as the crowd will be murmuring for at least ten minutes for Rhyno's return. Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted January 16, 2003 well that settles it... Smackdown's 15th participant will be JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS~! I don't know what was said to settle it...but nobody can clear out a ring quite as fast as Jake Roberts...he wouldn't even have to bring his snake...
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 16, 2003 That said, we'll probably get The Berzerker as a surprise. Dude, I'd mark for that like a little bitch. Of course, everyone in the sports bar would wonder why I'm bellowing "HUSS! HUSS!"
