Let's never speak of that match again

Bob sure the outcome sucked (especially for a Bulldog mark like you) and it was a shit job done on him by Vince & Co, but the match itself is pretty good.

Bulldog / HBK is more depressing than anything. The HBK IC title win over Davey in 92 was my first big let down in wrestling as an 11-year old fan and the fact that the Bulldog never returned the favor still bothers me a little.

Both DVDs have potential. Bulldog / Bret is my favorite bout of all time and I'm sure Benoit & Angle / Eddie & Chavo tore the house down at Rebellion.

Totally agree with cawthon- Bulldog losing the title in 92 absolutely CRUSHED me and I've hated HBK ever since. Bulldog is my all time favourite wrestler BTW.

Bulldog v. Bret is my favourite match as well

The Confidential DVD is pretty good. I bought it for Bret v. Bulldog, and a few chapters that I had missed, or wanted to see again. Not a bad spread, some funny stuff. I paid 14.99$ at Suncoast, and got a Hulk Hogan bobblehead included for free!!!~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!

I still don't know how to destroy the bobblehead. Ideas?

I have one, so listen carefully and hurry, you have no time to waste. Are you listening? Alright, first you put that in a plain old box. Then, you seal it up with tape. Still with me? Good. You then put my address on it and finally, you take it down to your local post office and give it to them, they'll take care of the rest. Problem solved, I'm glad I could be of some help.

I haven't seen the Summerslam '92 match since the day it aired...so it was great marking out for the appearance of one Lennox Lewis. :D

Heck, I've seen every Confidential episode so far, so it definitely wasn't the main program I was spending my money on. Buy this DVD NOW.

As for the Rebellion 2002 DVD, it's MIA everywhere I've looked so far - no comment on that DVD.

I checked out a few stores this weekend and found both. If it helps, I tried Best Buy and FYE.

Ended up getting the Hogan DVD instead but Confidential did look pretty good.

Anyone know when these DVDs come out in Canada??

Probably in like April/May. It's retarded. The WWE videos in Canada are distributed by Koch, a Canadian company, yet they only come out months after the American releases. Unforgiven 2002 isn't even out here yet. I still can't find an explanation for it.

What about any new releases? Everybody knows that WWE Armageddon DVD is coming in mid-February but is there any reliable website that lists coming WWE DVD releases like the Confidential one or something like that? I would sure like to know with a little anticipation if there's any special new non-PPV DVD coming out next.

Unforgiven and Global Warning are coming out this week in Canada...

It's been 4 months since Unforgiven and it's only coming out now? Armageddon is out in the states in February. That's only 2 months. So like I said, Canada always has to wait twice as long to gets new WWE DVD releases.

It's alright- The commentary is pretty funny. One annoyance is during the main feature they keep showing clips of the superstars in Australia- its just annoying have to keep skipping over them

Bob, I figure this was the best place to ask this question, but seeing as how Bulldog's your fav, do you believe Bret when he says he had to carry a winded Bulldog for the majority of the match?

I actually watched the day to be honest with you and I admit- Bret did the majority of the work- but if it was just Bret carrying him- the match WOULD NOT have been as good as it was.

So basically-

Bret carried him a little but Davey did his part

I watched it too, then watched the Bulldog tribute....wow he won the IC title when he was 29, that means he was tag champion at 22, he was too young damnitt. Also Bulldog always seemed larger than life but watching the SummerSlam match he's eyeball/eyeball with Bret, that's when you realize he was only 5'10, Shit I'm taller than the Bulldog was.

I agree that Bret set the pace for the bout but it's just too good of a match for me to admit that Bulldog was really out of it. The story I heard when Bret was on the LAW quite a while back was that he got into England and Davey had been taking a few weeks off - however, he "fell into a bad group of people" and was very much out of shape. After a few minutes, Davey was already blown up and was forgetting the spots so Bret had to keep telling him what to do.

If that story is 100% true then Bret is the greatest wrestler ever (which I wouldn't argue).

Davey was initially my favorite too but then he jobbed the IC belt and left the WWF (before I started watching WCW so I thought he was gone from wrestling forever), I got hooked by Bret's first world title run.

Another reason Bret did all that was because he was working the heel and was playing the role
