Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Kanyon is scheduled to make his return to the WWE Smackdown roster on the January 25th house show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. No word yet on when he will return to TV, but with him returning to the house shows, his TV return can't be too far off. Credit: ChrisKanyon.com
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I like Kanyon, but is there really room for him? The damn rosters are just too big and they keep bringing in more guys. They need to cut some dead hoss weight to make up for returns and debuts
Guest Coffey Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I'd really enjoy Kanyon on RAW. Why does he have to go to Smackdown? Smackdown isn't hurting as bad as RAW is! I mean, Smackdown has all the Dawn Marie/Al Wilson crap, but RAW has the "Triple H effect." Nova could be brought up from OVW to RAW. Kanyon could go to RAW. Put the Hurricane on T.V. more often with those two. Let them wrestle however they want. You would have entertaining, innovative wrestlers in the mid-card. The only problem would be they wouldn't have a title to compete for. So, bring back the Intercontinental Heavyweight Title. There ya go. If there was one more guy who wrestled similar to them, you could even throw in some tag team matches. You know that the Hurricane & Nova are competant with one another. I had this storyline going for awhile in EWR. Kanyon's partner was Al Snow and they were known as "Cold Front." Their finisher was called "Absolute Zero." Of course, EWR is all text, so I only had to come up with a name for the finisher, not an actual move.
LooseCannon25 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 How about putting Kanyon back in his Mortis gimmick and teaming him up with Kane ....Dont laugh but i actually like the Mortis character, but Kanyon is great regardless of what he plays. I can't wait to see him back........ "Whooooooooo Betta than Kanyoooooon?"
Paul Stanley Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Kanyon rules, 'nuff said. (well, when he's not being jobbed to 'Take/Kane like in 2001)
Guest HHHater Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I am ready for Kanyon, but I don't see what they have for him right now creatively. They already have enough comedic heels between Matt, Jericho, Christian, Orton, etc. Also, I would like Kanyon to actually innovate some offense this time around. I haven't seen him do anything too innovative in years.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Who bettah than Kanyon, Mattitude V1 MVP
Guest Loss4Words Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I like Kanyon. I just hope he can finally turn his moveset into something that builds toward a climax in a match, because he does have an interesting offense. If he can learn that, I'll be one of his biggest supporters.
Guest HHHater Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Kanyon and Booker T, the Internet darlings.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 WHO BETTAH THEN KANYON?? I can't wait for Kanyon to come back- he didn't really get a fair shake his first tenure. If he goes to RAW he could have a great feud with Booker T like they did in 2000
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Good ol Kanyon. Kanyon: "Who's not betta then Kanyon?" Crowd: "Everybody!" Kanyon: "HAHA! I fooled ya. I said who's not betta then Kanyon!"
Guest Banky Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Ah he's D'Lo Brown overated. All the internet fans dig these two guys, but they are pretty much average competitors. I'd take Kanyon over D'Lo, but not by much. I haven't missed the guy or anything.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 damnit! Why do the guys I like go to Smackdown and the guys I hate go to Raw?! Hey, WWF, HAVE MTV OR TNN START SHOWING SMACKDOWN, YOU WHORES!
Guest eiker_ir Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 i mark for Kanyon...c'mon u know he rules...
Guest Brian Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 ::Kanyon Cuts Banky:: ::Kanyon Cuts someone on the street:: Bang!
Guest Steviekick Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 Wow...everyone loves Kanyon. I can't wait to buy some new overpriced Kanyon merch
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I am glad. Kanyon would never have fit in on RAW with his less than stellar mic skills. Rhyno should go to Smackdown as well. Both are Smackdown style wrestlers. RAW would be better off with someone like Cena or Rikishi.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I don't get this "Raw needs the help" complaint. In my mind, Smackdown is suffering just as badly. Both have got terrible angles running with not much direction and though Raw does suck, I think yesterday's Smackdown was pretty much in it's league of sucking as well.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 Ah he's D'Lo Brown overated. All the internet fans dig these two guys, but they are pretty much average competitors. I'd take Kanyon over D'Lo, but not by much. I haven't missed the guy or anything. ...Says the guy who has orgasms for Latino Stink
Guest Anglesault Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 ::Reads anti-Eddy quote:: ::Has a heart attack:: ::Is brought back with aid from the SD!6 tag matches:: ::leads angry mob against Anti-Eddy fan:: Even in my anti-Eddy days, I didn't deny his talent.
Guest godthedog Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 yay! kanyon! it's about damn time, i've been waiting a year almost and a half to see him back on tv. unless he gets injured again. which i can sorta see happening.
Guest Anglesault Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 The only problem, after Edge, who? Rey? Maybe Kanyon's kind of fucked then.
Guest Choken One Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I certaintly agree that Kanyon is disturbingly over rated. He was a bright spot in a time where the company had nothing good except cruiserweights. Kanyon doesn't really have that much charisma and he really doesn't make me or the casual fans care to see him wrestle. His whose betta sthick is old and dated. They need to change his character and NOT into a DDP 2.0.
Guest the saiyan prince Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 How about putting Kanyon back in his Mortis gimmick and teaming him up with Kane ....Dont laugh but i actually like the Mortis character, but Kanyon is great regardless of what he plays. I can't wait to see him back........ "Whooooooooo Betta than Kanyoooooon?" hey who's laughing i liked mortis too and i think it would be a great idea to team him up with kane but what would they be called??
Guest Coffey Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 How about putting Kanyon back in his Mortis gimmick and teaming him up with Kane ....Dont laugh but i actually like the Mortis character, but Kanyon is great regardless of what he plays. I can't wait to see him back........ "Whooooooooo Betta than Kanyoooooon?" hey who's laughing i liked mortis too and i think it would be a great idea to team him up with kane but what would they be called?? Kane sucks. Keep him away from Kanyon. Just look at what Kane turned the last TLC match into. RAW match of the decade! *sigh*
Guest Renegade Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Its cool to have Kanyon back. But you just know he won't be used in anything decent.
Guest HHHater Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I'd rather see the Mortis gimmick myself, but that would require the WWE doing something...you know, cool.
