Who gets the Diesel treatment

There's a lot of potential Diesels in there with Brock/Big Show, Batista, DeMott, A-Train, Nathan Jones, Kane, B2, and possibly Taker and/or Rhyno returning.

 

If they're serious about Nathan Jones, then definitely him. If not, then Batista will probably get it.

It'd be better if they let it for someone else, and give Taker the No Way Out title shot as compensation. Then you get a payoff for Taker showing up but it actually leads somewhere, and the PPV title shot is out there a months early.

Actually another vision comes to mind, Jericho lays HBK out in the middle of the match (after about 13 people) and HBK is taken back to the dressing room (NEVER eliminated)...Just before #30 Batistia comes out, HBK limps down to the ring and superkicks Jericho over the ropes...Jericho goes Irate and brings a chair back in and levels HBK and leaves him for Dead as Batistia hurls him out. 5 guys left (Batistia, Kane, Demott, Brock and Undertaker) Ross climaxes and Brock f5's all guys out.

Actually, I could see Jericho forfieting his Title shot for a Chance to retire HBK. It would make sense that Jericho would scarifice something important like that and then Austin whom is likely going to fued to with HHH with the Outsider Lone Wolf Gimmick can fight for the title at Mania.

No one will get the Diesel push this year. If HBK and Jericho have to be in it from start to finish the closest thing to a Diesel push will be some big guy eliminating a few people and then some other big guy or HBK and Jericho teaming up to toss him out.

 

For the Diesel push to work the ring has to be cleared (see also Rikishi in 2000) and the big guy has to be in the ring waiting for the next victim. If Jericho and HBK are in the ring the whole time it's impossible.

Agreed. Jericho HAS to be in there at the end, otherwise this whole thing has been a waste of time. If there is someone eliminating many people, I think it will be Batista/Jones or Lesnar.

Well, I want jericho and christian to cheat and eliminate michaels, stay in forever till christian turns his back and jericho dumps him, then brock tosses jericho at the end. I don't think Jones will show, because debuting someone in a rumble means they could lose serious heat right off, unless they win. And that is NOT a good idea. Plus he doesn't really have the name value to be a huge surprise. He might show up somewhere else down the card though, or pull a Giant Gonzalez. EDIT: brock HAS to win.

That is so easy to work around. HBK and Jericho hate each other BAH GAWD! They both are fighting, rolling on the mat, and roll out of the ring, fighting on the outside, and up the ramp.

 

I'm not saying I'd do that, but it's possible if they WANTED the "Diesel Push" to happen for someone.

In 97, Steve Austin pulled a "Diesel" and just kept throwing people out left and right, so you never know who it could be. My best guess is Brock Lesnar.

The best thing they can do with Jericho is not have him win. He starts going really good at the end, knocks out Shawn. Shawn throws a fit on the outside, grabs Jericho giving Brock a clothesline out and a final clothesline on someone else, a heel. That way, Jericho can play the tweener for two months while Michaels gets heat on him, for being jealous of a younger, more youthful guy in his design. Michaels loses at Mania, and liek I said, Trips uses Shawn to establish another main event player he can go over since Jericho will end up a face.
