What are some of the funniest death scenes in movies that weren't meant

to be funny? Off the top of my head, I howled when the son in Gladiator

was trampled by the Romans coming to kill Marcus' family. He bounces off

the horse and screams... fantastic. Give me some more!!!

For all the idiots out there, this thread will have spoilers.

When Meg Ryan got hit by the truck in City of Angels. Mostly because I had just seen Black Dog right before it and I half expected Patrick Swayze and Randy Travis to step out of the truck. "Damn it, Earl, we hit a woman. Meatloaf is gonna' be pissed."

Then there was the last 5 minutes of Beware, Children At Play...when the townsfolks slaughtered the kids

Well, I've made myself look like a sick bastard by saying Clockwork Orange had a happy ending, and it looks like I'm about to do it again.

When Murphy died in Robocop. Everybody says that scene is so disturbing, but I can't stop laughing. The stuff Clarence says to him is hilarious.

Also from Robocop, everything from where that dude crashes into the vat of acid to when he's split in half by the car, is comedy gold.

My favorite death scene is still the last death in Blood Shack. The man's dying last words...."the...chooper....is....reeaaaallll."

Least I didn't say Bambi.

If this wasn't a thread for funny unfunny deaths I would say Marvin from Pulp Fiction...I giggled my ass off on that one.

"Oh man...I just shot Marvin in the face."

When George kills Lenny in the Malkovich version of "Of Mice And Men"

We watched it in my 9th grade English class and I burst out laughing, to the dismay of my teacher. I was like "What? That was great!"

The Crow: When Draven kills Skank,

ED: Not a good day to be a bad guy, huh Skank?

Skank: I'm not Skank, that's Skank, Skank's dead.

ED: Yeah, (Draven throws Skank out a 4th story window)

I feel it had a happy ending, but the ending of the book was happier. I mean, come on! He bucked the mind-control bullshit! Kudos to Alex!

When ED-209 or whatever the big-ass robot in Robocop was blew away the guy during its unveiling, I died laughing. "You have ten seconds to put down the weapon..."

Also, I've found myself laughing my ass off at the guy in the Final Destination 2 previews. Everything gets so damn out of control, and then SPAGHETTI~! is his downfall!!!

I don't know if it's funny, but Shimi's death in AOTC was so badly acted that you could almost see the cartoon "X's" come over her eyes when she slumped forward.

The final scene in Army of Darkness. Ash proves why he kicks so much ass as he disposes of a witch while qiupping and ends by kissing the dream girl.

Wicthy: "You loved me before."

Ash: "Honey, you got real ugly."

Good shit indeed, but I'm sure it was supposed to be funny.

Oh it was, but you HAVE to include at least one Evil Dead scene here.

Ditto on the Sam Jackson/Deep Blue Sea.

Personally, the guy in Resident Evil who fights off an entire army of zombies and re-unites with the team, only to get shanked by the Licker three seconds later

To me, the funniest death in Final Destination was Seann William Scott's head getting chopped off. Or, the one at the very end that you don't really see, but you know it's going to happen.

I have to agree with Bus Girl. But it's weird because I don't think it was meant to be funny. I don't know how I reacted when I actually saw it, but seeing it mentioned here it seems as if it's one of those double take things.

"Oh shat. A bus just hit her.

*laughs*"

I think it might have freaked me out the first time, but my memory isn't so hot. I think I took it more seriously then, though, and didn't see the comedy. Thinking of it here, though, it has a bit of a comedic light on it.

I believe they were originally going to show her mangled remains in the street... in fact I'm sure of it. So that would seem to indicate they didn't intend for it to be funny.
