The Stacey angle tonight.......

Recommended Posts

Guest The Mighty Damaramu

Where is this Stacey angle that happened tonight going? I hope it doesn't draw the attention from HBK/Jericho to Jericho/Test. But besides that I thought this was in poor taste. JR went into his "folks this is a tragedy" voice and Jerry Lawler did it to. I'm getting tired of this crap. You know it's fine for a wrestler to get knocked out and sent to the hospital but sell it so we know it's an angle and not try to make it sound so real. Because like everyone says, when the next person is really hurt out there and the fans are cheering and yelling and showing no concern whatsoever we know who to blame.

What? Is Jericho so great that he has two feuds at once!? Is he going to go over in both of them furthering himself as the greatest ever!?

Man did somebody put something in JR's drink or what? I mean the guy's usually down on Jericho but tonight he was in full verbal blowjob form for Jericho. That was kinda cool. Maybe Jericho took him in the back and put him in the OLD SKOOL~! Liontamer until he agreed to put Jericho over like a hoss.

The use of the "serious" voice aka the "Owen" voice in these lame ass injury angles pisses me off as well. As soon as JR started doing it I shut off my TV in disgust.

Well, this is obvious.

Test v. Jericho in the match everybody wants to see at No Way Out.

They are saving HBK vs Jericho for Wrestlemania, so this gives Jericho something to do for the next ppv. HBK will probably referee the match or something.

It's "going" to drag Jericho deeper into a pit of jobberosity.

All his momentum from last night, I can see seeping away into a fued with Test, becuase SHAWN FUCKING MICHAELS is NOT an active wrestler, thus is NOT on every show. Dammit!!!

I'd bet nowhere good for Jericho. What was the point of building him up at the Rumble just so he can be sacrificed to Test at the next PPV? Guess it was just another slap in the face to all the Jericho fans still holding out hope.

Jericho will probably come out next week and apologize to Test for what happened - teasing a face turn. Then he'll attack Test from behind so he can go back to playing pussy midcard heel to make way for HHHorseman as the only strong heels.

And he'll probably end up jobbing to Michaels at Mania as well. Michaels said on wwe.com that he offered the creative team another suggestion to extend the angle with Jericho through Backlash. It was supposed to end at Mania apparently. I can't imagine what he would want to change about the storyline...

Well maybe HBK will ref the match. And then he'll either:

A) Screw Jericho making him do the J-O-B to Test

or

B) Do for the 3RD time in his career the reluctant pinfall because he screwed up as ref.

Who cares all Stacy is and all she ever will be is jacking fodder. If she gets hurt just wheel the next bimbo in. No one will care about this angle because the only reason stacy is over is because of her ass, therefore the crowd has no emotional attachment to her.

Besides that metal chair wacking her in her ditzy head probably made her brain swell to the size of a walnut, 3 times its normal size.

Seriously have you guys ever listened to Stacy talk, I realize she is beautiful but there comes a point in time when I want to have intellectual intercourse with my companion. Can you guys imagine the phone conversations you would be stuck having with that 12 year old voice.

I don't think anyone cares about Stacey dude. We care about what this is going to do to Jericho's career.

My point exactly no one will care about this angle so wwe will drop it after a couple of weeks and it will not effect Jericho at all. But Jericho will never be given a big push again so it doesn't really matter anyway. See pushing Jericho would be smart and thats not what Vince is all about.

They"ll probably have Stacey turn on Test, so Jericho can be stuck with a worthless Valet which will further piss of the smarks.

Indeed. That and the Al Wilson angle makes that #2 ranking on Raw X more and more shallow, doesn't it? If I were Bret, I'd be ashamed of admitting that I was on speaking terms with Vince again. I'm glad he's not selling himself out, as a "goodbye" appearance by him would be treated equally shallow, as he noted himself.

That was the most boring nonsense I've seen on TV since the Taker injury angle.

And I really don't mean to be an ass, or offend anybody--but how could anybody think that that was for real? Yes, Jericho's acting was spectucular as always, but still...I don't see how a person could think this was a shoot, even for an instant. I was very, very surprised at the number of people not only on this board, but also on other boards, that initially thought it was for real, and even more surprisingly how many people persisted in that belief for a little while.

Again, I don't mean to be rude, but I was taken aback by this.

Or in the words of CRZ, "Rule 1: Are you watching it? Rule 2: Then it's a work."

That's a good thing to keep in mind, but Rule 1 isn't actually a rule ;)

Who thought it was a shoot?

From what I read, some people here weren't certain if it was a work or shoot.

wouldn't that be so novel, if right when wwe decides it is time for HBK to put Jericho over for once, HBK decides he is "retired" again...I can SO see this happening. Hence the no-sell of the Jericho/HBK feud and right onto the abominable Jericho/Test feud.

This might be an injury angle so she could get implants. I was worried about it happening when the Dudleys 3D'd her.

Hmm..thats actually a plausible explanation..

I honestly thought it was for real until I realized it sounded a lot like the chair hit the post. Then I saw the replay and saw her throw her hands up ahead of time and the chair hit the post. Had they NOT shown the replay, I think maybe they could have pulled it off as a believeable..

You're all forgetting that Test is the future of the company, in the midst of a huge, ball-crushing push, and Jericho will be honored to do the job at the ppv to give him the rub as only a former undisputed champion can.

And I would've though that Jericho saying, loud enough for the mikes to pick it up "I didn't mean to do it!" a few seconds after the chairshot would've been a pretty good clue that it was yet another pointless, "this is real, we're not kidding, it's really, really real. Super-real. Oh, wait, maybe we are kidding, just checking to see if you're awake" attempt.

Yes, this angle is dumb, we all know that.

It is going to set up a match at NWO, where Jericho is going to loose to Test when HBK interferes.

A match will be made for WM, with Jericho/HBK. It will be a retirement match, with Jericho going over HBK. Or, HBK will win the match at WM, then at JD, it will be a retirement match with Jericho going over.

I'd hope for the first thought, but I am not booking so we will see what happens.

Yes, that's a good point, it is all Test's fault for ducking. And if he loses to Jericho at the PPV, maybe they could have Stacy turn on him during the RAW re-match because he didn't properly avenge her. Then she could pair with Jericho, a real man who rarely ducks chairshots, freshening him up a bit and giving him the impetus for another main event run, possibly post-WM against Lesnar?

Oh, what in the hell am I saying. It's just another pointless, mid-card feud. Nothing of interest will happen, nothing of interest ever happens. Who wins, who loses, it doesn't matter. It'll all be forgotten in a week or two. Maybe less. Nothing matters at all in the mid-card purgatory.

Hmm...I was thinking this Jericho/HBK feud could end up like the last Jericho/Legend feud. Jericho loses clean in the match on the big PPV then in the afterthought match he wins cheaply after a crappy match.

if Stacy's criteria for a man is 'not ducking chairshots' then she could be with a returning Mick Foley for all we know. (Although his wife may disagree with that idea) :D

It's all Test's fault!

Damn that Test.. first he sullies Stacy by macking her, then he injures her by being a sloppy worker.
