Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 21, 2003 The Smackdown Taping is here in Albany, NY tonight. Think the show will be worth going? I doubt I can still get the "better" $40 floor seats for my Uncle and myself. I doubt the Angle/Benoit storyline is going to Continue. He'll probably start feuding with Cena or some crap. Taker's gonna be all over the show. Probably start a feud with Big Show or Albert. I can't see anyone making a return tonight. Plus, Albany Sucks and will sit on their hands for the good workers. With the Exception of Angle, Rey and Edge. It just doesn't seem worth it.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Live shows are always worth it. You tell yourself it'll suck beforehand, but being in a mark-predominant crowd always changes things. I've yet to be disappointed in a live show, and I even went to one of the few house shows that had WCW-only matches.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Could be intresting with Steph's bombshell (rumored to be Austin)...but you have to deal with the Dawn/Torrie storyline as well.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 21, 2003 If I read somewhere today that Austin or Rhyno is returning tonight I'll go for sure. I doubt that though. At least not Austin. Plus, I've never been to a Smackdown Taping before. I've read since it's not a live show and not a House show they can just throw together, they make you wait for 10-15 minute in between the matches and Segments. Is that True? Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Balderdash, it's the same intervals as if you were at Raw, it's a few minutes.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Don't go. You sound so down on the whole thing...go do something else you think is fun. niko
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted January 21, 2003 I agree, don't go. Remember, the Dawn Marie/Torrie feud is just getting started.
Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Dont reward WWE with your money.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted January 21, 2003 I'd go. You'll probably get a few good Velocity matches, plus stuff from the usual good suspects (Angle & his Team, Benoit, returning Rey, Knoble and/or Nunzio, Los Guererros, Mattitude & Moore). The Dames 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2003 A few friends of mine are going tonight, they'll be in the second row. I've been to the Pepsi Arena MANY times and I agree....they suck, but hey, it's SD, so you might as well. Dames
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Dont reward WWE with your money. Why? SmackDown has rocked and Kurt Angle is champion. I can't believe people say things like "WWE needs to learn that guys like Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit can be a draw", and then once they're in the focus of the company, switch to "Don't reward them with your cash." Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Indeed. Hell, I finally swallowed my smark pride on Saturday night and ordered the Rumble webcast because I felt that despite the crap on the card it was Benoit/Angle after all and despite seeing my favorite tap out cleanly to a heel (something certain people here *cough*AS*cough* seem to forget in order to kvelch about other things), it was worth it. GO to the show.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Tell me about it. People, realize that if you want more Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit and the other good workers, we need SmackDown to do as well as it can RIGHT NOW to prove that these guys can draw. Also, as a side benefit, when Undertaker or A-Train or someone else captures the gold and attendance falls through the floor, the lack your contribution will make it that much harder on them. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 22, 2003 See now? The show was mostly good, aside from a Bill Demott and Buchannan match. Aren't you sad you didn't go?
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I'm going to RAW next month because I usually have a good time at shows and having a good time can make you forget that what you're seeing prob sucks
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Oh Well. I still have that $60 or more I would have spent in my pocket. Plus, I'll get to see it on TV. their be back. I would have liked to see Jeff Starr work the Dark match. He works a Indy Promotion up here.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 22, 2003 one out of ten shows I go to has that big mark out moment, like when Vince came back in 2000 to save Rock's wrestlemania title shot, or the fans turning on Rock at summerslam, or even the HHH ovation when he returned. (boy were we all wrong) it makes up for the crappy shows... niko
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I more anxious of seeing a house show instead of a televised one. Looks to be more wrestling on it.
Guest EricMM Report post Posted January 22, 2003 or even the HHH ovation when he returned. *shoots Nikowwf a dirty look* DAMN YOU!!!
