Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted January 23, 2003 I wonder if Raven will bring back the ECW/WCW Raven look, minus the long hair, which will be surely missed... If there was no "no compete" clause in his contract, does he for certain have a gag order then?

Jarrett had a lot of help to win that match. Dusty came out and managed to hold off SEX by himself while was pretty funny when he went in the SEX dressing room. It was good to see Scott Armstong kick his brothers ass too.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 Love the fact that almost everyone in the company has a storyline to work with within the SEX/TNA one. Flair with his burlap sack, Nikita-SEX or no, SEX trying to recruit Styles, Truth possibly talking to Sanders, the women fighting, Armstrong vs BG James...it's good stuff. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 I think the JJ match was booked as well as you can book a match with Don Harris and B.G. James in it. The announcers played up Harris' power, Daniels talent and JAmes' experience (because he has nothing else) and the incredible odds JJ had against him. Not only that...they spent the entire show building towards the end of the match as S.E.X. won the tag belts and the tag match against Lynn and Truth. Then they made it into a brawl of a match where the #s kept overcoming JJ's resolve. He bladed, got beatdown. MAde a few comebacks. Then they had Daniels go through a table outside the ring leaving JJ to fend off only 2 people. But they had a running storyline through the match where the ref Scott Armstrong kept preventing his brother James from finishing JJ off. That story came to it's conclusion when James hit the ref, and instead of counting Harris' cover on JJ he took off his ref shirt and brawled with his brother. This left JJ alone with Harris, who he dumped over the top to eliminate him. With JAmes distracted, JJ clotheslined him out making it a one on one match with Daniels still hurt on the outside. Daniels almost pinned JJ after his moonsault, but was slow to capitalize as he was still selling his bump through the table as having injured his ribs, which was where he landed with the moonsault. So he gets two, and decides to go back up top again. This time JJ counters, hits the stroke and gets the win. Then all the TNA people come out and celebrate the win. It was the moment that the whole night had been building towards. The catharsis of the good finally overcoming the evil even though the odds were stacked against them. But. Just when the good guys were finally able to celebrate...out comes Raven to spoil the party, DDT JJ, take the belt and walk out with Russo. In Dames' review he said that the lasting impression from a show is the last thing you see, which was Raven. The reason that this lasting impression worked better is because of the way the whole night was booked. The good guys finally get their moment of glory...and it's used to elavate Raven to super star status in TNA in just moments. I thought the show last night was a very good show, and their were some good matches too. Their getting closer to what I was talking about in my preview.
