Guest AndrewTS Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 From WWE.com: Stephanie McMahon has a big surprise in store for us this Thursday night on SmackDown! (8/7 CT on UPN). According to the SmackDown! General Manager, if you think Eric Bischoff dropped a bombshell this week on RAW, you ain't seen nothin' yet! Speaking of special events, the Undertaker will make his first appearance on SmackDown! after a three-month hiatus. No doubt, the Dead Man will be on the hunt for the Big Show, who dropped Undertaker off the stage three months ago to put him out of action! Stephanie has also arranged for several matches this week on the show: Chris Benoit will go one-on-one with Charlie Haas, while another member of Team Angle, Shelton Benjamin, will tangle with Edge. And Team Angle's distinguished captain, Kurt Angle, will take on Rey Mysterio in a rematch from SummerSlam! B-2 will be on the hunt for revenge when he goes one-on-one with the man who attacked him, Red Dogg, accompanied by John Cena. It will be the proverbial unstoppable force vs. the immovable object when Rikishi takes on Bill DeMott. Will the Phat Man be able to stop DeMott's recent winning streak? Plus, can Shannon Moore give Nunzio a Mattitude adjustment? He'll get the opportunity this Thursday night when the MFer takes on Jamie Noble's cousin. Don't miss SmackDown! when it kicks off at 8/7 CT Thursday night on UPN! ------ Card: Chris Benoit vs. Charlie Haas Red Dog vs. Bull Buchanan Rikishi vs. Bill DeMott Undertaker vs. A Train - 3 DUDs in a row? Edge vs. Sheldon Benjamin Nunzio vs. Shannon Moore Non title match - Angle vs. Rey Mysterio
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 B2 vs Redd Dogg doesn't air
Guest Mole Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Wow Andrew, you must be mad bored to post this early. Hey, this looks A LOT better than Raw.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I was this close to doing it myself..
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 B2 vs Redd Dogg doesn't air Ahh--where'd you hear that? That's actually a good idea, I think. Did he suck that bad and they wanted to kill another Gayda incident? molestomp. Yeah, kinda. But it is Thursday already and may as well get up the O+O thread since the other threads kinda are a ways back. And yes, this one smokes Raw, because although the crap is steaming still, the good stuff looks great. Hmm... Hey...did you notice... NO MENTION OF DAWN OR TORRIE!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!! YES!! YES!! YES!!!!!

YES!! YES!!!!! Well..I just watched Smackdown you know, because I get to watch it early....B2 vs Red Dogg's match time got sacrificed to "The Bombshell surprise" and thats probably about it..probably nothing to do with either of them sucking real bad or anything.. And, while there were no Dawn or Torrie mentionings, Al Wilson's (God rest his soul) name did get a mention..
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Yeah, I read spoilers, but at least that's all it was, a single mention. Although, the person who mentioned it--oh, the irony...
Guest CanadianChick Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Hmm...4 matches (Benoit vs. Haas, Edge vs. Shelton, Rey vs. Angle, Shannon vs. Nunzio) look pretty good...I can live with Demott, Rikishi, Taker and A-Train if the matches are quick. And no Torrie/Dawn?? Thank God.
Guest D'Lo White Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I wish they would of pulled Rikishi/DeMott instead of Redd Dogg/B2. Now there will be no Cena rap.
Guest nikowwf Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 BTW, when we do the previews, wouldnt it make sense to only announce matches that are not made during the show? To avoid spoilers, at least two matches were made during the show. They get set up by angles. niko
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Out of those matches, only the last two (Nunzio vs Moore, Angle vs Rey) look interesting. By default, though, it has to be better than Raw. EDIT: Why isn't there a mention of either Guerrero? I hope Chavo doesn't get depushed to Velocity because Eddie isn't there. Or....maybe he wanted to be on Velocity so he could leave sooner?????
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 BTW, when we do the previews, wouldnt it make sense to only announce matches that are not made during the show? To avoid spoilers, at least two matches were made during the show. They get set up by angles. niko I'd say if there is a mystery partner, yes. Although, since sometimes they announce matches ahead of time which actually aren't booked officially until during the show, I don't think it really matters much in that case.
Guest Downhome Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I have UPN on my TV, waiting for SD to come on, and they just had a preview for the show tonight. One thing that they said, and get ready... ...just who was behind the death of Al Wilson? Was it Dawn Marie, or Torrie Wilson!?
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 To those who haven't read the spoilers.....get your blank tape out....you seriously WONT want to miss this bombshell.
Guest Downhome Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 To those who haven't read the spoilers.....get your blank tape out....you seriously WONT want to miss this bombshell. I know what it is (some ass spoiled it for me, the ass was the guy that pissed with Mole), and my tapes already in my VCR! Damn Steph is gorgous, I'd rather see her in Playboy over Torrie anyday.
Guest Downhome Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Good lord she's fucking hot. At least we can agree on that. Am I the only one who is ok with guys like Benoit starting out a show? It get's everything off on a good foot in my view. If he was in the main event, I wouldn't really like it, but as is, I'm cool with it.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 BENOIT!!!!!! Good lord....I'm never gunna forget giving this man a standing ovation. One of the greatest moments ever in my LIFE. WARMUP SUITS!!!!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Ha..I already have it on tape.. Right off the bat..Benoit vs Haas..
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I know what it is (some ass spoiled it for me, the ass was the guy that pissed with Mole), and my tapes already in my VCR! Same here...I wouldn't miss taping this for the world.

Guest Downhome Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 No complaints that Benoit is curtain-jerking? Had it been RVD however........... *recalls last Fall* I never complained about RVD curtin-jerking. He wasn't really ever in the main event, other than that PPV was he?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I can't get the idea of JR calling Charlie Haas Charlie Hoss, which would be Charlie Horse in oklahoman..
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Charile Haas is a fucking stud.....I'm surprised it took them this long to bring him up. He's green, but he's in just perfect physical shape...and he'll only get by time goes on.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 No complaints that Benoit is curtain-jerking? Had it been RVD however........... *recalls last Fall* I never complained about RVD curtin-jerking. He wasn't really ever in the main event, other than that PPV was he? No Mercy 2001 and Survivor Series 2001.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Whats with "Russ" on the tape on Haas wrist?
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Haas has the name "Russ" on his wrist bands in honor of his late brother, R.C. Haas. Nice gesture.
