Guest RedJed Report post Posted January 23, 2003 On the Larry Z-Styles match where you say why don't they just use Hennig in Zbyskos role.......I would be one to bet that was actually their initial plan of action but I don't think we'll see seeing Hennig much anytime soon. He was breaking script and acting ridiculously unprofessional in his last show out (the one where he had that pole match with David Flair) according to Meltzer so we might have seen the last of him. Good riddance!
Astro101 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 Yea, I'd rather see Larry Z in the role besides Hennig. At least with Z, we don't have to hear how he took down Lesnar 35,000 feet in the air.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 I was kind of into what they were doing in the Styles/Larry match, but then the ending just came out of nowhere after only a few minutes. The match had a better buildup than a 5 minute match with a non-clean ending blowoff. That was disapointing. However...I really like the way they are building feuds up now. Siaki/Kash's rematch, JJ/Raven, JJ/Styles, Truth/Lynn seeds were planted, I liked the Koloff/Rhodes segment. They mentioned that Red would get an X title shot soon. Everyone on the show is doing something, and for the most part it makes sense. Good review as always Dames, and thanks for the plug.

I really hope they told Hennig to stop using that. Look what it got Hennig. Jobber status in the NWA whereas Lesnar has been King Of The Ring, Heavyweight Champion, and Royal Rumble champion all within his first year. I think we know who really won the fight at 35 000 feet. Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted January 24, 2003 Good, I hope they shitcanned Hennig. I was actually going to post about it, but seeing how it already happened... I'm begging for TNA to get rid of this guy permanently. Constant references to the fucking Lesnar incident, which maybe a few dozen smarks know about and isn't even the true account of the story, makes TNA look bush league, and doesn't advance anything. The Chris Vaughn incident I'm sure was unscripted, proof of how much a prick the guy is in real life, and on top of everything fucking BG James is outworking him. Never, ever again, book that has-been prick, good riddance. This guy is NOT a legend, he's helping no one and dragging TNA down.
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted January 25, 2003 Great review, Dames. I'm going to order TNA again for the first time in like, 20 weeks, JUST to see "HEY!!" Mike Sanders~!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 25, 2003 Sanders is a genius. Well...maybe not a genius... But that spot he did telling Jerry Lynn that the people weren't here to see him and then proving it by making the crowd respond to him like sheep was awesome. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2003 What exactly did Sanders do with "Hey," I read in a Week 28 thread that he could get the crowd to respond by just moving his hand or something?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 27, 2003 His first match (the week before last) he started spreading his arms and yelling "HEY!" everytime he only got a 2 count on Jerry Lynn. One week later he was able to command the audience into yelling "HEY!" everytime he moved his arms. It's pretty entertaining and really gets the crowd into his matches. They even used the "HEY!" trick to lead to Jerry Lynn finally getting the hot tag into the Truth last week.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 For some reason, I didn't notice the HEY before...guess I was busy flipping the channels. But I saw the replay last night and it was frickin' hilarious. I was yelling HEEEY along with Sanders. He has this command...
