Chunk 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2003 also I'd love a copy of the 1988 Royal Rumble I have the first ever rumble on PAL video tape. I thought it was from 1989 though. Im sure rumbles happened before 1989, but I thought that 1989 was the first ever broadcast one. Let me know if your interested in PAL 1989 rumble. ChUnK! TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2003 1988 was a USA TV Rumble it was like a PPV except on free TV(like all of NWA's Clash of the Champions). It didn't really well since they were testing the broadcast and it was mainly used to hype Hogan/Andre 2.
Guest JeremyBUWE Report post Posted January 25, 2003 I have the 1988 Rumble too, but the VQ is weak. JW.

Chunk 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2003 Right, I see. Was the '88 rumble ever released on commercial tape, or does it just exist from people taping it off tv? ChUnK!
Guest theoldxpac Report post Posted January 26, 2003 the 88 rumble was called the rumble royal, the rumble match had only 20 participants Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat defeated Ravishing Rick Rude via disqualification Dino Bravo attempted to set a new world bench press record by lifting 715 lbs. The Jumping Bomb Angels defeated the Glamour Girls to capture the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Hacksaw Jim Duggan won the Royal Rumble
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2003 I don't think it was ever released. MY guess is people taped it off the original airing.
