Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 25, 2003 Raiders 24 Buccs 16 MVP-Rich Gannon All the so called experts on ESPN.Com are picking Tampa. Quit frankly I don't think they know what their talking about.
Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Do the ESPN talking heads ever know what they are talking about when it isn't fed to them from cue cards? Raiders - 34 Bucs - 14 The Raiders are a team on a mission as hald their team could retire before next season starts and for some, they are looking to get that last ring. The current Bucs players have many more years to get a ring so come Sunday, the Paper champs will have to live with that label a little longer.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted January 26, 2003 The Bucs are clearly the better team. The Raiders wouldn't have beaten the Eagles either. Bucs 35 Raiders
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted January 26, 2003 The Bucs are clearly the better team. Not if Brad Johnson has to leave the game, then they are F-U-C-K-E-D. Dr. Tom forgot to put my final score in the predictions. I say Oakland wins 24-17.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted January 26, 2003 The only thing that can stop the Raiders is the Bucs signing Tony Sarigusa to fall on Rich Gannon... oh and that really good Tampa defense too. I think this will be a close one, but Raiders take it in the end. Oakland 21 Tampa Bay 17 MVP - Charlie Garner
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Bucs win. Damn ye Buc doubters.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted January 26, 2003 I'm excited. Both teams have been great fun to watch, and it should be a fine game. Bucs win, 23-20.

Guest DrTom Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Dr. Tom forgot to put my final score in the predictions. I say Oakland wins 24-17. Had that score appeared in your email, I would have gladly included it. I said Bucs 23-20, and I'm sticking to it.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Had that score appeared in your email, I would have gladly included it. It was in bold at the end. You either missed it or are trying to hold down the new guy. Dr. Tom = The HHH of TSM
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted January 26, 2003 I said Bucs 23-20, and I'm sticking to it. OMG SCORE BUDDIES I like how almost everyone is picking in the 20-27 points a team range. Watch it be some ridiculous 55-10 nonsense now.

Guest Smues Report post Posted January 26, 2003 The only thing that can stop the Raiders is the Bucs signing Tony Sarigusa to fall on Rich Gannon Or the stadium suddenly moving to New England, being covered in snow, and Tom Brady fumbling the football. Guest Banky Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Raiders 38 Bucs 17 Contest won't even be close. The Raider's defense is better than the Buc's offense and the Buc's defense will be overwhelmed by the Raider's offense. BUT, next year the Bucs will win the whole damn thing while the Raiders won't even make the playoffs. The Raider's have the experience, and EVERYONE on the squad knows they need to win this year or its not at all. The experience of Romanowski, Rice, and R.Woodson has gotten the Raiders ready. The Bucs are simply too inexperienced, too cocky, and unprepared for the Raiders. Aside from the 3 games in the middle of the season and the Dolphins game, no one has compared to the Raiders at all. So, barring a major Raiders choke (which I highly doubt) this one ain't gonna be close at all.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Well, prior to my Attacks tonight, I was thinking Raiders 34 Bucs 27 but now, if history repeats itself... Raiders 37 Bucs 13 Gannon: 311 Yards 4 td's Johnson: 163 Yards 1 TD MVP: Tim Brown (107 Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 15 Catches)

Guest cartman Report post Posted January 26, 2003 The only thing that can stop the Raiders is the Bucs signing Tony Sarigusa to fall on Rich Gannon Or the stadium suddenly moving to New England, being covered in snow, and Tom Brady fumbling the football. Wasn't a fumble though... Secondly I am sure I speak for alot of people in saying "Who cares" when it comes to tonight's game...cause both teams are Nationally hated by most. Tampa should win, since the stigma is that Defense wins Championships. Oakland has no Defense so Brad Johnson will look pretty good today, unless some Oakland fan shoots him during the game or something, wouldnt suprise me either. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Just in case I oversleep, here are my picks. My Superbowl pick: Oakland (LOCK) 1. Oakland 2. Oakland 3. 23 4. 45 5. 390 6. 205 7. Tampa Bay (they'll kick to the Raiders first...) The others will be posted at kick-off, in an orderly fashion (after coin-toss, correct coin-toss predictors will be announced; at halftime, correct halftime-predictors will be announced, etc.)
Guest Bricks Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Flipping through the channels last night and stopped on CNN and got this... Tampa Bay's Keenan McCardell just won the 989 Sports NFL GameDay Game Before The Game yesterday. The last seven winners have also won the SuperBowl with their teams on Sunday. Does the pattern continue?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 26, 2003 This is the most obvious special teams game ever. The offense and defense are both pretty even. That means the Raiders will lose by 3 thanks to thier fumbleicious kick returners and hideous punt coverage. Maybe now coaches will stop building thier kick units out of a bunch of scrubs off the street.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Maybe now coaches will stop building thier kick units out of a bunch of scrubs off the street. It worked for the Saints (Michael Lewis).
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 26, 2003 No, he was a good player off the street. That doesn't count. EDIT: Barret Robbins was late for the team meeting this morning and won't get to start. Also, ESPN.com has shattered it's own record for shameless shilling of brodcast partners. Guest Kinetic Report post Posted January 26, 2003 Bucs-24 Raiders-14 I guess I'm slightly biased, but I think Oakland is outmatched. And with their secondary being what it is, Tampa's offense should be able to score enough points to pull this one out.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted January 26, 2003 ESPN2 is showing all the Superbowl highlights today. They're up to 28 (Bills/Cowboys II) now. Incidentally, what's everyone's top 5 games? Me? 5. III (Jets vs. Colts) - Never seen it, but it has to be here for historical reasons. 4. XXV (Giants vs. Bills) - From Whitney Houston's singing, to Norwood's miss, great drama throughout. 3. XXXIV (Rams vs. Titans) - One yard, just one damn yard away. 2. XXXII (Packers vs. Broncos) - Elway finally gets his ring in a pretty damn good game. 1. XXXVI (Patriots vs. Rams) - For obvious reasons, but it wasn't a bad game for a Superbowl.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2003 I believe that this will be one of the best super bowls ever, matching the ones recently that featured the Rams. I honestly can't pick one or the other, but since i like the Raiders(and the whole team image that they have, and have had since their beginning) I am going to pick them. I think Gannon will be MVP, and it would be especially nice since Marcus is going to be inducted into the hall and all that.
Guest Banky Report post Posted January 26, 2003 How can people say the Raiders have no defense? Be realistic people, it was ranked 3rd in the NFL. Plus, with every week back, C. Woodson gets healthier. And whens he's healthy, NO ONE is better.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted January 26, 2003 I read in the paper today that comedians/magicians Penn and Teller will be predicting the final score of the game and the MVP during the pre-game show. Have they been on yet?
