Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Since it's Not TV or a Taping, the guys usually either half ass it, or just get laid back and have fun with the crowd on House Shows. Who would you say are/were some of the best Workers on House Shows? I'm Saying Owen Hart was my favorite. I saw him a few times and he was always out there having fun and just playing with the crowd. The Early Stone Cold Steve Austin, Pre-World Champion, was great at working the crowd and trying his ass off to get Heel Heat. Most of the crowd was cheering him, But he tried. Think he was working against Jim Neidhart when I saw him. Shawn Michaels during his IC Days was good. He was always great at pissing the crowd off. I saw Kurt Angle last summer, and he worked hard, but he just didn't seem into working the crowd. It was also the day before SummerSlam and he was working against Rey, so he was probably more concern with getting use to working with someone that small and a warm up for the PPV. Eddie Guerrero worked the Crowd really well. Rico kicks ass working the Crowd. He really plays off the "Rico's Gay" and "Faggot" chants on House Shows. I've always heard Jericho is great at working the crowds, I've yet to see him yet though. Who would you guys say are some of the best, or your Favorites? Guest candie45 Report post Posted January 29, 2003 I've only been to one house show before, and RVD and Rico were the best as far as interacting with the crowd. RVD slapped everyone's hands on the outside like 10 times (which I heard he does at a lot of house shows), and Rico really played to the crowd. (not to mention he signed autographs and did pictures after). Booker T and Goldust also shook everyone's hands. Big Show also did some crowd interacting... Guest notJames Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Hardcore Holly was my favourite. He'd go out, stiff his opponent 'til his face swelled, hit the ref with a baseball bat, throw chairs at the fans, donkey punch the ring announcer, and set fire to the popcorn vendors. Then he'd down a protein shake and have a good laugh with Perry Saturn. That Bob Holly... what a ribber.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Gotta go with the Dudley Boyz, ECW days...the near riots these bastard caused, great stuff. Last WWF houseshow I went to, Billy and Chuck were heels and just acting like goofy bastards, the crowd liked them.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Eddie Guerrero. At a house show I was at, a fan at ringside asked him if Chavo was his new mamacita. He then replied with "I'll make you my mamacita, bitch!" It was gold. Eddie was like that the whole match.
Guest Brian Report post Posted January 29, 2003 But Michaels during his world title days was packing it up and going through the motions, not even trying all the time. I think Owen was one of the best I've seen.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 29, 2003 At the house show I went to I'd have to give props to RVD and Eddy. They had a rematch of their ladder match from RAW and despite it being just a house show they went out and did tons of insane spots and even improved on the RAW match. I greatly appreciated that they went out and did all that just to entertain the fans
Guest Justwitty Report post Posted January 29, 2003 I echo all the RVD sentiments as I saw him at a house show in Seattle last year and as all of you have said, he really does go out of his way to interact with the fans. Another person who does a good job is Christian. He always gets the crowd riled up and works a pretty good match to boot during house shows. His whole persona as a character is tailor made for house shows.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted January 29, 2003 The Dudleyz really work the crowd.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Most of the ECW guys are god for house shows because they were taught to work the crowd into the match more.
Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted January 29, 2003 When the Hardys were in their prime as a team, they put on some awesome house show matches. The last house show I went to in 2001, they went 30 minutes in a fatal 4 way against the Dudleys, Lance Storm and Kanyon, and E&C and had the crowd eating out of the palm of their hands. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Yeah the Hardys were good. The WWE house show I went too early last year had a Hardys and Lita vs. Dudley's and Jazz match on it that rocked the house. The Hardy's used to spot like it was a ppv. Now Jeff can't even move. Guest treble charged Report post Posted January 29, 2003 Last house show I went to had a Rico/Billy/Chuck vs. Hugh Morrus/Mark Henry/Shannon Moore match. Rico, Billy, and Chuck (especially Rico) were great. From humping Tony Chimmel in the corner, to Rico disputing our chants of 'Chucky Swallows' ('No he doesn't, he SPITS!'). Just hilarious stuff the way they played to the crowd. Angle's always put on a good show the 2 house show's I've seen him at, too.
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted January 30, 2003 RVD always does his best to entertain fans at house shows.
