Guest Muzz Report post Posted January 30, 2003 Short and Sweet, I hope... ... Lord above - why don't you tell me Why I'm here in agony? I've been serving, I've been praying Now I'm caught in misery. I've been praised by friar Jakob, I misused his confidence. Cheated by this work of evil - Feigning Anna's innocence. Oh what have I done? So many ways lead to the fallen one, Lucifer, fallen light... Oh what have I done? What is going on? We should bring salvation, Not give in to his temptation - no! Read and preach the holy world And no forbidden lies that hurt. I remember words of "seven". Set me free - sanity! ... A Wind swept coastline, beautiful green and lush rolling hills. Even If a blackened sky has traversed over this majestic land and rain begins to fall in a torrent, it only adds to the aura that this place brings. I listen to the rain with a smile. Silently gazing out the window, looking out upon the land that had drew me here as a young man. Memories flood back to me like the downpour outside the window. I smile gently, below, I can hear the sounds of a party in full swing. I should go back to them... I hear a sound, coming from down the hallway. Footsteps, but out of sync. Turning to my bedroom door, I watch the man hobble into picture. Despite his obvious injury, he has a joyous smile on his face, which warms me so. Champagne glass in hand, he limps across the room, standing next to me, as I turn and lose myself in the majestic scenery. As a young man I had come here, searching for peace and serenity that I could only find in this part of the world, and I am happy to say, I have found it. But I fear something will pull me and the place I now call home apart, and I have a feeling, that is why he is here... 'Your kind of place, I imagine,' he says to me, a sheepish smile on his brow. 'I'm glad you invited me, there's something I need to talk to you about.' 'I know,' I reply, turning to my old friend. 'I listened to his final message, on a tape recorder he sent.' 'I see...' The man turns away, attempting to sit on the bed, but his debilatating injury causes him to cringe. I had noticed, that even the simplest of tasks bring him much pain. I feel the need to apoligise to him, but know that my words couldn't make him forget the pain that he had put him through. He sighs, 'I feel the need to tell you...' 'What exactly?' 'I know he sent you a tape, and that explained everything that had happened,' he replied. 'Yes...' I say. 'I also know what it drove him to do,' I look down at his leg, and feel the need to say something, 'I can't apoligise enough for...' 'He wasn't your responsibility, no matter what his mother said,' He anwered reasuringly. 'What he did, what he has done, is all in the past now...' I sigh, 'I know, I just couldn't believe he would take his own life. Years ago, he was happy. I could see it in his eyes. He had such ambition, high hopes for the fut-' 'He's not dead.' I froze. He continued looking at me, looking for my reaction from his sudden confession. I had taught myself to stay emotionless, and could oonly reply: 'Do you know that for sure?' 'You said you couldn't believe he would take his own life, and neither do I. He sent me a tape as well, but... he wouldn't take his own life,' He answered, storking his chin and shaking his head. I was dumbfounded, "What should we do?' 'What can we do?' Came his rhetorical response, 'Don't worry, he'll turn up eventually. He still has things to settle, things he would not settle on a simple tape recording.' Outside, the rain continues to fall. I can't turn away, all I can do is think. I knew he was right, and I'm glad he is. 'I'll see him again.' ... Reach out for the light Far beyond confines. You have read the magic lines Leading to the light in your mind...
