I rarely see people such as IDrinkRatsMilk, BigmcLargehuge, Banky, or even CWM in somewhere like the WWE folder. I realize some stupid topics and useless conversation can go on there, but a lot of times I feel like I have no one to argue valid points with. I glance around this folder every now and then and I feel like a lot of you who post often in here are really intelligent. I assume you started posting here because you like wrestling, and the WWE is pretty much the only game in town. Would it hurt for some of you to help the conversation over there? Just a simple question, not bitching or taking a shot at anyone. I would just like to talk about wrestling with a few of you who I rarely get the chance to. Guest SP-1 Report post Posted January 30, 2003 Honestly, I rarely post in WWE for the reason you just cited: it's rare that a good, intelligent thread comes up. And it usually degenerates into, "ANGLE IS GAWD" or "CRIPLE H SUCKS!" or some other similar situation. Plus, I've come to dislike the flippant way alot of smarks approach judging a wrestler. Even if you're not entertained, those guys go out there and bust ass for us. I can understand why Chris Jericho blasted the net community on his website. Yeah, I've taken my pot shots, but it's something that very recently has really gotten under my skin. I do participate in wrestling discussion more heavily elsewhere, though, because there's generally very good discussion because most of the HHHaters and elitists haven't traveled to these lands yet. And I'm not taking shots at anyone in general but really to deny what I put above is just being blind. The WWE folder's topics turn to shat pretty easily. It just irks me because susually other folders that a lot of you spend time in have a lot of good topics and fryuitful conversation. I don't even watch it all the time to comment on it, it's been pretty bad. The blind hatred of Scott Steiner bothers me. He does suck, but he isn't clsoe to the worst wrestler in the company. These people act as though THEY are better wrestlers than Steiner. Coupled with the fact that wrestling doesn't hold my interest the way it used to. I still watch it and all, but I don't look forward to Mondays and Thursdays how I used to. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 30, 2003 I think part of the overall downswing wrestling is going through and the negativity surrounding the WWE's product hurts the WWE folder. They don't do a lot of things right and whenever they do something wrong, which is quite often, everyone on the board jumps on them. Rarely does anyone look at the positives of the company or notice that they're not gonna die anytime soon. I think all the HHHating also really hurts the folder. The cool thing is, there are so many on here who have such valid opinions and can back it up with facts and I really enjoy posting a tirade full of serious information and those bandwagoners just not saying anything. I'm going to look around for other boards and take your suggestion Banky, I just think it would be really great for the more opinionated and unbiased posters on this board who frequent this folder to tear it up in there , if only for a week, and see if something can be brought to the table in the WWE folder.
