When did this movie come out? It is the funniest thing

I have seen in a long time despite the presence of

one Jim Breur. Obviously with two of the funniest

human beings alive today in it (Harland Williams and

Dave Chapelle) the bar was set very high. Harland had

very little to do with the movie anwyays. But the scene

stealer was Killer the Rottweiler. Any scene involving

him should have had a warning scrolling along the bottom

about involuntary urination. What did you guys think of it?

Funny Funny stuff. The first time I saw it, I was so high that when I saw it the second time sober, I didn't know ANYTHING about the movie.

The ONLY thing I remembered was...."Yo, I'm Cuban, be!"

"YES....Cuban be!"

That line ALWAYS gets me....

I love when Chapelle discusses the different potheads. Such as the scavenger, as played by Snoop Dogg. Great scene. Also, when everyone's head gets stamped with the words "POTHEAD" including the dog... and to think I saw it sober too... how funny is it while high?

Watching it high, you'll be laughing so hard, you'll miss half the jokes!

First of all to understand what happened to killer, you gotta understand who Killer the dog was. Now Killer was born to a three-legged bitch of a mother. He was always ashamed of this, man. And then right after that he's adopted by this man, Tito Liebowitz he's a small time gun runner and a rotweiler fight promoter. So he puts Killer into training. They see Killer's good. He is damn good. But then he had the fight of his life. They pit him against his brother Nibbles. And Killer said "no man that's my brother, I can't fight Nibbles" but they made him fight anyway, and Killer, he killed Nibbles. Killer said "that's it!" he called off all his fights, and he started doing crack, and he freaked out. Then in a rage, he collapsed, and his heart no longer beat. Wow.

It came out in 1998. I saw it in the theater with some friends. Didn't think I'd like it, but it was hilarious without resorting to stupid humor that most teen flicks do.

The thing I liked best was all the cameos. Chapelle was on the Daily Show last week and John Stewart told him that everytime he goes to a Denny's at three in the morning all these stoners run up to him and say stuff like, "dude, have you ever ate the Grand Slam breakfast...ON WEED!" My personal favorites were Tommy Chong as the Squirrel Master and Bob Sagat's enfamous line of , "I used to suck dick for cocaine."

Half Baked is worth watching to hear Bob Saget say "You ever suck dick for coke?" You gotta love Squirrel Master and Nasty Nate

He said "Yo, I'm Cuban, b" cause Sampson called hin Puerto Rican.

Plus cameos by Snoop Dogg and Willey Nelson...how can you beat that?

Half Baked is the shit. And it's like a whole different movie when you're high, so really it's like two movies. Snoop Dogg's cameo was my favorite part.

I loved the scene at the beginning at the movie where Scarface was working at the fast food place. Despite being right behind the guy at the register, the register guy spoke right into the mic to repeat the customer's orders. Seeing Scarface flip out on the guy was classic.

Even though I'm not really a drug supporter, that has to be one of my favourite obscure comedies of all time next to Orgazmo.

I loved when they were robbing the lab for pot, and they get caught and Thurgood says "at least Brian got away"...then out of nowhere Brian just falls out of the sky and gets up like nothing happened.

Umm, do you mean you don' think he is funny? Because he is what MADE this movie.

I first saw this movie in the theaters before I smoked pot, so I didn't get half of the jokes. But when I saw it the first time when I did smoke pot, and when I was stoned, it was 10 times funnier.

Best line of the movie was when Kenny was getting all the munchie good. He comes out of the store and sees the horse:

Kenny: Ya hungry girl?

Fat Black Lady Walking by: Fuck you nigga

I laughed my ASS off hearing this. OMG, soo funny.

More favorite lines from the movie:

Brian: Get some sour cream and onion chips with some dip, man, some beef jerky, some peanut butter. Get some Haagen-Das ice cream bars, a whole lot, make sure chocolate, gotta have chocolate, man. Some popcorn, red popcorn, graham crackers, graham crackers with marshmallows, the little marshmallows and little chocolate bars and we can make smores, man. Also, celery, grape jelly, Captain Crunch with the little Crunch berries, pizzas. We need two big pizzas, man, everything on 'em, with water, whole lotta water, and Funyons.

Kenny Davis: That's it?

Thurgood Jenkins: Yeah, one more thing. Remember that stuff? We used to eat a whole lot of it back in the day? What was it... oh yeah, pussy.

Another:

Scarface: I got it! Why don't we sell that weed that we smoked earlier!

Thurgood Jenkins: We suggested that already!

Scarface: For real, B?

[Phone beeps go off in Scarface's head]

Voice: Marijuana affects the memory.

One More:

Thurgood Jenkins: Guys just shutup about the weed for two seconds, I don't want this girl to know I smoke

Scarface: Yeah it's bad enough you a janitor yo.

Thurgood Jenkins: Custodian, dick!

This movie brings up a good question: For stoner movies like Half-baked and/or Cheech&CHong, should it be a preressiquit(I know I didn't spell it right)to have smoked pot? Now I don't mean you necessarily have to BE HIGH WHILE WATCHING IT, but I mean if you have truly NEVER BEEN HIGH, at least on POT, then IMO, I don't think it can be quite the SAME experience, oh well just my opinion though. Thoughts?

Yes, Scarface was on week one and week two of Chappelle's Show. In week one, he was in the Popcopy (Kinko's) skit as one of the employees. In week two, he was in the "Wrap It Up Box" ad. Scarface's real name is Guillermo Diaz and I thought I was the only one who marked for Clarence Williams III when he says, "YES, Cuban B!" That guys a nut.

Remember when he calls Chappelle and Chappelle tries to get him off of the phone by pretending he's Samson's sister with an emergency call:

Chappelle: "Samson, this is Sheila. Momma..."

Samson: "SHUT UP, BITCH!"

So many parts of that flick crack me up. Also for some reason I larf when they say that the weed is the shiznittlebamsnipsnapsack~!
