Lex Luger Expects To Return To WWE

Lex Luger, despite a poor performance on the latest WWA tour, has told friends that he expects a call from Vince McMahon about a return to WWE in the near future.

 

Luger has bulked up to over 300 pounds, and feels McMahon would be a mark for his increased body mass.

 

In addition, Luger reportedly believes that McMahon is running out of surprise returns, and will turn to Luger for a surprise sometime soon.

I feel he could be on Stasiak levels of miscommunication with the WWE, but my God it could happen, and he is really cathcing on the the WWE's ways of hiring. That may be the one smart thing he has done as far as wrestling is concerned in a long while. I sincerely hope it doesn't pay off unless he's just comedic relief like he was in WCW. I found him rather funny even if that role was unintentional.

I don't think Luger's "suprise" return will amount to anything. He has a high opinion of himself and must have forgotten that this isn't 1990.

Good idea. Oh and I want to apologise for my misspelling of the thread title, that really pisses me off.

 

Anyway, he brings nothing to the table. He can't draw AT ALL, no charisma or work ethic and he's injury prone.

 

Hogan drew one show, has charisma.

 

Hall and Nash had charisma.

 

Steiner had charisma and has drawn a bit.

 

Luger isn't half as profitable as those guys who haven't amounted to much (or never did) in their latest tenure in the WWE.

 

Steiner may still have legs, but he'd really need to work on some things, he just seems uncomfortable out there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vince signed him. The thing is, who cares about Luger. A lot of the younger fans will not have a clue who he really is, and the older fans will just turn off. I think the writers and Triple H did a great job on the Raw after the Rumble putting Steiner back on then rails after that horrible match. But I don't see what they'd do with Luger - they have too many guys at the moment as it is. Unless Vince is overcome by paranoia and buys all wrestlers who draw in other companies to save himself, I don't see Luger being given a deal.
